Its genius that their concept is Vampire. They are immortals. So they can go through every era looking the same.And they can jump from one era to another without losing their identity are vampies whether its their music or visuals. So im excited what era are they jumping through next time. And being a teenager in Y2K..this MV very nostalgic...I love it!

The first album’s title track, “Tamed-Dashed,” expressed the dilemma that the members faced in whether to conform to society’s expectations or “dash” to find their own way. But Dimension: Answer is the next step. According to Jake, this new album shows that the group has already decided to find their own answers regardless of what society says.
❝ The album voices our will to refuse the answers set by the world and to find our own answers. We cannot be sure about what the right answer is, but still we will not follow what’s given by society, and find our own.❞
The new title track, “Blessed-Cursed,” expresses how the members feel that society’s rules and expectations make them cursed rather than blessed, and it is this concept that gives the song its darker, more powerful tone-and what makes the song the embodiment of ENHYPEN, according to Jay. The song is about the members’ intent to find their own way and their own answers with confidence now that they are no longer in the “dilemma” stage, which Jay says best represents the group and their style of performance.
❝ I think this song is what best embodies ENHYPEN. If we showed a different, fresh side of us in the previous album, this time it’s all about ‘being ENHYPEN’ and ‘performances only ENHYPEN can do.’❞
Sunoo echoed those feelings, saying that he also feels that “Blessed-Cursed” is about the members pursuing their own paths in life.
According to a press release by BELIFT LAB, “Blessed-Cursed” expresses the contrasting emotions of growing up. “Accepting what was given to the boys and being tamed by the rules of society seemed like a blessing, but now that they‘ve realized the truths of the world, this all rather feels like a curse,” the agency explained in a statement. “The track is the band’s declaration to the world - ‘I’ll go my own way.❞
This message is evident throughout the group’s lyrics in “Blessed-Cursed.” During the song, ENHYPEN discusses going against society’s expectations of them. “Boundaries holding me in/ To hell with your rules,” they sing at the start of the track. They also talk about going on their own journey to figure out who they really are. “I walk like a lion. I'm making my own history. I don't know answers. I just go my own way,” the group continues in the chorus.
The music video for “Blessed-Cursed” adds to the meaning behind the song by featuring powerful choreography they’ve coined, like the “prayer dance,” “lion dance,” and “fight dance.”

I read on the weverse magazine that the lyrics seems to hint the "burden felt by the group, who belong to a major label and who were formed out of a large-scale audition TV show, as well as what they're currently trying to overcome. The tragic beauty resonates in such phrases like "this fake blessing", "a victory inherited", and "cursed like a war medal" seems like a weight they were destined to shoulder.
These boys worked so hard and people just like to discredit those hard work just because on where they came from (I-land) and the label they belong to. I'm happy for my boys and really proud of everything they achieved rn, but just knowing that they feel like this in a way, hurts a bit.
It’s been a thing even to artists from the big 3 tho. Talents being discredited due to the “name” behind them. It’s a sad reality to some artists
I agree with what a few others have said. I love this MV because it does bring the storyline full circle. Given-Taken is the beginning of the lie and how they are tricked/ seduced into becoming vampires. They know something is off but by "Fever" and Drunk-Dazed they are enthralled by the power and promise of getting everything they want.
"Tamed-Dashed" shows they are tired of their life and want another chance to just be kids again and get back their chance to be innocent ( perhaps another lie). They have moved through time and dimensions following or reacting to another power. They have tried everything. So now each is at this point “Blessed-Cursed”. Their innocence is gone, They can’t go back, They can’t run away, They can’t accept what they have become. They were promised “Everything” but that was a lie because “Everything” comes with a price and that price is too high. So this is their answer. The "Answer" is to choose not being lied to, controlled by others. The Answer is to “Walk Like a Lion” bravely going their own way, making their own path. They may make mistakes but the mistakes will be of their own choosing. In making the choice to listen to their own hearts/ beliefs the story is set to go in new directions where the choices and adventions are of their own making. That’s how I see it. My babies have grown up. Right or wrong, the choice is now theirs to make. It’s a heavy storyline but I love it because on a deeper level it’s about growing up and taking charge.
It's like classic late 90s- early 2000's music videos. With the fish eye lens. It's giving Missy Elliott, P Diddy, Nsync vibes. Coming from someone that grew up during that time, they nailed it.

I've been watching the vid over and over for theories since yesterday! There's another one. It's in the lyrics of Heeseung's part. He says "Luxury draped on my body, binding me like a blue pill". If you recall the Matrix, blue pill vs red pill? If you choose blue, you remain in the made-up world. If you choose red, you'll discover the harsh reality. Seems like that's why they have a play on the colors blue and red in the MV. They start dancing in blue outfits, but at the end of the MV they're wearing red already. And the room with the "robot" looks like the Matrix server, which they blew up in the end because they chose red, the truth. That's why they're going their own way to discover the answers for themselves!
And if you remember Let Me In, there's also a play on blue and red colors in that video! Sunoo holding up that glass with blue liquid? And the red light that keeps "calling" on them. They're in blue in the Let Me In MV covered in plastics and trapped in the cube -- they are in a manufactured, made-up reality. I'm quite mind-blown typing all this right now but so excited to share this and see what you think. Soooo happy you finally reacted and shared your theories!!!

I think there is a whole reference to The Matrix too, also released in 1999, because Heeseung raps "blinding me like a blue pill". And in The Matrix, there is this dilemma between the red pill and the blue pill, and taking the blue pill is like being ignorant. Furthermore, the whole aesthetics of the MV is in red and blue, like the pills.

I feel like your theory is the most accurate one yet, specifically the Fight Club reference. I feel like Enhypen’s trying to reset their image given that they come from a company who has produced the most successful boy group in the world, they want to erase the image portrayed by people that they can only be successful because they come from a successful company. They’re trying to overcome the pressure that comes with that image, by following their own rules and going their own way. They’re very clear about how they want and how they keep working hard to make a name for themselves, without being compared and associated with others. This song goes beyond the visuals, the choreo and concept itself, it’s definitely their most controversial one yet!! 🤍 Hope more people appreciate their identity and growth

I think the blessed-cursed thing is that they’re told they’re living in a blessing, or that’s what they believe, but then they realized it’s a fake blessing (or a curse), but they insist that although they may be living in a curse, and that that’s the unshakable reality of their world, they’ll still make their own way even in that cursed world.

This is what I think the story is in the MV and the album
In "dimension:dilemma", the boys found out that the world they faced after their debut was more complicated than they thought, The boys then fell into a dilemma in many desires and ran out to find the answer. This is the story in dimension: dilemma
Now in dimension: answer, The boys, who kept running like that, began to worry abt "how to live". Eventually, the boys realize that the world is wrong and the story is drawn afterwards.
In the title song, "blessed-cursed", At first, the boys thought that the things they were given and things that they r trying to tame r blessings, But then the boys realize that what they received is rather a curse. But they said that they'll live regardless of whether it's a blessing, curse or a lie. It's a song abt the boys shouting, "Don't interfere".
Just as the boys in the song r determined to take care of their lives, Enhypen also works hard to prove thier value. This is the message they r trying to say in blessed-cursed.

I loved this so much, it just screamed 2000s. The song itself, the choreo, the styling, the Y2K energy, the fish eye lens use, the whole vibe was just so good. I swear Sunghoons silver room was part of TLCs No Scrubs MV set. I was 11 at the millennium, but I love that they totally embodied this even though the oldest member was born in 2001. 😂 The explosion thing I was a little confused by, but it made me think of the pure panic people had thinking the world was gonna end NYE 99/00, and nothing says apocalypse like a nice explosion.😅

I think the robot is them (remember they look like robots on Let me in) then they exploded it when sunoo sang the "no pain, no pain" part. It looks like they saying that they're not robots so don't tell them what to do cuz they have their own decisions.
