Ublock was still working for me even with ver 130+ chrome but I am glad for this guide to extend it not just Ublock but my other extensions I use as daily drivers
Thanks for the clear explanation. Isn't it so that you also get a "managed by your company" message when you click the 3 dots menu in the top-right of chrome?
@@mikev324 they'll keep supporting it until google removes it from base chrome then be depend on build in ad blocker it's work but is not better, ubo will have a ubo lite but be limited what they can do
@@mikev324 I already replied to this message once but for some reason UA-cam did not save it. The developers of ublock origin have said repeatedly in posts on Reddit they are not going to continue development for mv2 on Chrome.
What is "use secure dns" used for? Googled it and seems to mainly be used by chrome to do a malware scan but also collect your data that way. I'm pretty sure windows defender or other AV's also scans chrome for malware.

Yes that is a possibility.
Is it safe to do it? Is there any possibility of creating some unexpected issues on the PC?
thanks dawg
Another year from which date?
To June, 2025 i think
From when the Extension is disabled.
As time goes by no adblockers will work on Chrome. Then it's time for Firefox.
Why do this if the development team is not going to keep the extension updated?
Where did uBO say they won't update? Other chromium browsers like Brave and even Edge at this point will keep supporting MV2.

any registry tweaks on Chrome and Edge like this could disable the toggle for "Use Secure DNS".

Best content so far! Thanks for this
Still a better option to switch to a better browser like Brave or Firefox
use thorium its chrome without the google disabling ublock origin or other features
Add blocks work perfect in opera
