Northstar Tahoe Zephyr Express

The Tahoe Zephyr Express was the second chondola built in the United States when it was constructed in 2006 by Doppelmayr CTEC, and i travels from mid-mountain to the top of the Northwest Territory and the Zephyr Lodge. It features Doppelmayr UNI-G terminals and European towerheads with Agamatic grips, EJ six pack carriers and CWA Omega III 8 passenger gondola cabins. The system has a capacity of 2,400 people per hour with a vertical rise of 1,064 feet and a total inclined length of 5,106 feet. Most of the terrain served is low level intermediate groomers, while it also provides access to Martis Camp and the Backside. The Tahoe Zephyr Express is also notable for the extremely high chair to cabin ratio, there are only 4 gondola cabins so it often feels as if the lift is jsut a rgular six pack when riding.
