Both of them had such an aesthetically pleasing game paired with great athleticism in their prime. A joy to watch! 2008 was such a strong year in both the men’s and women’s game!

As a part-time tennis fan ( I used to be a Rafa fan) 2008 was the year I started really seriously following tennis so it was a great year for me indeed especially because it was the year that Rafa won against Roger on Wimbledon and the Olympic medal as well.

Jankovic hitting ball beautifully in 2008 before she bulked up for more power.... which imo she didn't need to. Her shots were more aggressive playing this style, a bit flatter. More power and more spin in 2009, slowed her footspeed and shot precision. Was never really the same afterwards. Super match as always with these two. KUZ great too.
