I grew up in a family of 9 kids. My mom never asked us what we liked at the store. We were just there to push one of the 3 carts in our monthly major grocery haul. We would go back for little things as we needed it. My mom was not that accomidating. You ate what she bought and that was it. Lol
Before yall come for me in the comments this was not shade. I'm waiting on the comment where someone says "well she isn't your mom" or yall must have been poor. Lol. I was raised in the 80's and 90's it was different back then. You had to use your work paycheck to feed your family. No monetization going on. These people can do what they want with there money and there kids.

I grew up similar to you, although there were only 6 of us kids. I truly wonder what a lot of these UA-camrs would do for a living to support themselves and their families without the money their channels contribute, including the sponsors and donations?

@@angelawilliams2357 hey I'm not knocking there hustle. It's just not realistic for a family that big. But I guess it is for UA-camrs. They make quite a bit of money doing this. I need to think about a career change. Lol

Totally agree - no shade at all, it was fun to watch, but I grew up the youngest of 6-kids in the 70/80's & we ate whatever was put on the table (usually very simple/basic food), or we didn't eat at all 😂..Zero negotiating went on in our house..We weren't poor either, with two professional parents present & working. It was just different times back then.. Got my own kids up the same way in the mid-2000's - first time I ever wasted 'any' food was when they left home last year..

@@suzanneford1571 it costs an average of $5.75 per pound. It's definitely less than buying in the store. We're a family of 4, but I don't personally eat meat. Even then the $1,200 our half a cow costs is still less than if we were to purchase our meat from the store. We also purchase a pig from another farmer. Chickens we raise and slaughter ourselves. One of my cousins has 8 siblings and a very large amount of nieces and nephews. Now that the mother is 97 years old only 2 daughters are around to take care of her. My favorite cousin is now sick and cannot go to Jamaica to help with the care of their mom. Her sister who lives with the mom and another sister are the only ones to care for their mom. The live in sister complains that the other siblings and grand and great grandchildren go to the resorts when they go down to visit. I've been a stay at home mom since the youngest was 4 and I love it, but I've felt alone as far as other women judging that we have too many kids and being at home is lazy. Our kids are on the honor roll and cooking and cleaning, being the kids and hubbys hairdresser (I'm actually licensed) and being the kids supporter and chauffeur, keeps my life so full. I love how you hold your household together, my kids are getting older now and I am so grateful for the bond we've built. Your big beautiful family brings me joy.

100$ per kid sounds pretty accurate I have 4 kids my youngest was just born 2 weeks and 3 days ago. With my older 3 I’m the same way. I only take one the helper lol cuz if not they argue, play and make me spend more then what I wanted to also i hate cooking after grocery shopping especially going when your already hungry😅

After watching this grocery shopping expedition, I will no longer complain about my grocery budget for my family of 4. I fuss about the rising costs of food all the time. 1k for one week of groceries😳? How on earth do you manage? Are you all financially able to go on vacations and eat out? Not that those activities are required for happiness…. Just curious if you do or if you don’t. I admire how lighthearted you are about all of it. Thanks for sharing.

A lot of friends ate wharever was made and that was it. Ms Kora whatever u gotta do to take care of ur family. Thats all that matters. Ur gonna have haters not everyone has a personality like u and hubby. A lot of these creators try but it just dont work for them.

You should consider growing your own food at home. Even getting fruit trees and just growing them in pots. It makes a huge difference in the grocery bill. It is possible to grow food where you live, you just need your use shade cloth during the hottest months. You need chickens too. 6 chickens should be enough for your family.
