I don't think people realize how much strength it takes to pull your own self out of a dark place mentally. So, if you've done that today or any day, I'm proud of you. 🤗✨❣️
I was diagnosed with depression 3 yrs ago... folks now use this term so casually.. i hope no one ever goes through this..❤ ...
Absolutely right... I am going through anxiety and depression. Have visited a psychiatrist and now taking medicine. I want to come out of it. No one knows what it feels like...
You can cure your depression through nutrition. I did mine too. Want to know about it?
When I feel sad, I remind myself of all the EMIs due next month and get back to work. All the sadness is forgotten. Best therapy ever 💀
I work with some of the best coaches who are also biohackers in the world in California. His clients go through mental depression, suicidal thoughts but it all comes down to your irregular hormones, vitamins, etc. if you’re thinking you’re depressed, first go to get your blood tested and improve your levels. Focus on exercise, sleep and a clean, healthy protein rich diet. I guarantee you’re not going to be depressed again.
I was suffering from pcods due to which there is always fluctuation on my hormones level. It leads me always being sadness, depressed and mentally unwell.
After trying for so much of medical treatment for pcods, it couldn't help for longer time instead it got more worsen.
As I started changing my lifestyle , my diet , my sleeping pattern and more importantly as i started doing meditation and gratitude morning and evening it helped me so much. I am so much relief and relaxed now.
So , i recommend everyone to do deep breathing and gratitude meditation at least for 10-15min each day. It is one of the key medication for upliftment of mental health.❤😊
A much needed podcast..i hope people will understand mental illness and not take it lightly anymore
Can't wait to dive in. I know already that this episode is gonna be AMAZING. Dr. Samir Parikh is remarkable at what he does. I was truly lucky I got to attend a workshop conducted by him at Fortis, almost six years back now, in eighth grade and until now, I haven't been able to forget that experience of how he encouraged us to brainstorm and think about doing our bit for the environment. Him talking about the Global Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP) that day is something that has stuck with me and I'd bet I still even have the carbon footprint activity he engaged the participants in alongside Ms. Divya. Seeing his face on the thumbnail instantly brought all of those memories back. ABSOLUTELY SUPERB TO SEE HIM ON TRS! ❤ ALL THE BIOLOGY PODCASTS ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITES!
Depression feels like a black hole something pulling you down and makes you cry for no reason. It literally took me almost a year to get out of. I am so glad this podcast is being made. Much needed for the society
Thank you to Dr Sameer! 2008 it was his diagnosis and his support for a year ! I came out of that horrendous experience of bipolar disorder! He’s the best!
please make a separate podcast about Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder with Dr. Samir parikh. It would be of great help🙏🙏🙏
Yes we need more podcast in phsycology

As a fellow psychiatrist, thank you for shining light on mental health👌
I am so inspired by Dr Samir Parikh!! Thank you for bringing him on the show. ❤
Most people don't even know what depression feels like its not just sadness I've gone through it and had 15-20 symptoms

Mental health awareness is super important. Thanks for this!
More of these podcast are required to create awareness on this topic. Thankyou for such a insightful podcast
As a fellow psychiatrist, I was very happy to see the podcast. Covered a range of topics from anxiety/depression to adult ADHD and cannabis addiction. These are so relevant to the youth today. You surely understand the pulse of the new generation. Mental health is such a large and often misunderstood field that more such episodes would really help to reduce the barriers/misconceptions in seeking help.
Wonderful episode. One more thing I have heard even from many people including few doctors even in social media the upsurge of wifi towers in the cities have led to more psychiatric and psychological problems than earlier days. Wifi towers not only affect physically but even brain related issues. How true that is God knows.
Thank you for this videos, helping a lot in knowledge building, too greatful for having people like you who just think of sharing the real world to the people
I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for 6 months and let me tell you it was the toughest experience that I had to undergo in my life. Trust me I consider myself very strong mentally and despite that i struggled every day. Also, I was living in a new city alone and that made it worse. By God's grace, I was able to come out of it, but i would always remember that phase as the darkest phase in my life! 😢
Much needed to address mental health and remove stigma and how to approach it 😊. It is considered a public health concern today.
Thanks Dr..1st 5 min itself was beyond brilliant. So much clarity of thought. As a medical professional I can say the way he has simplified no one has..wish we had teachers like him.
Congratulations on being listed as one of the top youtube channels in the world🥳. Super proud of you, sir😊. We love you💖.

Also, if positive it’d be nice if you could address about physical dependence on psychotic pills and how to deal with overcoming it. You’re already doing a fantabulous job but a thought from my experience. Thanks a lot

Great episode.....but I wonder what Dr Samir Parikh thinks about alternate ancient techniques such as yoga , ayurveda, reiki, crystal healing etc.....and their scope in mental health for the Indian population.... That could've been discussed and would've been interesting to hear about too

Because you thinking of yourself as a separate entity from existence? And always want to be extraordinary?
19:27 I am 16 and i experienced panic attacks last december, whatever he said was the exact same thing that happened to me, i thought that im having a heart attack, I could not even sleep at night because of the fear and on top of this i had my board exams round the corner. Gosh, it was so hard but finally im out of it, those days were the worst.
Please do separate podcasts on all the topics in the video. In-depth and separate episodes of depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Thanks.
I wish we could provide help to those who need it ...society makes it worse.. people only don't judge and advise for mental problems they can judge on physical illness too like Karama bcz you did this that....
I hope people become more empathetic and less judgemental ... Invest more on own mental and physical health then becoming toxic for their own self and others...
Why Deepika padukone's photo?? Is she a brand ambassador for depression??

ranveer breaking into laughter here was like a sunrise
Me also diagnosed with OCD and depression before 3 yrs....Previously before to that the situation was unnoticed....it was noticed only after marriage...when the factual hammer hitted in my forehead that I'm not able to indulge in sexual act ...in the fullest manner....Then I sought doctor's advice...then started taking medicines for OCD and depression since 2021...eventhough the symptoms get started during my school days itself....Struggled alot to perform in my academics and professional life .....
personally I don't listen to podcasts or anything involving doctors at all. loved the ufc podcast you uploaded lately tho!
I'd like to also suggest having someone from the Indian Metal band 'Bloodywood'
since you're covering so many areas it's really fun, now there's a music potential there they're really good
Please bring more psychiatrist and psycologist in these show❤
