The best thing I did was block on everything straight away so I didn't have to see things I didn't want to see on social media. Especially as there definitely was a crossover period between me being broken up with and a new girlfriend being on the scene. Seeing them on my timeline made me physically sick which was gross lol. Luckily nearly 3 years on, I am in a lovely, healthy relationship with the kindest boy ever and have been for nearly a year so it will get better and you will get over it!! I can't believe I was ever in such a state over such a repulsive human who stood for everything I hate.

Sending lots of love!!💗As someone who got dumped 5 mo ago (my 1st relationship), I felt the numbness throughout the video, especially when seeing the footage from Italy ... I was in a similar position when I got dumped, with this "fantastic" idea of traveling somewhere new to escape the situation in hopes it would be this empowering solo-trip away... but unfortunately, yeah, I kinda just dipped in and out of melancholy, misery, hope, anger and just feeling okay. All the things I was intending to marvel at became washed out and mundane because I was enduring one of the worst emotional upheavals of the human condition (plus being alone in a foreign country and watching other people enjoy themselves doesn't help!). The whole thing is horrid and confusing to navigate, and there's no one "healing" formula that fits all. However, time will heal, I know it's a cliché but it will, mark my words. Make sure not to "force" your healing or worry that it's "taking too long". Attempting to block them out will make them reappear later, even stronger. I learned it's best to let the emotions come and go as they please for as long as they need. That led to my acceptance.💗💗💗

Keeping yourself busy and distracting yourself with company is SO important during a breakup, however it's also important that you take time to yourself. Having alone time to grieve and process is also integral to healing. A balance of both are super important :)
