also, props for not changing gendered pronouns in your covers. it's not the norm and that takes chutzpah.

Very cool ladies! I just discovered you guys just now. Subscribed. Not too many all female Trio's out there. I've been a fan of The Warning for some time now. Have heard of them? Three sisters from Monterrey Mexico.

I am sure the three thumbs down were from people holding their phones upside down.
Clive; they are clearly not into music!

Yeah, I don't get it.....what's wrong with people?
To each their own but I think some people just can't be pleased or satisfied. Usually young guys on here that are jealous that girls have the spotlight instead of them. Just gotta work hard guys to beat these three rockin chic's!!!
I reckon they must be Australians
I just want Irish rock chicks from Ireland. Its exactly what this world needs right now.
Irish woman rock!!!
To hell w/ Brexit - We just want to Rock. We just want to Rock. We just want to Rock 'n ROLL !!!!!!!!!!!!! ( ❤❤❤ from Los Angeles, Calif. !!!!!!!!!💋💋💋)
jstar1000. ah. 👍👌👌
Just when I thought the music of todays youth consisted of bedrooms, laptops, sampling other more talented peoples work and Autotune I find these girls. Not only have they bothered to learn to play well, they can actually sing and write original songs with melodies. There's hope for music after all....
There are a number of these out there.
Band-Maid (absolutely the best hard rock band anywhere right now)
RUIDO ROSA - DENTRO
The Warning
The Regrettes
The Pretty Reckless - Death By Rock And Roll
Elephant Gym - Finger
Honestly, you'll find the most amazing Guitar and Drum musicianship in Japan, but the above draws from a little bit of diverse geography to get you started.
I can only assume the reason you thought this is because you never bothered to look. There have been a litany of great new bands over the past 20 years. It just seems like a lot of the older generation have convinced themselves that all music after the 90s is nothing but laptops and Justin Bieber. This is a great shame because it couldn't be further from the truth.
@@andyk9735 yes haveing grown up in the sixties & seventies, they capture the music of that era & make it their own. Plus create their own numbers with skill and style. Hopefully more will be seen of them post Covid. In the meantime they are honing their skills to excellent !
You don’t go to bars anymore do you… I mean I did it for a while 10 years ago but I’m 55 so I only did it for a while to see what was going on and there’s a lot of bands out there like this… I hate to say even much better than them. However for Belfast this is outstanding I suppose because I have busker friends who gig More overseas than here because their music is frankly too good for bars and only Europeans pay well for live original entertainment
@@grahamsutliffe5643 I don't really understand why you put that comment as a reply to me? Seems more like a response to the original guy :')
I've only just found this band and I'm totally blown away. Three incredibly talented musicians in every respect and I can't wait for this wretched Covid business to be over so we can see bands like this at festivals and opening up for big names on tour. The two vocals combine to make a very distinctive third voice, the lead guitar cuts the air like a knife, the bass and drums are a real powerhouse driving to the sound forward. Girls you're as good as trio as I've ever heard and I'm 70 !! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I'm 73 and absolutely agree. These girls are so talented and an exciting listen too. A great future beckons. (P.S. I spent 2 weeks in Carryduff with aunt & uncle in 1963. Bet it's change a lot since then).
Ian Logan They remind me of a band in the 70s called Fanny 🤔
The Covid scam and all the medical tyranny associated with it are indeed wretched!!
They are so 60s hip. I lived through it and this is the first retro band that I've heard that has it on the nose.
Switching bass and lead guitar is almost crazy.... they only use two guitars... I am mesmerized... they tackle tough riffs with ease
I have watched the Limelight and busking. I have never seen 3 musicians put out this much music after 50 years in professional and semi-professional performance. These girls are great! And I noted that both guitarists seem equally proficient at bass and guitar. Very impressive.
@@zdave6083 Boo Hoo
I think we are seeing something special here
I am 73 years old, but I have not lost my reason (yet ... haha), you are very good musicians. thank you very much, a nice surprise.
I’m 65. I too was quite pleased to run into this group. I was in a band in the 60s that played some of their songs, not as well as they do. I eventually got good at lead/rhythm guitar. Had to quit about a decade ago, tho. Thanks arthritis. Anyway, I’m really impressed with this band. I could play the intro to Crossroads. But I never had the patience to memorize the two mid-song solos, which they might not do on this video but I think they did on the street. Anyway, aside from their being (cuss word) great, I can empathize w the refreshing nature of hearing these young people play the old songs. I’ve got one kid into K-Pop, and another apparently not interested in music. So I sold my ‘62 Strat (perfect condition). If I’d heard this group before that, I might have just given it to this group. It had incomparable sound, just like they have.
I'm 71 and with you on this - they are great.
I am 66 years old ...the same ^)
Forming a rock band with your mates has got to be one of the most fun things to do. Great to see more & more women giving it a go! Of course, hats off to those beautiful rebels who always ignored the "BOYS ONLY" sign on the clubhouse door!

I am a 67 ear old man and this was the kind of music i loved these girls are Rocking
Hell, I just turned 74 and find them refreshing. A throwback to musicians that lived and played at Fillmore West, Winterland and the Avalon in San Francisco In 60's/70's. Keep up the good work Rockin in the Free World.
Brought a year to my eye!I'm gonna be 68 in a week and you girls take me back to my younger days when I used to play in bands.Man I sure miss those days!Keep on rocking girls you're very good!!!
When Mollie says "...and I'm Mollie on the bass" I just love how she says 'bass'. On a more serious note, this is one talented trio! The first time I saw them, Orlaith was playing bass and Mollie was playing lead - seems that they can both play both. How cool is that?
The coolest
@@electriclightlynnetrex6346 Thanks a lot! I was a bit worried that you meant me at first so I Googled your quote + The Outer Limits... it's all good 👍
@@raythegrader6516 yes. Its a famous quote from that Outer Limits episode. Great thumbnail
RaytheGrader
I remember watching the episode with the guy that is your thumbnail back in the 60s, probably 20-30 times. I'm not sure but I think the year in the future that he traveled to was 802,701. I saw it so many times that the number just stuck in this 68 year old brain. How weird is that?
These girls are dynamite. Sensational is not a good enough word. It's very unusual that Orlaith and Mollie are both equally skilled on bass and guitar. They're both amazing and seem capable of playing anything. Mamie also provides excellent propulsive drumming. I like their own songs and any cover they do is just perfect. Such attack and attitude. I wish I was young again so that I could see them live.
Absolutely fantastic. Hearing this kind of rock music played so well in this day and age is brilliant. Nothing can replace tunes talent and passion - keep computers samplers and auto tune thank you. This is music to me
Don’t these women know the rules? No showing off playing each other’s instruments! Tooooooo much talent for these three individuals. Great stuff.
I love this band. Saw them doing street videos. Rock it. So good to see the succeed.peace and love ❤️ thanks 8888
Excellent performance! Only thing missing was a live audience to give you the cheers and standing ovations that you so richly deserve! Keep on rockin!!!

@@tolvajakos All part of the live experience lol. The best way for them to make money is playing concerts with paying fans.
@@neilfromny4117 my comment was not sarcastic in any way. i miss those things. and i don't like concerts where you don't have them.
At 75 I've seem and heard many bands , these girls are certainly good, talented young ladies , I wish them well .
You young ladies ROCK and are extremely talented. I love your old school style! Hello from Southern Oregon, USA
Brilliant cover of Purple Haze - they never try and overdo things. Spot on!
Anyone who can pull off a decent cover of "Whole Lotta Love" is OK in my book! Well done, Ladies!
Reminds me a bit of when I saw The Runaways back in 1976. Here I am 45 years later having flashbacks, lol.
I started in bands playing this music. I did twenty years on the road and I can say one thing. You girls are the real deal. Thanks for taking me back to my original stage.

Thanks YT algorithm! What a great discovery to put some shine on the end of a crappy year. It’s all good but I especially like the vocal harmonies
Cream and Hendrix showed what a power trio could do, as did 1st generation Grand Funk, James Gang, Beck Bogert & Appice, West Bruce & Laing, Johnny Winter with Uncle John Turner & Tommy Shannon, Steve Marriott’s Packet of Three, Argentine musicians Ericu Sativa, and some others, including ZZ Top. There is a discipline to making a trio work. Dea Matrona has mastered that discipline. More players are not needed now.
They have an integrity that is very refreshing. These people have paid their dues from a quite young age and experienced busking, which not all musicians have done. Their evolution from Orlaith and Mollie to Dea Matrona has been steady, organic, and unhurried. Their period-correct garb and personal style mesh well with their music. Their mix of covers and originals is good.
There’s no point to vaporing on about them; the music’s the thing, and they have the music.
They are brilliant! Great sound, great rock, they have everything, fantastic talent and musicality.......I like that they share they lead and bass playing too. 👍✌
Молодцы девочки❤😊
Absolutely brilliant! You've no idea how good it is to see talented young people making proper music on proper instruments! Thanks for this - will share widely and try and catch you live once the world returns to normal!
Found Dea Matrona via link from Rory Gallagher , with them playing ‘Cradle Rock’. If you haven’t seen it, find it! Great musicians, playing proper music. ‘Crossroads’ is superb. Hope they have great success

This music is the real staple of the music world, and not all the commercial crap that is about!
Yes
great to see a young group keeping rocking and roll alive and also doing a great thing for a great charity
This music does not only belong to “the sixties”. It is played right now as can be seen, and is everfresh every time.
If these girls don't become superstars there is no justice.
Just wow..the musicianship, the harmonies and the vibe, what more can you ask for ! They are something very special !
Best sound for a long time. So good to have some good music in 21st.
This reminds me of the good old days in america in 80s when i was 21. Real music real instraments a real band. No computer generated sounds, just real good music which is good for the sole. Puts smiles on faces and lifts moods.. thank you ladies your great...keep on rocking me baby, keep rock alive.
excellent point! this IS what we did that decade...swore off punk, new wave and kept the guitars playing ALL NIGHT!!
I'm a retired drummer from Florida. I'd just like to say that your young drummer has a very unique style of drumming that I haven't seen before. It's difficult for a drummer to find a style that they can call their own. Great Job! Keep it up!
That tune Show Me is an absolute ripper!!!!! Love it!!!!
I do a lot of busking in South America. I use cheaper instruments too like Squire and Epiphone. To see you swap guitars is so cool. I love that street confidence in your talent and equipment. When we play every day and perform in the streets day after day, it makes you so solid all the way around. I know because I experienced it myself I was so shocked I never looked at my left hand or neck after two months, and you play what ever you think of. You never know when it can all be stolen! I've had gear stolen while I was singing in large crowds in Santiago Bella Vista. I like this type of musicianship, street performers. All of the studio recording snobs and guitar and gear collectors get humbled by raw talent on cheaper equipment. It's about the performer.
Check out Jack Pearson, he plays less expensive guitars.
As do I
What astonishing talent. Never stop! You’ll go to the top as you should. Great guitarist, great bassist, great drummer. Wow, wow, wow. Love, love, love to you all.
The talented group ladies.
Quite the show, quite the talent. Like the live sound; studio versions must really sound great! Playing all the faves, making that Strat swing and sing, with superb tone! Thanks so much for sharing. You ladies ROCK! You got yourselves another subscriber! Gotta check out that album, too! Nice to see you doing this as a benefit, amidst the pandemic troubles--shows you gals got your heart in the right place.
Professional and very entertaining. Thank you for that amazing drive on Crossroads, took me back 50 years! 😉

Just discovered you. So sometimes the guitarist and bassist swap instruments? That's really cool.
They are brilliant there on Spotify as well. And Molly is the older sister to the drummer.
A real show of talent! Blumming heck
Each to there own opinion just because you don't like them does not mean the rest of use who does like them. And many venues u played in or many festival u played in and many songs have u wrote ?and how many times u been on u tube on Spotify I'm gonna take a tough guess to all these questions and say ur not done as much as these girls have done since they started In 2018.
@@zdave6083 have you argued this on many male groups' comments sections, Dave? Or does the fact these girls kick as and have an iconic sound threaten you somewhat?
Well this girl band is better than any the so called girl bands going about present or past from the crap spice girls who can't sing to save themselves. And not sure about all new to me as Ive been on this earth for 53yrs now so I've seen great and good bands come aswell as worse bands. But as I said each to there own opinion about music good or bad.
Нет предела радости, что есть в новом поколении такие люди.
These ladies are very talented
This was an amazing performance! Loved every minute of it! Also very well shot
From one of the best versions of Crossroads I've heard to a great original... and an instrument swap! Props to the drummer too didn't miss a beat. Be great if a big record company picked them up... music needs something like this to educate the youngsters away from the 'talent show' screamers.
That guitar tone sounds alot like live Cream ! well done:)
White girls copying white boys copying Black Men.
I loved it all but the original tunes were kick arse! Their song writing belies their age.
Forsythe, McGinn. The 21st century Lennon, McCartney. These girls are going to be world stars. Need to see them on UK tv asap.
Sunday Brunch & Jools Holland for sure.
Your own songs are AMAZING! Keep it going
Ok this is my third comment but I have never seen any band literally switching the bass and lead guitar after each song! Great great talent!
I still can’t decide who is the better lead guitarist,Mollie or Orlaith
@@anthonyschofield7807 That’s part of what makes them so unique. They’re both very good musicians as well as singers. I think Mollie has a little more stage presence but they can both take the lead.

All 3 of you are really developing as a band, & as individuals within the band. The 1st band I've seen to swap guitars.
I listen to this and think how mind blowing it would have been for a band of women to have played in a club like this in the late 60's or early 70's. Now you give this music new life. Love your originals, very distinctive sound. Amazing when you swap instruments and then you are both equally proficient, really unique.

. That jolted my memory (I am no youngster). I have heard "Charity Ball" before, but that might be about it. It says they were on Sonny and Cher and that might be it. Perhaps they were bigger in the UK. But I wonder if Dea Matrone have heard of them? Reading their Wiki, Fanny certainly were groundbreakers. Thanks for bringing this up. Always good to learn something new.

It blows my old mind these the talented Irish women do such a great job of interpreting Cream's version of Robert Johnson's blues classic ('Crossroads.'
I wonder what Mr. Johnson would think, if we had a time machine back to the 1920s to play it for him....).

Girlfriend “what do you want for Christmas?” Me; “Molly McGinn.” The doctors tell me I should be home around Easter. They’re all highly talented musicians, but as a bass player Molly hits a very high standard (I’ve been playing bass for 30 years and have rarely heard a bassist that young play with such style)
