Agree! Thats my goal. Use up before i repurchase. With so m as ny new things in makeup, skincare, clothes etc its easy to continue to buy. I want to use up all my product, rediscover favorites and save some cash on the way!
I am doing a no buy year for any color Cosmetics, clothing, any makeup that I have more than one of. UA-cam has created major consumerism in my life. I appreciate these types of videos!
I am SO happy that so many of my favorite channels seem to be moving toward a “using what I already have” model. I’m seeing so many low-buys and no-buys, but also simply more videos that allow the youtuber and their viewers to slow down and appreciate and be grateful for the makeup we have, that we bought because we loved it. My birthday is in November and between that and Christmas, I brought in a lot of new makeup at the end of the year, some of which is still nearly untouched. I don’t want to keep adding to my collection and not get the chance to play with these new things. I guess this is a long way to say thank you for committing to bringing more content that deals with using what you have. I am so excited to see what you do!

We have spent out hard earned nickel and dime on products when they become irrelevant the next day due to new beauty products being pushed constantly. I would love to rediscover and fall in love with the stuff I already have and I hope that influencers will do the same as well.
I think EVERYTHING falls through the cracks these days! I am an average makeup wearer and I have more makeup than I have had in my life!! I want to get back to that four pan palette, that one fave powder, my one beloved mascara, etc etc and not purchase anything until those are gone! It is totally my fault, but I am on a no buy, until something is GONE this year. It is not my job, like yours, so I don't NEED a ton of stuff. I have pallettes ( full face pallettes) that look brand new. One is. 3 years old I have 3 that are 2 years old. I got new makeup for Christmas! Time to get rid of the older ones.

I love the direction you’re going with your channel! I don’t get PR and I have products that I haven’t touched yet. I buy, buy and buy without using what I have first. I also found the L’Oréal pink face cream and the mask. I’ve used them twice and put them away. I’m going to keep them on my vanity so I use them. I want to be more aware of what I have and actually use everything.
I always watch my lineup of beauty gurus after my 6 yr old and I read bedtime books. Tonight, after your intro, my 6 yr old daughter says, "It's Emily, mom. Your favorite makeup girl." 😁😉 Imho, I think that's the best compliment. Kids keep it honest. ❤

For your consideration: a series where you pick beauty influencer once a month and use all their makeup techniques for an entire month. Then kind of doing a debriefing at the end of the challenge-what you learned , what you like and will continue to do and what you didn't connect with. Tiffanyd, Kathleenlights, Lisaelderidge etc. I know you would own a series like this!
I’ve said it before here , The Body shop makeup has some great products and very underrated and not spoken about by any of my favourite youtubers. Very surprising given its affordable price point and that it is completely cruelty free. I particularly like their matte clay foundation , concealer and powder. I mix that foundation with their oils of life facial oil . I love their bb cream , their lipsticks and some of their brushes too!

I would definitely recommend it as a travel palette! I'm bringing it to the hospital with me when I have my baby any day now. I just need to bring my base products, brushes, brow, mascara, and a lip product. The pigment is great and the mirror is nice and big!
For sure a travel pallete. I keep in in my bathroom for my early work mornings and I wear this and a powder foundation and nothing else. Its beautiful and has everything I need.
I don't think I would have become such a fan of UA-cam if I hadn't watched your channel in the very beginning. I started watching right after you left your apartment so there were some earlier videos I could binge watch. Linda Liffers I am in the same situation. Too much makeup so I am rotating foundation, shadows, blushes etc. I use a small square basket and put what I am going to use for that week. Now let us not talk about lipsticks...this is my weakness but they do go bad. I threw out two this week along with a lip pencil. Smelled so bad. I have been on a serious “no buy” since September 2018. Saving lots of $$$.

Love your video ideas & how you execute them. You’re QUEEN of Practicality !! I’ve never been a fan of how many channels are all new reviews. I MUCH rather see new ways of using what I already gave or how to get the most benefit from whatever product. Unless there’s some new product that’s SO good & essential, I don’t care to see every eyeshadow palette that’s released. If you’re a makeup wearer & lover, you probably have your fav palettes. I’d rather see inspiration for new looks. You’re seriously the best! Can’t wait to snag one of those covergirl lips!

Love these types of videos!! If you haven’t tried it, the Elf primer infused bronzer is also SO beautiful. I’m the fairest of the fair and their lightest shade is the perfect neutral tone for me. Downside is I believe there’s only three shades, wish it came in deeper shades so everyone could try it. They adhere to the face just like the blushes do, without skipping or dragging!!
Revlon Colorstay foundation is so underrated. Also, I’m obsessed with Too Faced primed and poreless pressed powder and you’re the only person I’ve ever heard talk about it! You should shop your stash for it! It’s better than the Laura Mercier powder in my opinion because it’s perfect for touch ups, controls oil without being at all cakey, and really does reduce the look of my pores! Super underrated so I’m so glad you suggested it in the past 👍🏻
The revlon colorstay was so gorgeous but it breaks me out so bad! I wanted to love it because everything else about it was great. Also, I could see my oils trying to poke through in my nose area after 6 hours and it had those weird dark circles before the oil finally poked through. I did love the coverage and how it made my skin look the first few hours though.

No one really talks about the Kokie stuff from Walmart, but their yellow color corrector is AMAZING. Red Apple Lipstick is also really awesome. They're gluten and allergen free. They are super smooth and non drying. My sister won a giveaway and gave me her prize. I got a really pretty lippie from them that I love.

@@tellygz I have a medium to tan skin tone with a warm olive complexion and I love it. I loved the original one, and now I'm obsessed with the new lip serum formula. I actually got it on auto delivery from qvc. Qvc has on there site where you can get both formulas for a little bit more than the cost of one. They have easy pay where you split up the payments over a few months and they have returns. If you want to try both formulas I'd suggest looking into qvc before the end of January bc it's beauty month. Also it's supposed to be different for everyone but me and my sister both end up with the same color and she has a lighter cooler skin tone than me. It's a wash of bright pink. A wash. It's like your lips but brighter pinkier lovlier

I love your beginning message about using what you have. I recently went through my collection and threw out so much old makeup or dried out makeup. It was a major eye opener of all the items that I own and never use. What a waste of money on my part! I have loved rediscovering so much!

I've not heard anyone talk about the Beautyblender powder puff but it is amazing! It's a double sided puff that you can use to touch up powder or cream products, or just blot out the oil. I cannot be without this in my makeup bag.
The ‘one brand’ tutorials are something you used to do that I totally miss now. Maybe even revisit some brands as they have come out with so much more new product and then compare to the previous video/look. That would be really cool!!

I went out and bought the Outlast in Natural Blush. Outstanding color and formula. I am planning on trying the balm with some of my other brands of bone dry uncomfortable liquid lipsticks and to see if it would work similarly. Thanks for getting a great color out there for us to try.
When you mentioned the spritzer of Evian Water it brought me back to the time when that was the setting spray of choice. I used up so many bottles of the Evian Brumisateur spray and I am still a fan of it.
Jessica from Mirrors and Haze here on YT has used UD Aura mixing medium in her videos. She uses it with foundation, too because she’s very fair. It’s gorgeous, somewhat like MAC strobe cream but I think a bit less intense. I’ve had a difficult time finding it now that Sephora and Ulta don’t carry it.
The L'oreal Luminous Serum Tint in 801 Pearl does the exact same thing that you're talking about and works as a natural angelic pink highlighter, I would imagine that it's much cheaper than the one you're using also!
I REALLY like that way your eye makeup looks in this video, I find it very pretty. Hope you can post a video on how you did them with the Tartest Pro Glow & Blush palette.

My Mom got me on that rosy tone cream and it changed my skin! I'm on my 5th jar and will buy it as long as it exists. I rarely get a dry patch now and have cut back on foundation since.
Thank you for highlighting the Cover Girl lip product! I have been using them for years and haven't yet found a high end version that tops it for me. I don't need a matte look for my liquid lip - i just don't want it to move. I love this product and I want other people to love it too so they keep making it.
My goal this year is also to use more of what I have before buying new, and to try more underrated and affordable products. Also to use samples up before moving on. I find I’m using so many different products I couldn’t tell you what works, and I often buy then too quickly forget a makeup product I enjoy. So I would enjoy more focus on underrated products and more in depth follow through.... makeup and skin care lessons, tips, etc. I finally got the Wants palette at Ulta in St. Louis and loving it so far....would enjoy more videos with different color combos.

I used to where that CoverGirl Outlast lipstick when I was a football referee. I would just add the top lip balm whenever I could, and the color would stay fresh throughout the whole game. That stuff is amazing.
The whole video I was sitting here thinking that your skin, and whole look, looked extra amazing today. This look suits you so well! When you got to the Liquid Aura I immediately started looking it up even though I'm not usually in to products like that. I own a Blotterazzi that I got in a Sephora Play! Box. I will try the refreshing technique. As a dry skin type, it sits unused, since I don’t need it for oil control. Thanks, Emily! The technique with the Aura liquid works great with any glowy primer or liquid highlighter that’s shimmer-free. I use L’Oréal Lumi primer just like this!

I love the Blotterazzi also. I kept one sponge to do a refresh and the other sponge I use for liquid highlighters and cream blush. Sometimes I also use them for powder touch ups because they are easier to wash than a powder puff. I do feel like it’s a VERY underrated product but so good.
Wet'n'Wild photofocus concealer is a really good thing that nobody buzzes about. I'm not concerned about the photographic aspect of this product. I just love how well it blends and sets.
I love the fact you are finding and using products you already had! I Saw you use the UD eyeshadow primer down to the end! I have more than one of their primers but I am trying to use my least favorite everyday so it will be gone. They have popped out so many new pallets it was hard to decide which ones you really wanted to spend your money on. Thanks 🙏
Love you and your videos!!! One of my FAVORITE everyday eyeshadows is the Maybelline Expert Wear singles. I LOVE Nude Glow (kind of a natural rose gold) and The Glo Down (more of a natural soft gold). Beautiful on the eyelids!!! I know you reviewed some of these shadows in other colors and didn't care for them. THEY WORK GREAT if you USE THE SPONGE APPLICATOR that comes with the eyeshadow.
Just tried the Covergirl Outlast intense duo with the gloss this week. It was on sale for just $2.50 at my Walgreens, so I thought I’d give it a go. That stuff STAYS! I really had to scrub it off at the end of the day. Nude Intensity is my perfect nude- I’m afraid that particular product is being discontinued, but hopefully will be replaced because I’m hooked!

It is an amazing all~around palette. I need only skin\base and can use this for pretty much everything else. Great for travel🛫

Love your video ideas & how you execute them. You’re QUEEN of Practicality !! I’ve never been a fan of how many channels are all new reviews. I MUCH rather see new ways of using what I already gave or how to get the most benefit from whatever product. Unless there’s some new product that’s SO good & essential, I don’t care to see every eyeshadow palette that’s released. If you’re a makeup wearer & lover, you probably have your fav palettes. I’d rather see inspiration for new looks. You’re seriously the best! Can’t wait to snag one of those covergirl lips!
Oh thank God! Literally! I'm in the midst of my am get ready and I watch beauty videos while I do. All that has been showing up on my feed have been boring! In the middle of my brow routine, up pops YOU! Now my day is on the highway! Yipee!
Love these types of videos!! If you haven’t tried it, the Elf primer infused bronzer is also SO beautiful. I’m the fairest of the fair and their lightest shade is the perfect neutral tone for me. Downside is I believe there’s only three shades, wish it came in deeper shades so everyone could try it. They adhere to the face just like the blushes do, without skipping or dragging!!
Revlon Colorstay foundation is so underrated. Also, I’m obsessed with Too Faced primed and poreless pressed powder and you’re the only person I’ve ever heard talk about it! You should shop your stash for it! It’s better than the Laura Mercier powder in my opinion because it’s perfect for touch ups, controls oil without being at all cakey, and really does reduce the look of my pores! Super underrated so I’m so glad you suggested it in the past 👍🏻

The revlon colorstay was so gorgeous but it breaks me out so bad! I wanted to love it because everything else about it was great. Also, I could see my oils trying to poke through in my nose area after 6 hours and it had those weird dark circles before the oil finally poked through. I did love the coverage and how it made my skin look the first few hours though.
You really are the queen of undiscovered gems! Thanks to you I bought the L.A. Colors duo eye shadows and they are the most expensive feeling eye shadow in my collection! the colors are awesome and just with two colors and a bronzer i can do soo many looks!

No one really talks about the Kokie stuff from Walmart, but their yellow color corrector is AMAZING. Red Apple Lipstick is also really awesome. They're gluten and allergen free. They are super smooth and non drying. My sister won a giveaway and gave me her prize. I got a really pretty lippie from them that I love.

@@tellygz I have a medium to tan skin tone with a warm olive complexion and I love it. I loved the original one, and now I'm obsessed with the new lip serum formula. I actually got it on auto delivery from qvc. Qvc has on there site where you can get both formulas for a little bit more than the cost of one. They have easy pay where you split up the payments over a few months and they have returns. If you want to try both formulas I'd suggest looking into qvc before the end of January bc it's beauty month. Also it's supposed to be different for everyone but me and my sister both end up with the same color and she has a lighter cooler skin tone than me. It's a wash of bright pink. A wash. It's like your lips but brighter pinkier lovlier

I love your beginning message about using what you have. I recently went through my collection and threw out so much old makeup or dried out makeup. It was a major eye opener of all the items that I own and never use. What a waste of money on my part! I have loved rediscovering so much!

I love those blushes from elf ! They are like those ones from the balm !! They have a bronzer too and it is just as good!!
I've not heard anyone talk about the Beautyblender powder puff but it is amazing! It's a double sided puff that you can use to touch up powder or cream products, or just blot out the oil. I cannot be without this in my makeup bag.

I went out and bought the Outlast in Natural Blush. Outstanding color and formula. I am planning on trying the balm with some of my other brands of bone dry uncomfortable liquid lipsticks and to see if it would work similarly. Thanks for getting a great color out there for us to try.
When you mentioned the spritzer of Evian Water it brought me back to the time when that was the setting spray of choice. I used up so many bottles of the Evian Brumisateur spray and I am still a fan of it.
Jessica from Mirrors and Haze here on YT has used UD Aura mixing medium in her videos. She uses it with foundation, too because she’s very fair. It’s gorgeous, somewhat like MAC strobe cream but I think a bit less intense. I’ve had a difficult time finding it now that Sephora and Ulta don’t carry it.
The L'oreal Luminous Serum Tint in 801 Pearl does the exact same thing that you're talking about and works as a natural angelic pink highlighter, I would imagine that it's much cheaper than the one you're using also!

My Mom got me on that rosy tone cream and it changed my skin! I'm on my 5th jar and will buy it as long as it exists. I rarely get a dry patch now and have cut back on foundation since.
Thank you for highlighting the Cover Girl lip product! I have been using them for years and haven't yet found a high end version that tops it for me. I don't need a matte look for my liquid lip - i just don't want it to move. I love this product and I want other people to love it too so they keep making it.
My goal this year is also to use more of what I have before buying new, and to try more underrated and affordable products. Also to use samples up before moving on. I find I’m using so many different products I couldn’t tell you what works, and I often buy then too quickly forget a makeup product I enjoy. So I would enjoy more focus on underrated products and more in depth follow through.... makeup and skin care lessons, tips, etc. I finally got the Wants palette at Ulta in St. Louis and loving it so far....would enjoy more videos with different color combos.

I used to where that CoverGirl Outlast lipstick when I was a football referee. I would just add the top lip balm whenever I could, and the color would stay fresh throughout the whole game. That stuff is amazing.

I own a Blotterazzi that I got in a Sephora Play! Box. I will try the refreshing technique. As a dry skin type, it sits unused, since I don’t need it for oil control. Thanks, Emily! The technique with the Aura liquid works great with any glowy primer or liquid highlighter that’s shimmer-free. I use L’Oréal Lumi primer just like this!

I love the Blotterazzi also. I kept one sponge to do a refresh and the other sponge I use for liquid highlighters and cream blush. Sometimes I also use them for powder touch ups because they are easier to wash than a powder puff. I do feel like it’s a VERY underrated product but so good.
Wet'n'Wild photofocus concealer is a really good thing that nobody buzzes about. I'm not concerned about the photographic aspect of this product. I just love how well it blends and sets.
I love the covergirl balm for on top of any lipstick if I'm not feeling a matte lip

I have more than one of their primers but I am trying to use my least favorite everyday so it will be gone. Love you and your videos!!! One of my FAVORITE everyday eyeshadows is the Maybelline Expert Wear singles. I LOVE Nude Glow (kind of a natural rose gold) and The Glo Down (more of a natural soft gold). Beautiful on the eyelids!!! I know you reviewed some of these shadows in other colors and didn't care for them. THEY WORK GREAT if you USE THE SPONGE APPLICATOR that comes with the eyeshadow.
Just tried the Covergirl Outlast intense duo with the gloss this week. It was on sale for just $2.50 at my Walgreens, so I thought I’d give it a go. That stuff STAYS! I really had to scrub it off at the end of the day. Nude Intensity is my perfect nude- I’m afraid that particular product is being discontinued, but hopefully will be replaced because I’m hooked!
