So proud to say that these great singers came from Detroit.
I wasn't even born when this took place but I grew up listening to and still listen to all of the artist. The Winans and Commissioned will forever be my 2 favorite groups of all time.
It’s good to know he’ll be there if ever I fall but it’s better to know that I don’t have to fall at all ~ I was 3 years old when this concert happened. I still bump this album to this day🙌🏾💜

Thank you for this and the 1987 Christmas special. I saw these when I was a kid and I killed the VHS, I knew every part. These were the days when music (in general) was good.

I grew up listening to the Winans but never saw this before and it’s absolutely amazing- I am praying for the day music with lyrics like this will be welcome in the church again! Holiness-staying kept by the Lord-living a victorious Christian life is still possible everyone! Just ask Him and study the Word of God for yourself

Wow I heard about this concert and saw it in a Christian book store the winans were pretty much the top dogs then and kept that mantel for 10 more years (miss Ronald) and Vanessa was at her best and commissioned were just getting started, but I’m i the only one who kind of laugh at how musical instruments and sound quality has come a long way since then,praise god but man I’m old😂😂😂
I hear you, I was 8 years old when this came out, I was always a big Winans fan and Vanessa Bell, I am assuming this took place in Detroit the only people missing is The Clark Sisters then it would be a real Detroit concert. Audio Visual has come a long way.

Wow, all of the Brothers were some big dudes back in the day. I guess after the death of Ron they decide to make some health changes. Calvin really looks good today. Marvin is the only one who looks like he's not concerned about his weight. As I child growing up in the church I never understood why religious/Christians weren't health conscience.

Yes. This was when rnb singers who refused to sing secular really pushed the idea of not being prude Christians...so it's a reason these groups are iconic. They spoke to a generation very in tune with self and not afraid to express themselves.......even in church.....
