You have helped me overcome by gaming addiction that took a heavy toll on me , thanks to you, I’ve stopped gaming and made new friends and my grades have significant increased. Thank you so much Game quitters for this!
I took 30 day video game stop (dopamin detox) in January but relapsed afterwards since I have no job or career. But during the dopamin detox I managed to read the Marie Kondo book and other self-help books and started cleaning my house 1/3 and I managed to get ADD diagnosis and will hopefully start getting ADD medicine. I also went back to practicing playing guitar more. However, I'm very addicted to YT and browsing the Internet reading about video game news on message boards and it's really hard to get out of that habit. I know that I have to get off video game related content and I did un-follow most video game related sites on YT. Now I just must focus more on doing other fun stuff in order to re-develop my brain. And find out what I want to do with my life.
Day 98 of the G-virus detox: Happy Good Friday to you man! Online content can for sure degrade our mental and physical health. Getting away from using screen time for entertainment towards engagement and productivity. This is always a timely video and working with son’s therapist to set a goal for screen time usage.
This something I do or was doing for awhile and now getting back into it. I have 3 main apps that I engage during the week and 1 day no electronic stuff expect basic stuff, still looking at reducing it further but you do feel better doing something productive over just consuming.
i really am working on lowering my time on my phone, its pretty bad the way i am on it for nearly 4 hours a day, i will try some of these strategies out for myself
Big organization actually conduct expensive research in what you are addicted to. They have built too many behaviorial mechanisms to keep the vulnerable in their traps. You could judge yourself and see if you are their prey. It's real-life modern hunting that you could be the easy target.
yes this is what I like here. There are other more addictions to point out on the screen. I spend some time at night playing sports and do some screen time afterwards. I don't game a lot because I have no invitations from friends to play with. I have a lot of invites for watching movies. There's so much time consumptions to spend on the screen.
I would think that running a UA-cam channel about quitting video games and screen addiction very difficult. The point of your channel is to essentially make your viewers stop viewing, it really takes a great deal of selflessness to accomplish this.
i spend money on OF again last night even that I don't really have afford it😥 please help spending money feels liek the only way for me to eb loved be disbled and all, I know I shouldn't but i get so lonely sometimes and she sure knows how to convice me, , is fun for time being but I just feel worthless and used after😥
@GameQuitters I would add that same results can be due to news reading - actually i got same effects in pre-social media times when news aggregators like digg or slashdot appeard. I was going through internet news daily on numerous sites. I am happy to miss somehow all social media fever as facebook closed my account very early during they crazy idea that everybody will be represented by real name there. So i was asked to provide with ID to unlock the account and never did.
