    My previous boyfriend’s dad was in the Coast Guard stationed in Cape May. So my BF took me there last summer, from our home in PA, to see the area where he grew up. We spent time in Wildwood on the boardwalk and hunted for diamonds on the beach in Cape May. A carriage ride at night after dinner was amazing! It was one of the best vacays I’ve had. Unfortunately we are not together anymore and I also am now in Texas, like you. So your diy of the Cape May map touched my heart. ❣️❣️❣️

    This is now my very favorite craft presentation! I do NOT do glossy anything, and God forbid, I don’t DO bows. I decorate my house for every season/holiday: snowmen, MLK birthday, Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, Spring, BEES, Americana, Nautical, Sunflowers, Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
    I’m nearly 75 and am losing my vision, and this is something I can do to bring joy to me, my family, and my friends.
    Your crafts are SOOOI easy to follow and I appreciate your style and explanations.
    I reuse my creations, and I add NEW every season. Your channel will be my GO-TO channel for me.
    Thanks so much for creation, great explanation, etc!

    I grew up in North Cape May. I spent a lot of my childhood visiting and enjoying cold spring village! My grandparents lived in the town Villas. My grandmother would go every tuesday to Cape May to get her hair done. There was some iconic childhood places I made sure I took my kids too. Cold spring village, cape may zoo and of course diamond beach with the sunken ship. Thank you for a trip down memory lane.

      Wonderful Stone Harbor!! Although I went many times when I was older with friends to go to restaurants, shops, etc., my earliest memories of Stone Harbor were actually with my grandfather! His bank, or doctor or other type of business was there but what ever the reason, I remember going there with him and just being amazed that all the shops and businesses in the area we were in had front lawns made of stones and my 9 year old brain figured that is why they called it Stone Harbor!! Hope you are having a wonderful time in SH!! 😊💗

    I’m really enjoying this video. I can’t wait to show it to my daughter! Thank you for creating it.
    I just finished watching the seahorse vases part. My first thought was to photocopy the seahorse onto card stock in reverse mode. Cut it out and decoupage in onto the back side of one of the wooden forms. Then there would be a set of two facing each other. 🙂

      Hi Kimo! Thanks! It does!! I can't believe how bright the light shines through on the little nubs. I was going to do another video with unpainted balls in all the different colors but just running out of time for the season. And now with my daughter moving in to her APT, I need to transition into making things with/for her. But how fabulous would those look in all different colors on a patio or for a party?

    Hi Rosemary, I always love all your diys!!!!! What a great memory of your family from Cape May diy!!!! I'm from Upstate NY but was in Jersey for a few yrs during my military service. Think that would be great......Your so amazing so thanks for sharing with us!!! 💗💗💗💗

      Thanks! So glad you liked the BOHO beach, coastal and nautical diys! And Thanks for your service! Yes, just love the Jersey Shore! It's a special place and so is upstate NY!! As for the livestream, I was going to do a whole series during the lockdowns when my kids were home and tried to see if other crafters who had live stream capabilities were interested but didn't get enough interest to get off the ground. Since my kids were home, they could also help with the tech aspects, so I'm not sure how that all works now. But it is def something I want to revisit! 😊💗

    • @michelleangello8313
      @michelleangello8313 4 роки тому

      @@FABEDhacks Hi Rosemary, do you need other crafters to go live? I don't think you need them, just my humble opinion(lol) you would steal the show,"What, did I say that?" But as far as the tech part of it goes, I do understand you needing the kids to work that out for ya, Lord knows this is a tech era and I'm not tech by any means!!! But something to think about for the future. Thanks and have a great weekend 😊 Stay safe....

    Thinking about your story about your grandfather, I was thinking this...If people, who do "farmhouse" decor, actually lived in a real old farmhouse setting, they may realize that what their decor is...is anything, but farmhouse. They really should rename it, because it shouldn't be called farmhouse, just because you have a Mason jar, or some reclaimed wood. Most real farmhouses had things that were functional, like you were talking about, with the Mason jars, it wasn't used for decor. Most farmhouses weren't stark white, either, anything but, actually. They were kind of dark. The woman, of the house, may have used wall paper, but white would not have been a good color for a farmhouse. I have come to call it Soccer mom decor, considering most of these "farmhouses" are located in city blocks, not out in the country. The one thing I just can't figure out is the signs, though. Some old farmhouses may have had a sign, but it was often a functional piece, too. I don't know who thought of putting up a sign about what room you are in, in your house, like "Kitchen," "Laundry room," "home," etc., or signs that tell you what to do, like "Eat." 🤦
