Alberta is like Texas, but with cooler, bluer skies. This walk is very relaxing. I'm not from Calgary, but I miss it.

@@TrangNguyen-sz6xh Alberta is the part of Canada where someone from Texas can be most comfortable. Both tend to be politically conservative and self-reliant, and we have oil, cattle and horses in common. The one thing Texas doesn't have is the Rocky Mountains. We're largely flat here, and the Canadian Rockys are simply God's country, without equal. Both places have their charms. Visit us and make the comparison yourself!

I should go back and visit, I was with the opening Crew for the Calgary Tower back in 1968. Chef Barry Jackson, Worked the summer of 1967 at Chateau Lake Louise. Great memories.

Wow, I heard stories that the downtown is one of the most dangerous areas there, but I'm happy it's wrong it looks amazing
I think there are some areas around downtown to avoid, just like any other places. But overall, we had a great walk that day.
I live and work downtown everyday. I walk alone everyday and night. I rarely feel unsafe.

My family and I used to live in Calgary. Last November, my parents went back to Calgary for 2 months, and usually, there is not much people on Sat and Sun. People are usually in the streets on the weekdays. As a Calgarian, I would highly recommend living in Calgary! It's a beautiful city with nice nature and good paying jobs!

Calgary sure has a nice downtown! that I find it to be so amazing to walk around in but damn it can be scary most of the times since there can be some kind of shit that will happen.
Like crimes that will happen over at downtown! that would either be some kind of crime happening like fights that I have seen over at the downtown mall over two people arguing
Over the money and even there was about two fights over at the city hall area and damn the area can also be scary with the homeless people that I would seen some of them.
Get arrested and I hear some of them throw a freak out which they sure can be crazy while I have even encountered some other crazy people over at downtown just screaming at the
Top of their lungs! like damn I do got to say it can be such a nice city but damn it sure can be crazy with the homeless people and the crimes that can happen over at downtown
And even it's amazing mall.
So nice seeing the streets clean of homeless drug addicts. Cant say the same for Victoria!!!

Lots of nice and beautiful spots are missing, especially the Bow river riverside which is a part of downtown.
Add Ex.: Peace Bridge, Prince's Island Park, and so on

I live in Calgary and work full time as a security supervisor. Advance to night time and the downtown look completely flips to a homeless drug den.
Left mayors/city councils + left policies = chaos, drugs and homelessness

Where is every body ? The city is vacant and abandoned to what it used to be. A concrete jungle so cold and lifeless.. Most likely because you can not afford to even park downtown.

Yeah downtown wasn't busy these days. But hopefully if we have incoming events like Calgary Stampede then it will bring the vibrant city life back!

Where is homeless people, where is the people which smoking and using drugs it s really dirty city specially in the downtown you feel like a zombie city you can't find normal people easily. Some of population are using drugs and normal people are full of stress therino life.
