I have avalon 2015 and i hear the same knocking sound from my steering wheel while driving over humps or on a bumpy road ... the sound comes from the dashboard under speedometer ... i want to ask if this guy had the same noise coming from the same area as mine

Replaced it with Toyota shaft on a 2012 camry and still have the noise
