In this Bucket hat crochet tutorial, I will show You how to crochet a baby bucket hat. This baby hat I made for my little girl of 8 months, but You can do it in all sizes as I explain in this video. This How to crochet bucket hat tutorial is a perfect crochet tutorial if you dont know how to crochet a bucket hat.
I will go forward very slowly and explain everything i´m doing, so You can follow even if you are a beginner and have never tried to crochet a sun hat. I reccomend that You have tried the half double crochet stitch before so it´s easier to follow, but if You haven´t I will also show You how it´s done.
Materials
Any weight 4 yarn will do. I used 2 diffent skeins in a size 2 (rainbow + dark yellow)

Maybe there is, but then You have to do the hat in complete rounds. I do it in a spiral, so I dont think there is a better way to do the transission.

Yes, it is possible. I would measure the top of his Head and do the top of the hat in that size. Maybe use one of his other hats to measure on?

You just measure the head You want to make it for :-)

When measuring should the top of the hat equal half the circumference of the head?
