I dont like how the e 310 doesn't sit securely in the base, my kid pressed on it while it was blending and it flipped off the base exposing him to the part going so fast he could have lost a finger. The lid comes off so easily, it doesn't snap into place and stay once it gets up to high speeds. Most of my smoothies require me to stay there using the tamper stick the whole time. I use it only for smoothies in the end. What other kind should I try instead
Hello. At this time Vitamix containers are not designed to lock into place. This is intended, as the motor base is aligning with the container for optimal performance. With that said we do offer containers where the lid will click into place. All of our Ascent and Venturist units will come standard with this container and lid design. Also, please be sure that you are blending your smoothies on high speed, speed 10, as this will lessen how much you will have to use your tamper.
