I saw them at Lollapalooza last year. Matt was in the crowd within the first thirty seconds of the concert, and i'm pretty sure it's safe to say he was in the crowd more then on the stage. Possibly the best part of the concert was during "Shake Me Down". As soon as he sang 'Even on a cloudy day, I'll keep my eyes fixed on the sun' it started storming. It was pathetic fallacy at it's best.
I thought I would never love anything like I love Smashing Pumpkins. But thank you Cage the Elephants, for being another world of music i adore :) I don't feel like they're trying to copy, even though it's solid alternative. I don't know. It's just different, even though it seems the same... anyways, beautiful stuff
Actually, this is the original version of the song. When they wrote it, it was originally just acoustic with the ambient vibe you get here. Once they got around to making the album, they built it into a full song, which is the one you hear on "Thank You, Happy Birthday"
Saw these guys live in Boulder, CO. Completely amazing, didn't know there was a non acoustic version of this song until I looked it up, it was just Matt, playing his acoustic guitar and singing. They are opening for the Foo Fighters in Denver, CO on October 9th, I might just go to see Cage, I don't like FF much...

@aNOOBIEstopsign I saw them in Cinicinnati on 3/31/11 and in columbus 5/18/11, both shows were so amazing and i got to meet matt and brad and daniel, really cool guys, and yes matt is fuckin crazy, but they still play rubber ball and flow so that was their slower songs for their set, CTE FOREVER!! :)
