As a Westerner, the traditional music of LAOS,CAMBODIA AND THAILAND just fascinates me. There are some similarities as well as some differences. This song for instance, i could have easily mistaken it for THAILAND. I love the pinpeat orchestras from all three countries. I once visited CAMBODIA in 1969 while my military veteran father was on furlough. I heard Thai pop tunes and Cambodian style rock tunes. And then after that ran smack dab into a traditional Cambodian funeral procession.
