Ever since my grandma passed a few years ago, Christmas hasn't been the same. It's hard to do the same thing your whole life and then try to take on the traditions but it's not the same because people are missing. 💔

We have a blizzard in buffalo, ny. My mom lives seven houses down the street, the kids stayed with her this whole time so she wouldn't be alone. I stayed home with my husband and baby. Well early this morning santa walked over there with the kids presents, and climbed through shoulder height snow drifts just to keep the Christmas magic going.

My mother and brother are states away and I'm unable to see them right now, so it's nice having something happy for this holiday even when it's a little lonely. I appreciate the work and effort you've put into not only this vlog but every single one. It's been a true joy :)
Their excitement when going through their stockings? Unmatched! Infectious! I agree with them; having this separate from the day regular presents are opened is best because of the very reason that's displayed in this vlog. They would probably be way less excited if they were also opening the bigger items as well right now. But now they have the time to appreciate the smaller gifts, and they love them.

I love your guys idea on opening stockings on Xmas eve! I've never thought about it like that but it's totally true, I think the kiddos would appreciate the Stocking more the day prior or be more excited I should say! We normally open a small gift the night prior but I'm totally doing this next yr!
