  • In this course, we will provide a comprehensive introduction to the captivating realm of wearable electronics. This course combines material physics, chemistry, and engineering, based on which we can create wearable electronics that are reshaping the future of renewable energy, healthcare, and soft robotics. You will learn:
    - Recent development of wearable electronics and their impact on our daily life
    - Physical and chemical properties of advanced materials used in wearable electronics, including quantum dots, hybrid organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite, and conjugated polymers
    - How these materials drive the forefront of technological advancements in solar energy harvesting, display, biomonitoring, and beyond
Engineering 100 is the start of a University of Michigan engineer's journey. Students take part in a real-world project that utilizes the fundamentals of their section's topic. From microprocessors to rockets to food, there are several mediums for students to pick from; all cover the same fundamentals (employ the engineer design process, communicate effectively as an engineer, collaborate in diverse teams, understand and practice professional engineering values).

My granddaughter will be a senior this fall studying chemical engineering at UMich College of Engineering. Chem-e is one ofthe most demanding enginnering disciplines requiring excellence in mathematics, physics and chemistry, all of which are demanding in their own rights. Go Blue.
