@@MC-kg8hm because my solar and house bank are large the boat will run the air conditioner for over a day without other power. So I never thought to look at the amp drain as I didn't know that I was on battery power till it shut down
@@kentwood2914 I don't know. I only used it on shore power. Sometimes when the shore power was out it was pulling 60+ amps at full load. As these electric motors are loaded up they draw more power and as the load goes down so dose the watts.

Our 17,000BTU unit draws 10.5A in 115v and 5.2A in 230V

Don't buy Velair. No warranty wont even ship parts. Will not respond to me or the boat manufacturer. New boat.
