After watching this for the 60th time I've finally figured it out. Matt has such a smooth and emotional voice and can convey that love for her so well, and Bonnie has that killer belting and range but also the ability to change her voice from soft and emotional to powerful in seconds, so they go together sooo well.
Bonnie please just take a little break from Kimberly Akino and join little shop with Matt please I beg of you

I just saw him, he was incredible in the role. The physicality, the line delivery, the facial expressions... everyone was great but he stole the show
His vibrato at "Pretend" gave me literal chills. He doesn't even have to belt it to make it genuine and beautiful

Bonnie is one of those artists where I will see any show she is in… she was the best thing in Head Over Heels and is just ASTONISHINGLY good in Kimberly Akimbo. Her voice is perfect, of course, but her acting is even better.

No one can be ellen Greene. Unique. And Audrey is hers, always. The revivals were awful, in spite of some good male names, especially hunter foster, jake, Doug sills, and the SNL guy.
Bonnie is fantastic here but Ellen IS Audrey.
