It looks like a beautiful well kept community with a lot to offer but since it is in Los Angeles County, it is too damned expensive. Beach towns are wonderful places to visit and spend some time in but I couldn’t live in them. I have to have diversity in seasons, architecture and cityscapes, plant life, and people. Hermosa Beach looks like just another wealthy lily white beach town where everything costs an arm and a leg.
One thing worth mentioning around parking - all residents can apply for a parking permit that lets you park for free at meters in residential areas and not be subjected to the meter time limits.
My husband grew up in HB. 21st St and Valley. His dad built the home. Huge lot. His cousins still live next door. The home was built in the 1950s. My church, Hope Chapel, is in HB

It definitely is expensive, and like you mentioned all of Southern California is getting that way because there just isn’t much housing inventory.

I love that area, it’s so close to the woodchips and that street doesn’t cut through to the beach so it probably doesn’t get much traffic
We recently visited Hermosa Beach for the first time ever for the St. Patrick’s Day parade and loved it!
Oh wow that’s awesome I didn’t even realize they have a st Patrick’s day parade. Even when I lived in Hermosa I never saw it. Was it on the pier?
