Any one that thinks a 150 year old vampire could look and act like a modern day teenage brat is shallow af. That's why Stefan had to have alot of maturity in his character and his expression should expose that, which it did.
No actor in TVD looked like teenagers. And why should they? It's a long standing glamourous tv show that needed sex objectifying and violence to make it so capturing. No bratty teenager is that good.

Paul is very good with the eye contact. Always has been. In the times I have met him he has always been attentive to questions and making eye contact with everybody in the room. If you ask a question, he listens carefully then he gives you an answer but includes everybody by looking at everybody in the room.

To be fair it’s pretty tough to do that, I find it hard to concentrate on what I’m saying if I’m making a conscious effort to look into different peoples’ eyes. It can come off as a confidence issue but I straight up struggle often with keeping a train of thought sometimes
