I created these sausage people which took almost 2 hours and then left and somehow people preserved it for the whole stream and Ludwig had the AUDACITY to call them Link and Zelda as BEANS… I’m at a loss for words. Tbh I’m just glad they made the finished product tysm to anyone who preserved my SAUSAGES I love you more than you know. (He did correct himself later in the stream)

Honestly the only problem with the banner was not enough amogus, otherwise chat did great
it would be interesting to see an r/place up for an entire year totally open for people to make stuff on, and then at the end of the year use whatever was made. Lud could even visit it in videos every so often to see how its going, and make whatever has been created up to that particular month or week, the new banner for the next month or week.
A step up from that would be daily banner changes and then create a timelapse out of a whole years worth of different banners.
except the bots would ultimately be the only things getting real traction after time. I remember that was even a problem in the short time r/place was open. Made some areas off limits to others

Flags usually end up on these not because they’re “something everyone can get behind” but because they don’t require much coordination. It’s very simply to infer without direct communication what type of flag someone’s making and how to extend/defend it. A trans Pokémon on the other hand, that’d be incredibly hard to coordinate even in a vc

I’m assuming he was referring to the identity associated with flags and not them being easier to be made because if he wasn’t that’d just be a contradiction. “I get why people like flags because they’re easier to make, but they should make it more complicated” That makes no sense. What I’m assuming he was saying is “I get that people like flags because they share a sense of community with them, but should implement them in more creative ways”. My comment was pointing out that a lot of people use flags *because* they’re simple to make, not just because of the community aspect

I'm the (primary) creator of the Mudkip to the left of the large Mew. I'm just happy I could leave my mark on an event like this, and have it kept (mostly) pristine by a group of random people who saw what I was making and helped maintain my vision. To those who helped- thank you :)
I was one of the Germans but I didn't like it how they just destroyed some art for the flag so I started it from the back and outlined the pixelart so they wouldn't touch it. It worked. The first thing was a Mudkip (the other one). I helped making it and when the original people who did it left (I think), I turned it shiny and after the border reduction I saw yours and helped maintaining it.
