My best friend and I sailed on the Jewel in Oct 2022. We had an inside cabin on Deck 10 forward. It was our first time cruising, so we have nothing to compare, but we both found our cabin just fine for the two of us. We both have bedrooms at our homes that are relatively the same size. I think it felt like we had more room, since the beds were set up as twins, so we had a wider space between, rather than a little more narrow on the sides when the bed is set up as a large queen. We didn't spend much time in the cabin, other than to sleep, shower and change clothes. I think we explored the ship more, since we didn't have a balcony. As you said, it's what we could afford, and I'm not disappointed that we didn't pay more for the balcony. I did like the new vanity mirror, because the small, lighted ring around the on/off button put out just enough light so that it wasn't pitch black in the room with the lights off. We happened to take motion night lights which came in handy for the times we needed to get up and not wake the other person. Our cabin also had a set of shelves next to the closets, so that did give us a little more storage space for our clothes. It was nice to be able to store our luggage under the beds, that left more room in the bottom of the closet.
That was a wonderful review, the cabin is amazingly nice ❤ everything looks perfect choosing a cabin in a ship is really an art, there are so many things that you need to keep in mind. Thank you so much for sharing ❤
This was such a great overview of the ship! It was great to know the capacity of the ship and to see how a room looks. Also good point on paying attention on the location of your room when booking!
Wow! What an itinerary! The room looks amazing, it’s small, but who cares if you’re not there very much. Gives less space to make a mess 😂 the under bed storage is key. Great inside cabin review! One of the best and most thorough I’ve seen ❤❤❤
Wow! The cabin looked great but I agree a little small for sure. I also would t have thought about the foot traffic Abbie me either and I have been in several cruises. This was for sure the best review and your I have seen! ☺️
I long to go on a cruise in this ship and enjoy some beautiful sleep in a cabin. Am always scared of it, but this time around, I must give it a try. Your review is lovely. ❤
We were on the Jewel the week after you during spring break. We had a cabin with a balcony and brought our two youngest girls with us. The bed configuration was the same with the same short nightstand but we also had a couch that folded into a bed and a bunkbed that would descend from the ceiling. The bunkbed was flush into the ceiling when put away. We had the room steward but up the ceiling bed and the girls had enough room to share the couch bed. The desk configuration was the same but there were more switches including one for the light on the deck. There were also two drawers where your fridge was located and the hair dryer was mounded and fixed to a plug inside one of the drawers. The refrigerator was in another short set of shelve next to the wardrobe as you enter the room. The left hand closet in your room was larger than the one on our room. The life jackets filled most if not all of the top shelf in both sides of the closet. We also brought magnetic hooks. Our bathroom was not at an angle. The floor of the bathroom was raised off the floor of the room a few inches. The commode was to the left nearest the hallway and the shower to the right as you enter into the bathroom. Despite being larger than your cabin ours felt small for the four of us. There was no room to walk past the couch bed to the balcony. Putting away our bags was difficult too. We were on the 9th floor and the only noise was from outside on the balcony. It was hard to hear the announcements in the hall from inside our room. We never met or saw our room steward. Our cabin was located nearer to the elevators in the aft of the boat which was convenient.
Thank you for this excellent description which I am sure will help some people deciding on a cabin. We will be reviewing a balcony cabin soon and just posted a suite cabin review today. Let’s just say the suite was more than enough room but you are paying for it. We have laughed about the toilet situation in our room many times. We won’t get an inside cabin again on NCL for sure.
Excellent comprehensive review! I appreciated the details you included, especially the coverage of the outlet placement and type, and the mirrors. I noticed upon zooming in that the mirror by the vanity has built in lights. Could you use it as a night light?
Not sure if the Jewel would be the same way, but on the NCL Pearl if you long hold the button on the mirror, it dims down very low to a night light level light.
This was a nice vlog. I went on my very first cruise in 2008 I think and have never gone back to land and have done a couple Carnival Cruises and Royal Caribbean so it was cool to see a different cruise line. From what I know of inside cabins they definitely look similar but love the bed spread in this one.

Yes we have to start a checklist of what to check when choosing a cruise cabin! Thanks for your kind comment!
This cabin looks so nice! I've never been on a Norwegian Cruise, but I'm considering it!
It’s small but if you get out of the room and move around the ship you won’t be in it often! Hope you go and have a great time!

Yes it is very important to check the deck plans for above and below your planned stateroom! Thanks for watching!

We definitely were forced to put things away! Thanks for watching!

It was a little bright as a nightlight for our tastes. We use little tea lights or rechargeable nightlights.

@@LuxuryTravelDocs you’re welcome. I forgot to ask if you guys do a different cruise line every time?
@@MelanieTheEquestrian often yes! Or new or refurbished ships.
Nice ❤
Thanks 🔥
