Great message . I have been saved since I was ten years old. I knew that I was a sinner and I needed a saviour. I Believed in John 3:16 . but people like Paul Washer came in and you are right he had me so confused I didn't know if I was saved or not. I couldn't see how anyone could be saved according to Washer. I hit my knees and prayed for GOD to teach me about Grace so I could understand it with my thick head. The flood gates of Grace teachers came into my life. I know without a doubt I am Saved by Jesus Christ' Finished work on the Cross paying the price for all of my sins with his blood . Thank you for a wonderful Sermon. GOD Bless
Thank you so much for helping me to understand. I've always believed that Jesus died for my sins and the sins of the world, but i always thought that i needed to do something more to be saved. It's taken me until 2024 to understand and believe on Jesus Christ that I'm saved without doing anything but believe. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me!!
I’m glad Pastor Jesse brought up the Koine Greek people. To me, the ones who are educated in that language all of the sudden become the end all be all. I’m no longer just reading the word of God for myself but I’m thinking “oh I’d better ask so and so what this means in the original!” So now that man is my final authority and not Gods word that I can read for myself. I’m not against using the original Greek of course there is certainly a place for it but something goes terribly wrong when the gospel we have in Gods word becomes something different when we “go to the original Greek”.
Yeah, we know some very skilled Greek scholars that do an excellent job. They are humble men. The problem comes in when pride and knowledge puffs up the person. It is completely possible to understand the gospel as written in the KJV. Knowing the Greek actually bolsters the English, but doctrines of men (TULIP) force men to change definitions. - Trent
@pfister2020 Believe is NOT to submit. That’s false. You’re cramming it into your own definition. Believing is putting your confidence in some stated or implied truth. Jesus died for my sin; I believe it. I’m saved regardless of the amount of “submission.” - Trent
@@BibleLineWhat is the difference between the "belief" you are talking about ( faith without submission) and the "belief" described in James 2:19? Looks similar.
I heard one preacher say he thought a person should be mature in the faith and have no sin in their life within two years of being saved. Imagine if we held that standard to a two year old.
I love how the Bible speaks of people rejoicing when they believe and are saved! Some people (i.e. Calvinists) always teach you will be broken and contrite and sorrowful and crying and sobbing and who knows what else. Where is that in scripture?
Good point! When I believed, it was really no emotion in that particular moment. Nonetheless, later I realized the gravity of that decision and what Christ did for me when I thought about hell. That made me weep tears of joy realizing I do not have to go to hell. - Trent
The only heresy in the free grace community is the crossless gospel. You, Dr. 25:06 Arnold Edwardpf123 and I are the few I know that uphold biblical free grace theology. Who else do you know that does???
Yep like Paul says in Galatians 1:6-12 KJB.... The Gospel of 1 Cor 15:1-4 is of the Revelation of Jesus Christ Himself... Those that believe it are Justified and have Christ imputed Righteousness Rom 3:25-26... Romans 4:22-25...

@gregorylatta8159 Yes. This idea came up recently in conversation. The men at GES would probably not remove the cross in their day to day witnessing. It’s just ridiculous. The crossless gospel seems to be something simply written in theological works or discussed in theological circles. In reality, avoiding the cross is difficult and pointless considering adding it to a gospel presentation is literally a few seconds of time. The lost man does need to know enough of who this “Jesus” is and what He did for them. Why even avoid it!? - Trent
@BibleLine I agree, but they think all you have to know is that Jesus is the Christ and the son of God. The rest is not nessasary unto salvation. That is what we disagree with.
So 1 John 5:11 is the object of saving faith? When we believe 1 John 5:11 "That God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son" then we receive eternal life (at the moment we believe 1 John 5:11)?
It amazes me that Calvinists say you're not saved by an intellectual belief, but they speak against emotions also. So, the only assurance they have is their works. You can't trust your intellect or your emotions, so assurance comes by their works. God has given all men sufficient evidence of the truth.... creation and conscience. Calvinists basically teach that nobody has a conscience to acknowledge the truth. The Bible is pretty clear that everyone has been given sufficient evidence but they CHOOSE to suppress the truth.
Correct me If i am wrong, please, for I just recently started watching your videos. How do you handle James 2: 14-26? It is my understanding that these verses in this chapter that describe "works" would be better phrased as "actions"? For our actions are outward manifestations of our inward belief? Not "works" that would merit favor in repayment, but works that would physically denote the inward faith that we have in Christ. And wouldn't this help go in line with Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."? Generally curious about your insight on this, thank you.

Yes, but faith is what saved the Eunuch. Water Baptism is a picture of the spiritual baptism that takes place when you believe in Christ. When you are water baptized, you are identifying with Christ. It is picturesque in that you go down (death, burial) and raise out (resurrection). The water doesn’t save you. Your faith in Christ saved you. - Trent

@@pfister2020 Thanks for this verse. The last part "....and be careful to OBEY my rules" is the key. It doesn't look like easy believism.

Yikes! That is insane. Exactly, the gospel is so simple a young child can understand it. We should not add unnecessary yokes on people.
