7:32 Here, I am asking myself the same question after 23 years later. The USA is very stressful, and I don't know if I wanted to continue life like this, and I found this video of you, and it's very inspiring!
Ahhh enjoy being back in the Motherland. I do not miss the US at all and I grew up there until the age of 24. Right now I am in Tanzania but I plan on visiting Ethiopia soon. Salem.
Nishu, I remember those beautiful days in NGS, you and dagi acing basketball games and trainings, and we literally ran from our classes just to see you play & get inspired. Well fast forward, we played basketball in NGS till our senior year too! And i can speak you were one of the inspirations for us to start playing. & i am sure many followed this process even after we left. I can't believe to the woman you turned to. I am so proud of you. You have always been inspirational and still being one. I am sure the future holds better opportunities and challenges for you to overcome and become the woman you want. I am genuinely triggered by most of your videography skills. You unknownly put this motivation for many (for sure). Becha i can't emphasise your impact on us. May God be with you with every decision of your life. You are loved! (Please keep on doing these videos :) )
I’m really inspired by your story. I have had a dream to move back to Addis and starting a business after living abroad for year in the west, and make Addis my home again but haven’t made a move yet because of fear of what’s on the other side. Your story just reminded me again that my dream is still possible. Good on you and keep up the great work❤
For someone who’s 95% sure she wants to move to Addis, this was the perfect video lol. I can’t wait to watch more of your adventures. Truly inspirational🥰
Woooow I'm so impressed to bump into this channel, I think for an Ethiopian you are one of the kind, Ethiopian people tend to want stick to their community, their own people, not so open to other nations and cultures. I can fully relate to you desire going back home. As beautiful as western Countries are, there's nothing like Africa. With me it's Germany and I'm torn apart between Germany and my home country South Africa. I absolutely love the life you are aspiring to. Success is being happy, the life you live is spiritual. I love your country, I'm also aspiring for Ethiopia.
Oh gosh, I find some like me I left Texas after many years I'm back in my beautiful country Ethiopia. I use to own a business in texas worn out I work 16 hours so I said life is short I want to enjoy life I left everything behind here I'm in addis
But unless you have a U.S. or other powerful passport, traveling abroad for vacation is not going to be easy. You have to always apply 5-6 months ahead and go through a frustrating visa process to visit a single European country.
Just randomly happened upon your channel and I have to say that I’m very impressed. You have a wonderful spirit about you and you seem to showcase your travels in an engaging, wholesome manner. I’ve been traveling for about 25 yrs but never been to Africa… I think that after watching some of your videos that may change. Ha. All the best to you and keep making the great content! 👍
The life I am living now is what I manifested a year ago but watching you living your life in your own terms reminds me to prioritize me more and thank you for that 🙏🏾 you go girl am here to see your adventures 🤗
It’s good to be young and adventurous. I wish you existed 20 years ago. This would have inspired me. Now, with so many responsibilities, I have to think many times before I decide to move back to Addis. Enjoy your stay and keep doing what makes you happy.
You are so beautiful. I can't wait to visit Ethiopia. I have a friend from Shashemane. He's getting married. I hope he invites me. I know a lot about Ethiopia cultures. I'm so happy for you. You followed your heart.
May God bless your journey, keep writing, keep growing, u are courageous. It took courage and tears to leave my home , I cried for two weeks but today I am alive and my friends are all dead. To see that changing makes me happy and I wish u the best.
You are so underrated BTW, Growing up my father use to tell us all his travel stories and I feel like those memories are the sole reason i am wanderlust, Why i crave to travel so much. For when i have kids i will have stories to tell. respect how u decided to commit to travelling fulltime before settling down.
nishan, 5 great years in ethiopia and now I am in europe, wish you all the best! thank you for sharing your life with us .. I will definitely return for holiday or maybe even more .. only god knows .. my best! k.
You’re very brave for the decision you made and I really hope and wish for you all the happiness and adventures life has to offer from here on! ‘Why not Ethiopia?!’👌🏽
I just found your channel and I love your content! Just subscribed! This is beautiful and as a diaspora myself I am so happy to see others go back home. One thing I want to add is that it is not this easy for many. Finding a remote job that pays well and allows you to work anywhere in the world is hard, there are a few jobs that offer this option. The cost of living abroad is only cheap if you get paid in dollars or a similar currency. For those that work in Ethiopia, the cost of living is insane, even worse than in the US. Many are desperate to leave and will not hesitate if given the opportunity. Even doctors and engineers struggle to find jobs and live on their own. From the video, your living room, kitchen.. etc, I see that your quality of life is among the top 1% in Ethiopia and considered luxury living. Just something for viewers to keep in mind as most of the country is in poverty. I love Ethiopia so much and also plan on going back after I finish school to work for a nonprofit and to help others. But I know life there will not be as easy as it is here. I am all for others going back home and moving abroad as well but it is only easy if you land an extremely high-paying job or get paid in dollars.
Thank you for sharing that. I always wanted to work from Ethiopia as well but just worried about the internet connection. Can you please say few things about that part? What did you do differently to tacle that problem or is it not an issue anymore? Thank you
Love the video, but a quick suggestion if I may is to maybe lower the volume of the music so we can hear your beautiful voice more clearly. Otherwise, this was super interesting to watch ☺️
Very good! Good job for seeing your people and roots as priority to learn and develop before all others. I would strongly encourage you as your learning journey continues to figure out ways you can serve your community/country. Africa is full of things we need to build, fix, and modernize. It pains me when I go there to see things we can do to make every day life go smoother, but don’t because we’re comfortable with mediocrity. I plea with all of Africans/pan Africans to commit ourselves to make our continent work better and efficiently for everyone living living in it. None is coming to save Africa. The only others coming and have always come were those looking to exploit it. I tell my kids Europe/West is not built for you or built by people who sat around and did nothing. We should adapt the mind set of identifying issues, coming up with best possible solutions, implementing those solutions! PERIOD.
I feel as if all these vlogs I'm seeing are speaking to me and trying to tell me something. I'm going to travel to east africa, work from home, and live my life 🤞🏾🤎💚💜💙
You are living life on your own terms...I remember watching one of your first videos back in 2020 ..you came a long way and you got talent. Love the content, editing and message.
Nishan am happy to see you. Am happy you took this decision. You are living the "EXACT" life I want to live yemir basketball traveling photography menamen I watched this video attentively am proud of you. I can't wait to see more videos to explore Ethiopia with you
I love that you show all the beauty food and the love I our beautiful culture no one is like our beautiful people inside and out, it's too bad that the music/ sound it's really is a distraction.
Home is home and despite all our challenges Africa is still home. Plus your happiness and freedom is the most important luxury and not money and material things.
I have subscribed to your channel and its great to see you come back take your righteous place to build and hope you get out of working for someone creating business to grow.
Very inspiring video, Ethiopia is a wonderful place. But remember always keep your American citizenship it’s valuable. I intend to live in Ghana West Africa But I will never give up my American citizenship no matter where I live. But absolutely when I retire my money is going to go crazy far in Africa. That’s just some advice that way you keep all your bases covered. Even if you go back home to work sometimes half a year’s worth of work will probably generate enough income For you to use in Ethiopia for a couple years. I mean a very nice apartment probably run you about $500 a month. While in LA you could you can get a dump for $3000 a month and I’m talking about a little bitty one bedroom place. But at the end of day it’s refreshing to see a young woman so intelligent and having their head on straight.
I love how you gave me hope I am grade 10 student at LCCS and your videos I love how you express everything from your own perspective 🥰🥰we need alot more talk videos 💓

I feel like that always or all time which I never escape from it... I think the 5/2 working schedule is not for all, personally I prioritize my freedom. Nowadays you are not only get paid for just what you have done but also for freedom you lost, that you have got naturally and has no cost for it. Sometimes decision is not that simple. Please I need your advice on these. I am from Ethiopia & I am working on IT related jobs.
I just came from Ethiopia for the last 3 months I have been to the north but know nothing about the south what places do you recommend. I hope to come back in March.
