ULCINJ - 4K - 2021 - RELAXING - WOW MONTENEGRO

Founded in the 5th century BC, Ulcinj is one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast.
It is an attractive destination for tourists, because of its Long Beach, which is the longest beach on the Montenegrin coast (12 Km), Lake Šas, Ada Bojana Island and its two-millennia-old Ulcinj Castle. Ada Bojana is a beautiful island, famous all over the world for its nudist settlement and untouched nature.
Throughout history, Ulcinj and its people have always been connected with pirate stories.
Aside from attacking and robbing trading ships, the Ulcinj pirates were also known for their trade with black slaves. Even today you can hear stories told by the old Ulcinj settlers that by 1878 a hundred black people had lived in Ulcinj. You will also learn that, among the slaves, there was also the famous writer Cervantes.
In January 2010, the New York Times ranked the south coast region of Montenegro, featuring Velika Plaza, Ada Bojana, and the Hotel Mediteran, as one of "The Top 31 Places to Go in 2010".
