Up for repair today is an Akai component stereo! Surprisingly this thing still has all of its manuals and was kept in really good condition. However, we soon uncover an STK ridden nightmare. Lets fix it!
    Components:
    Turntable AP-A201
    Tuner AT-A301
    Amplifier AM-A401
    Equalizer EA-A1

That is a T4P (P Mount) cartridge, tracking force and anti-skate are set by default as per the P Mount design. All P mount spec cartridges are the same weight, same compliance and specify the same tracking pressure. It was a panasonic design and the idea of the T4P system was a plug in cartridge that didn't require alignment or adjustment if replaced. They were used in tons of turntables thoughout the late 70s into the mid 90s, and most major manufacturers made carts to the P Mount spec including Audio-Technica (who also made a lot of OEM cartridges), Grado, Ortofon and plenty of others.
