Happy Place Explorers great video. I had the pleasure of meeting Josh when he was at Disneyland and my friends and I ride the falcon with him on day 1 of GE opening.
I heard everyone who did the preview, had to sign a paper saying it was the greatest ride ever.
I did not attend the preview. But tell me where that paper is because I will sign it!

Disney outdid themselves with Rise of the Resistance i honestly can't believe how far technology & special effects have come.
I love that the First Order officer is just staring menacingly at the camera at 10:30
The Cast Members are classically trained actors of theater OR.... they are actual representatives of the First Order. I cannot give you a definitive conclusion.
This is an example of why Disney is still the leader of the theme park industry.

This is by far the best thing to come out of the sequel trilogy. I was lucky enough to ride this twice when I was at Disneyland last week and it still stands as my favorite ride ever made.
This ride is the closest I think you can currently get to being put directly inside a Star Wars movie. It was fantastic and I can't believe I was able to ride it, in January, so soon after it opened. Even if you're just a casual Star Wars fan I still say ride this as soon as you can.

Same, man. I haven't been back at Disneyland since my birthday back in February so I haven't checked out Galaxy's Edge at all yet since it opened. I hope Rise Of The Resistance opens up on schedule next month in the Anaheim location. Planning on going back in February for my birthday.

I'm watching videos on everyone who rode this ride. Hubby and I were boarding group 63 on day one and were able to ride around 2pm. Immersion is the best word to sum up this experience hands down. Like you, we wanted to go right back on and ride this attraction again. I can't emphasize how fun it is from start to finish. We were lucky in that it was literally us two and a family of 5 in our group. Hubby and I got our own trackless car and that was super awesome. Day one I think they were getting out some of the kinks. We had a 20-minute pause between where Rey briefs you and before you go into the simulator that "beams you up." The crew members on the interrogation side of things were spot on and I just remember when we left that ride our chins hit the floor. I feel so lucky that we accidentally planned our trip on the day it came out (we're not from Orlando and had this vacation booked almost a year). I would highly recommend this to anyone, Star Wars fan or not. Hubby and I are huge fans of the franchise, so literally, we were shaking, teary-eyed and everything after this.
16:16..Holy Cow! You got to meet Josh D’Amaro! Got to talk to him for a minute last year outside of Incredicoaster back when he ran Disneyland and he’s a really cool guy! You guys are VERY lucky having him run your parks

I've watched around 50 ride videos for Rise of the Resistance and this is one of my favorites. I've seen that same First Order officer that got in your face in other videos and that dude is really good in his performances.

The rise is VERY BIG. Baby Yoda is VERY SMALL. Who knows... he very well could have been in there.
Galaxy's Edge feels a but more complete now. Still needs some outdoor shows and more of an immersive feel. The sets can only do so much.
Yes, Galaxy's Edge is 'complete' in a very immediate sense. Much like Disneyland, World, etc., there will always be room for growth, expansion, and change. I can't wait to see what it is!
When you actually started ‘waiting’ in a line, how long did it take to get to BB-8???

This ride is one of the most complex & advanced rides Disney has ever created!
With that being said, it will break down quite a few times throughout each day for a while. So please do not get mad at any cast members, whether they work on the ride or not. They will accommodate you as best as they can and they will make sure you get a chance to ride this ride! It’s all about patience and understanding. As somebody who was ridden this ride a few times already with this ride having broke down a couple times, as frustrating as it may be, it is worth it entirely when you finally get to experience the whole ride!
I agree... though I will say I have yet to encounter any Cast Members while in Galaxy's Edge, only residents of Batuu, heroes of the Resistance, and First Order ruffians. Still though, they are wildly helpful. If I see a CM, I will be patient and understanding as well.
Okay the fact they set a night mode for the simulator part. You can tell that this is all a make up for removing the The Backlot Tour the sequences the effects the decorations the acting!.

Couldn’t get on either day this week. Fills up in less than 5 seconds. It’s kind of a crapshoot to get in virtual que. 😐

I won't be there to ride it until late next year but I'm curious if they will continue to use the boarding passes. From video it seems like the queue line is relatively short which makes me think the boarding pass system is permanent. What was your impression after being there?
I think a lot of people are very excited about this attraction right now. It's been hyped up for several years and its finally here! I'm sure once its around for a little while, it'll slow down and switch over to a typical Fastpass model. I would safely assume by the time Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway debuts.
But right now, the Virtual Queue takes the 3-6 hour or longer wait that was basically certain and keeps people spread out throughout the park and minimizes the chances that guests are wasting their time in line. This also makes the wait time once you are in line a breeze. We go straight inside the building in this video, but a majority of the queue appears to be outside.

Not more than 15 minutes.
I would prefer they use the boarding pass system instead of fast pass. Fast pass just makes the regular queue twice as long.
I plan on going the 28th of December. How early do you think one should arrive to get a boarding pass? It would suck to show up and they run out.
I hope things will have calmed down a little by then. but historically that is the busiest week of the year for Disney World, so I would definitely keep that in mind. I would imagine similar crowds as this week for that week, if not busier. Get there early for sure.
Happy Place Explorers about how early would you say in terms of arriving at the park?
@@janrodriguez3214 as of today (Dec 15) the boarding passes are gone by 8am.
If possible, i would get there by 6am. When I went last Wednesday, they started letting people in the park at 6:30am even though it didn't "officially" open til 8.
I don't think that will change until after the new year.
The ride is awesome!! Video really doesn't do it justice...
Almost forgot, how was Rock N Roller Coaster with Aerosmith?
It was so early, we all actually made it to the concert on time.

You need to join a Boarding Group after being scanned into the park, via the MyDisneyExperience app.

It’s just to bad it’s theme is the new Star Wars instead of the old. I think that simple change would have made this the best ride in the whole world.

According to Walt Disney, "Disneyland will never be completed" so there is no such "greatest ever" in this theme park. right?
I think there can ALWAYS be a "greatest ever", but in Disney Parks, there has ALWAYS been a mindset of "how can we top ourselves?"
yah, that's the reason why I love Disney so much! They are always the king of theme park and entire entertainment on the planet. They never give up on growing in terms of technology and entertain people.I am thinking to join their Vacation Club very soon^^
Best ride in disney world? .....No.
I think the animatronics looked dated. The 2D video screens for the enemies and windows was overused and seemed kind of cheep but creative. Over all I give it a B-.
My favorite part are the free rolling pods you ride in easily the best innovation.
Those animatronics do NOT look dated...the animatronics in the "hagrid" ride....now THAT'S what u call dated.

But my face is equally as beautiful as the ride! ESPECIALLY when I was on Rise of the Resistance! There was a special glow about all of me that I definitely did not want to deprive you of.
@@HappyPlaceExplorers That didn't bother me, lots of other videos concentrate on the ride and they get a bit repetitive. However your autofocus could do to be improved I thought. The review as a whole I thought pretty good and the ride? They've hit the nail on the head here. Certainly got that wow factor. Tron will judging from Shanghai have that wow factor too.
Sorry, but the ride looks quite pitiful to me.
If you go by the original concept video, you'll notice things were cut and changed. This is a complex ride and it's going to break down, that's just a fact.
