- It's the 2 year anniversary of the Donovan Mitchell trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but what if he got traded to the Knicks? How would the team look and would we be as successful as we've been the past 2 seasons? Dariel Concha breaks it all down!

the knicks will never ever deal with Danny ANGIE and the Utah jazz so if the knick FANS are looking to get that Utah jazz big center
( FORGET ABOUT IT )
Danny want 3 1st round picks lolll knoing his style
TBH With Mitchell's explosive style of play, that Knee is not gonna hold up for the long haul. That's why I didn't want the Knicks to sign him. Sadly, I think the Cav's will be dealing with it sooner than later....
I think the Cavs bigger problem is literally everyone else. Mobley needs to be a 5 and they just re-signed Allen, and Garland is an awful fit next to Mitchell. They need a TJ McConnell esque player tbh. - Chris
I’m just glad that they didn’t get Donovan!! Because I’m not sure they would’ve gotten the Nova-Knicks!!!
@@knicksdigestExactly!!! Some of these teams in the NBA think that all you need is one player to get them over the “hump” and sadly they realize this only after they’ve sunk money into mediocre players… and there are so many examples of this in both basketball and baseball history.
Yes, the NY Knicks had dodged a bullet of not getting Donovan Mitchell. Instead of getting "Jalen Brunson and hit gold 🪙 (Superstar level🌟).
Jalen Brunson is a lot better PG than Donovan Mitchell. It shows for the last two years now with the Knicks, especially in the NBA playoffs.
If i remember correctly, knicks were trying to pair donovon mitchel with brunson. Dont know how that woulda been with the small ball lineup, and lack of defense, it seems to have worked out fine for the knicks!
I woulda hated that lineup tbh lol - Chris
The problem with the Cavs weren’t necessarily all Donovan’s but the Cav’s team structure wasn’t conducive to winning playoff games….. and that includes their coaching staff! Donovan needs to play with a dominant center and a defensive playmaking small forward/power forward…
That sounds like the KNICKS😂
Donovan needs a robin like a Jalen Brown to his Tatum like a dejonte Murray or DeRozan but that has sailed
1st of he wouldn’t come to this team thinking that this his team he would know that this is Brunson team so why the HATE on SPIDA 🤦🏽♂️
You could say that about a lot of guys. AI , Karl Malone , Melo etc
hindsight is 20-20 and EASY to talk now.
at the time, i would NOT have bent over backwards to give Utah a haul, because at the time, the Knicks adding Donovan Mitchell (while trading their youth) was only gonna make them a 4th place team IN THEIR OWN DIVISION!
they weren't gonna be better than Boston, Philly nor Brooklyn (with Kyrie/KD/Harden).
so imagine giving up players and assets and still being 4th in your own division?
as for Donovan Mitchell not being a winning player, I'd disagree. he led Utah Jazz to a #1 seed IN THE WEST.
..and first year in Cleveland, he had a better season & higher seed than Jalen Brunson.
the Cavs have been a #4 seed TWO YEARS IN A ROW. why do we think that is? it ain't cause of +$200M man Darius Garland.
do yall think the Timberwolves are good? look at the model of their roster and see if the Cavs are built that much differently:
Mike Conley Jr--Darius Garland.
Anthony Edwards--Donovan Mitchell.
Jaden McDaniels-Isaac Okorro.
Karl Anthony Towns-Evan Mobley.
Rudy Gobert-Jarrett Allen.
i don't see much difference tbh when it comes to both teams philosophy on building out their roster.
anyway...no Donovan Mitchell and the Knicks are just fine.
Spida will end up in Brooklyn with Jimmy Butler.
Donovan Mitchell is a good SG, but not so great PG. He has never taken his team past the first round of NBA playoffs.
Knicks fans 🧡 are glad they didn't get Donovan Mitchell. The Knicks would be the same old bad team like the NY Jets.
The Cavs went too the second round this year jalen Brunson haven’t been past the second round since leaving Dallas
@@FatboyJo ok, you are right about the Cav. Don't forget Jalen Brunson has taken the Dallas Mavericks to the Western Conference finals about 3 years ago
Why are we acting like Brunson has been out of Dallas for 6 years lol? The Knicks were right there and lost every starter but Divincenzo to injury by the end.
@@Rodxyou that was luka jalen only took the Knicks too the second that it haven’t been the 2 round since leaving Dallas
Thomas Larry Lopez Robert Davis Matthew
Who gives a F about hypotheticals. Stick to realities.
So when GM think about trades what are they doing?
Y’all was never getting him in the first place Dodge a bullet😂😂😂
I honestly think if they had missed out on Brunson then they would have overpaid for Donovan, which would have made sense at the time, albeit probably a fumble in the long run. - Chris
When my Nets draft Cooper and maybe get Jimmy Butler too we’ll be better than y’all again
Lmfao

@@shisduhos5682 Only thing funny is y’all being contenders
Hoping to get the #1 pick & thinking he'll automatically hit & take you straight to the promise land is more of your delusional cap
Still the only person 👍 your comments is you it's really too funny 😂😅🤔😉🤪
