Andrew making it complicated then it ending up the same order is kinda on brand with the show. I thought it was a great one. Even better than the mall draft.
Gavin: 1.) Die Hard 10.) Jingle All the Way 11.) The Snowman 20.) Angels with Even Filthier Souls Andrew: 2.) Christmas Vacation 9.) Home Alone 2: Lost In New York 12.) A Christmas Story 19.) Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas Eric: 3.) Love Actually 8.) A Charlie Brown Christmas 13.) Lethal Weapon 18.) How the Grinch Stole Christmas! 22.) Nick: 4.) Home Alone 7.) The Muppet Christmas Carol 14.) Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 17.) Elf Geoff: 5.) Time for YOU to come home for Christmas 6.) Time for US to come home for Christmas 15.) Time for THEM to come home for Christmas 16.) Time for HIM to come home for Christmas Honorable Mentions Four Christmases Christmas with the Kranks The Long Kiss Goodnight Iron Man 3 The Nightmare Before Christmas It's a Wonderful Life Gremlins Scrooged Frosty the Snowman The Polar Express Arthur Christmas Bad Santa Jack Frost Unhonorable Mentions The Santa Clauses The Holiday The Night Before Office Christmas Party
The fact that in a Christmas movie draft, with 20 choices, that there wasn't a single stop motion movie like Rudolph or Year without a Santa clause is insane to me
What I think is really nice about Emmet Otter is that the Nightmare sings a song about how bad they are, and they win the song contest. The people of the sleepy little town thought it was really cool.
God, I hope Geoff has a Chrismas blindside planned where he makes the guys watch one of these Hallmark movies. I 100% back Gavin on The Holiday as well, what a boring waste of 2 hours of my life Also: Gremlins Jingle All The Way Miracle on 34th Street (remake) Muppet's Christmas Carol Edward Scissorhands
My local supermarket has its Christmas playlist on now and one of the songs on it, unironically, is the Christmas Is All Around Me horrible Bill Nighy desperate parody song from Love Actually.
I didn't appreciate Geoffs bit at first. It grew on me though when I figured out the real point of it. I thought he was just picking hallmark movies as a meme, but then it clicked when they read all the names off next to each other. It also made a lot more sense as to how Gavin could have guessed the name right.
#1 for me, Eight Crazy Nights, which is a half Hanukkah half Christmas movie. But I also want people to consider adding Wacko’s Wish to their Christmas movie list, if you like Animaniacs
Gremlins. Another movie that takes place during christmas, but isn't the full focus. Also, Nightmare before Christmas is half a Halloween movie and half a Christmas movie
F**kface break show, podcast, bean hole, regulation gameplay and now this? This week was amazing they are really spoiling us with content and I love it. And btw best christmas movies are Grinch with Jim Carrey and animated movie Klaus (2019).
A) that thumbnail alone gets a like from me. B) I just finished rewatching the other drafts Thursday, this is really fun timing! Add others are saying, a blindside in the best way.
I play Cornet in a Traditional British Brass Band in Orlando, FL. For Our Christmas concert this year, we had 'The Snowman' playing on screens while we played the score live. Even had a little boy come out and sing 'Flying Through the Air.' Cute little animation, but SUPER depressing ending. Like WTF England.
this feels like a send-off for the death of the planned-programming TV era, which has been replaced with on-demand entertainment like UA-cam, Netflix and Videogames.
My draft: 1. It’s a wonderful life (nostalgia) 2. Lord of the Rings: Two Towers (for some reason it’s always on during Christmas) 3. Star Wars Empire Strikes Back (it has snow) 4. Any Rankin-Bass claymation
12 minutes in and all i'm thinking is what in gods name obscure canadian christmas movies has Andrew put at the top of his draft board? Do they involve skateboards? DO they involve apes? I have no idea but i'm almost excited to find out
I have never agreed more with Andrew then with Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas and the blooper real. My whole family was in tears laughing at the bloopers when we discovered them. Such a wholesome movie
I like the live action Jim Kerry Grinch mostly I like the character they gave Cindy and Jim Kerry was just having fun. But The old cartoon is the definitive classic version. Can't beleive no frosty or claymation rudolph though. Eric with Grinch and Nick with Muppets had the best lists if you ask me. Gavin had a real dark horse last pick though. Though thinking bout it Eric cuz he also had charlie brown. Least in my book.
I'm slightly disappointed that they can't put the posters when they said the movies like they did in the past or at least couple of the ones in the past
Every time one of these randomly shows up, it makes me very happy. My choices: 1 Bad Santa 2 Scrooged 3 Gremlins 4 L.A. Confidential 5 Batman Returns 6 The Santa Clause
Andrew immediately making the draft order a nightmare is so on-brand and I adore it
Them going down the order and just picking the place they got anyways was so funny
I dont. Sometimes just get to it
Andrew making it complicated then it ending up the same order is kinda on brand with the show. I thought it was a great one. Even better than the mall draft.
This was essentially a blindside to the audience, in the best way. Had no clue this was coming!
Imagine that they change the blindside rules to include surprise drafts
They told us all December there will be supplemental episodes, so not really a blindside.
The subtlety with which Gooch Pooch threw in "crack rock" while listening to Andrew attempt to justify his lunacy really got me.
Same
Andrew over complicating things only for it to instantly backfire, I’m so incredibly shocked this happened yet again
Not even a mention of "Ernest Saves Christmas". The scene of Ernest flying the sleigh is still one of my favorite movie moments.
A lot of great picks, but Nick's draft is absolutely cracked.
Wtf, Gavin?? The Santa Clause is great!
Gavin: 1.) Die Hard 10.) Jingle All the Way 11.) The Snowman 20.) Angels with Even Filthier Souls
Andrew: 2.) Christmas Vacation 9.) Home Alone 2: Lost In New York 12.) A Christmas Story
19.) Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas
Eric: 3.) Love Actually 8.) A Charlie Brown Christmas 13.) Lethal Weapon 18.) How the Grinch Stole Christmas! 22.)
Nick: 4.) Home Alone 7.) The Muppet Christmas Carol 14.) Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 17.) Elf
Geoff: 5.) Time for YOU to come home for Christmas 6.) Time for US to come home for Christmas
15.) Time for THEM to come home for Christmas 16.) Time for HIM to come home for Christmas
Honorable Mentions
Four Christmases
Christmas with the Kranks
The Long Kiss Goodnight
Iron Man 3
The Nightmare Before Christmas
It's a Wonderful Life
Gremlins
Scrooged
Frosty the Snowman
The Polar Express
Arthur Christmas
Bad Santa
Jack Frost
Unhonorable Mentions
The Santa Clauses
The Holiday
The Night Before
Office Christmas Party
Can't wait until they have enough drafts to do a Draft Draft thats gonna be awesome
The draft order selection is like if in the hunger games, katniss already gets picked first and still goes "I volunteer!"
I'm no Hunger Games nerd but doesn't her younger sister get picked and that's why she volunteers? Or am I crazy
@@condsy The joke ----------------------------->
condsy's head
@@remusdovincescu7523 I misread the comment lol I'm with ya now
Full credit to Eric for having enough balls to pick Love actually.
The Santa Clause going undrafted is insane
Geoff’s fckn giggle at the end killed me😂😂
Geoffs synopsis of his 4th pick sounds exactly like "A long kiss goodnight"
which is another great xmas film
The fact that in a Christmas movie draft, with 20 choices, that there wasn't a single stop motion movie like Rudolph or Year without a Santa clause is insane to me
I was thinking the same thing. You gotta at least have one of them!
Shoutout to Gavin for throwing in The Snowman. One of my all time favorites as a kid! And I'm American and know about it!
The Hallmark Christmas movies list is the clear winner
Can't wait for Andrew to show up to the next Draft with a breakdown of how many times each Placement won and attempting to get the worst spot again
How is Andrew the most insane person 2 minutes in?
That's every episode
It’s literally his default setting.
All I know is if "It's a wonderful life" and "Muppets Christmas Carrol" aren't in this list, it's essentially invalid.
So half-invalid?
Emmett Otter's Jug-Band Christmas! Yes! Thank you Andrew!
Thank you Andrew! Emmet Otter FTW. This was the definitive Christmas movie for me growing up in the 80's.
Same for me growing up in the 00's. So wholesome and relaxing and has nice music
Oh my god!!!! Thank you for this early Christmas gift this is awesome
Again, Gavins picks are 10/10, the snowman is truly iconic
I relate to Andrew's Christmas vacation story so hard, I did the EXACT same thing
Just want to add Last Holiday and Christmas with the Cranks to the list. Thanks for all the content!
BAD SANTA?!
I'm disappointed in the lack of Tim Alan Santa Claus films and no mention of Christmas with the Cranks
Not having the year without a Santa clause made me sad. My number one every year
My sister and I have watched the Santa Clause trilogy every Christmas Eve for I think a decade now, they're excellent.
Andrew is 100% correct. There are better positions to be in. 1 and 5 pick back to back.
"Trading Places" is an absolute masterpiece that they all forgot existed.
I'm only halfway through and Gavin already wins with Die Hard and The Snowman.
First draft pick coming 13mins into an episode is wild
Gavin with the last worst take of the year by saying Santa Clause is a bad movie. For shame Gavin, for shame.
For those who are curious, the draft starts at 8:46 😂
The movie draft, or the position draft tho
What I think is really nice about Emmet Otter is that the Nightmare sings a song about how bad they are, and they win the song contest. The people of the sleepy little town thought it was really cool.
My pics would have been Gremlins. A Nightmare before christmas, bad santa, and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
Every time I watch one of these I only think poor Eric
God, I hope Geoff has a Chrismas blindside planned where he makes the guys watch one of these Hallmark movies. I 100% back Gavin on The Holiday as well, what a boring waste of 2 hours of my life
Also:
Gremlins
Jingle All The Way
Miracle on 34th Street (remake)
Muppet's Christmas Carol
Edward Scissorhands
I'm not even at the draft part and I'm crying laughing.
If this podcast gets any better it would make the podcast worse, never change boys.
12 minutes in and they've made 1 pick. This is awesome lol
My local supermarket has its Christmas playlist on now and one of the songs on it, unironically, is the Christmas Is All Around Me horrible Bill Nighy desperate parody song from Love Actually.
Wow i lived in England in the early 90s and I completely forgot about The Snowman.
I didn't appreciate Geoffs bit at first. It grew on me though when I figured out the real point of it. I thought he was just picking hallmark movies as a meme, but then it clicked when they read all the names off next to each other. It also made a lot more sense as to how Gavin could have guessed the name right.
Andrew's little wrench in the chaos immediately just being backfired is just proof F**kface is a gift that keeps on giving 😂😂😂
#1 for me, Eight Crazy Nights, which is a half Hanukkah half Christmas movie.
But I also want people to consider adding Wacko’s Wish to their Christmas movie list, if you like Animaniacs
Andrew Panton mentioning Emmit Otter's Jug Band Christmas gives me life.
That movie was a staple in my household growing up.
For Geoff's last pick I could've sworn he was about to mention the Geena Davis cult classic 'The Long Kiss Goodnight' and was sorely disappointed.
If nobody picked gremlins Ill be livid
Edit: I'm livid
"I appreciate that you think we all have a board" meanwhile Geoff looking at a list on the hallmark site...
Ave a good one, happy holidays to you all
I play Cornet in a Traditional British Brass Band in Orlando, FL.
For Our Christmas concert this year, we had 'The Snowman' playing on screens while we played the score live. Even had a little boy come out and sing 'Flying Through the Air.'
Cute little animation, but SUPER depressing ending. Like WTF England.
The back to back Shane Black picks????? I'm so hyped. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is my favorite movie.
These drafts rule
If the stop motion Rudolph isn't in this i swear to God
Eric liking Love Actually as one of his favorite movies of all time tracks.
this feels like a send-off for the death of the planned-programming TV era, which has been replaced with on-demand entertainment like UA-cam, Netflix and Videogames.
"No its way too much" and its just 2 options on a webpage with one being an export format.
Hilarious draft, possibly one of the best! I was hoping for Santa Claus: The Movie, it was my favourite Christmas movie when I was a kid.
I'm incredibly disappointed that nobody picked the classic Rankin Bass stop motion "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer"
One of the greatest films ever.
So excited for this ❤
Gavin’s slander of The Santa Clause makes me rethink my life choices
Tim Allen is a garbage human, and that franchise having two sequels and now a show is an utter mistake.
Not a single Rankin/Bass film. For shame. Year without a Santa Claus? Rudolph's shiny new year? Santa Claus is coming to town???
My draft:
1. It’s a wonderful life (nostalgia)
2. Lord of the Rings: Two Towers (for some reason it’s always on during Christmas)
3. Star Wars Empire Strikes Back (it has snow)
4. Any Rankin-Bass claymation
i was literally thinking yesterday that its been a minute since theres been a "supplemental"
Nick is 100% the winner of this draft
I can’t believe they don’t like The Santa clause or Jim Carey’s the Grinch
There needs to be a clock in these
What an amazing draft!! So many good picks! Happy holidays ya'll ❤️❄️
Die Hard.
Elf.
Eight Crazy Nights.
The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Jug band Christmas is a classic S tier pick
The holiday catching strays, say it ain’t so….
Picks from me:
1. Muppet’s Christmas Carol
2. Elf
3. Emma (2021)
4. Paddington
5. Threads
6. I haven’t seen many Christmas movies
4.
The Santa clause is a good movie is a good movie Gavin can kick rocks
Cant believe Gremlins wasn't brought up
Is your place in a draft not only important if your trying to win. They are making a cooperative list
4 of them are. Not Andrew lol
"listen to the f**kface podcast where they struggle with sincerity"
Also.
1.home alone
2.elf
3. Santa Clause
4. How the grinch stole Christmas 1970
12 minutes in and all i'm thinking is what in gods name obscure canadian christmas movies has Andrew put at the top of his draft board? Do they involve skateboards? DO they involve apes? I have no idea but i'm almost excited to find out
awww.... now i'm disappointed
Gavin saying Sinbad threw me off so much because I went to the MOVIE Sinbad and not the person. I was so confused how Sinbad was a Christmas movie
13:06 They Kevin-Bacon-ed a member of the crew. (See: Apollo 13)
A pleasant surprise!!
Like knowing Geoff is still out there making content.
Listen to "So Alright". It's his podcast and it's great!
I have never agreed more with Andrew then with Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas and the blooper real.
My whole family was in tears laughing at the bloopers when we discovered them.
Such a wholesome movie
I love this but WHY do they generate the random list multiple times??!
My #1 is Trading Places -- just throwing it into the ether!
I’m gonna give this one to Nick
Not a single Rankin Bass movie is criminal
I honestly think Nick nailed this list close behind tho is Gavin he had some solid picks, and then Geoff doing Geoff things
*Carrey
I’m from California and idk how or when but I’ve seen the snowman.
I'm slightly disappointed that they can't put the posters when they said the movies like they did in the past or at least couple of the ones in the past
I nominate Jingle All the Way as the best Christmas movie
Every time one of these randomly shows up, it makes me very happy.
My choices:
1 Bad Santa
2 Scrooged
3 Gremlins
4 L.A. Confidential
5 Batman Returns
6 The Santa Clause
Die Hard > Christmas Vaccation Easily
