What a nice stable!
I use a grinder to cut wire panels & hardware cloth. It is fast and makes smooth edges. IMO, you can never have too much cattle panel.
Thanks for the video!
I'll keep the grinder idea for the next panel I cut ;)
That fit like a glove! The two of you make a good team.
Awesome progress, thanks for bringing us along.
Stable looking great.
Great job, great video. Love getting the kids involved.
fantastic! looking real nice.
Metal tray is a to hold sheet rock mud!
Stable looks great.
Really nice looking!
I love that idea for transporting the panels Blake. I usually have to hook up the trailer when I pick them up. I'll be trying it next time. The divider looks great and should serve you well!
Chuck
Thanks Chuck. It's kinda like a circus getting those folded in the truck bed all by yourself, but it's loads of fun! LOL
It's good to see that you're finally getting the horse barn completed and looking great...Spiders natures creatures...I keep out of their way!
Excellent video. A creative way to solve a need
Hmm good job, Thanks from Australia 🐨🐨👍🏼
Good job sir!
Wonderful video! 😊😉😎
yall did a good job looks good
Nice job!
Great video~
Lovely! And your teenage son makes me smile....I have had two teenage sons and know them well :)
He's a hoot
Don't you love it when a plan comes together!
Somehow I believe something sometime will prove that it didn't go as well as I think it did! LOL
That's the optimist in you!
Maggie is one lucky horse!
rustic look, ilike it..
keep it up daddy kirbs! =D
great job
Barn is looking great!! I'm sure it's on the list but make sure to finish the bottom of the stall walls so that they are solid to the ground (eg bank with packed down tailings) before adding bedding so there is less risk of getting a leg caught if one of them lays down.
Oh boy... that was not on the list. I'll do that!
It's often overlooked! Many a broken leg can be prevented just by doing this
I like that you had no idea!! thats great that you said that. I was about to shut down and head out to the barn, then you caught my attention. Fake it till you make it! and no better education then "just do'n it" way to go. I will subscribe
Doing is learning and Learning is doing. Thanks for watching!
The spiders are called Golden Orb Garden spiders. My grandmother threatened us with the "beatings of our lives" if we ever harmed them. And no, I was not abused. And I never bothered those spiders. They are welcome in my garden as well. You are right, they are definitely cool. :D
They are beautiful! I love to see them all over my farm.
Like a glow! Looks great! All except the spiders 😰
Awesome job! Very fun AND practical video. Reminds me of my yester-year on my horse barn > coaxing my teen son to cooperate. Think yours did better! :) Bravo!
My son has a metal tray like that and he used it when he made mud to tape and bed a wall.
good to see you're up and running! The spider is a and Orb weaver it's and Argiope
Could add some 3 1/2 -4 inch trim also secure it in more
I've seen those trays at Home Depot in case you want more. I believe they were in the area near the mud floats? (For tile setting)
Well you did a great job on that horse stall Big Daddy!
Thank you :)
Blake Kirby how did you come up with the design? Did you just kind of model it after horse stalls you've seen or something else?
Blake Kirby you could make those longer and then have the mirror image facing each other and have a lot of space for animals.( just saying)
Also I like that framing above the entrance of the structure looks like you could hang plants or have grape Vines or something
Hi. Good job :)
That "tray" is used to carry grout or dry wall mud to the work site.
I did not know that :)
i would board it up between stalls. might rear up and get shoe in wire.just my opinion
I suppose anything is possible. The size of the holes in the wire is under 4 inches. Hopefully that is too small for any hoof or shoe to get caught in.
I like seeing those spiders in the garden. I call them writing spiders.
I like them too :)
This may be a question for your live stream on Saturday (so I don't forget to ask when I watch (lol), What is the purpose for Garden Spiders and are they dangerous if bitten because they look pretty intimidating?
I love that run in , it is so sturdy , did you build it or did it come on the property?
Yes, I built the whole structure. There are a few videos on the build. Not as many as I would like, but a few... I think most of them are in this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLECntU4sFKgCNCkgVEP4Df66o3pY7cjAm.html
What guage is that wire fence
thank god we don't have those spiders where I live, sooo scary
Those are huge spiders
That's a drywall mud pan
Go to the drywall tool section and lowes or home depot
Haha teenagers...Are you sure you're strong enough for those wire cutters dad?
I remember being 17 and "strong" too ;)
How wide are holes in the wire
You shouldn't do this, a horse could get it's front hove stuck
Loved the side show! Is he a new hire?
Phyllis White That's his son
Age Sam thank you. He is the same age as my grandson. Watching him reminded me of my sons and grandsons. Lol
Phyllis White He used to do the beekeeping series with his dad (golden son beekeeping), but he got camera shy or something and has since requested to not be part of the bee videos.
Correct, he really doesn't like being in the videos at all, but I guess last night he was in a good mood ;)
Blake Kirby you've got a good egg on your hands, enjoyed the video ;)
Whoa, watch out. They'll be calling you Cowboy Daddy as if you know what you're doing, lol. ( mumbles, should have used concrete 3 foot thick....)
Haha
you need a A then you could make F.F.A.
Liar, you said you wouldn't put that last one in :(
I heard very good opinions about the Woodglut plans.
