  • Here we see the BSA R10 Mk2 back at the range testing four different pellets at 50 yards. This time the rifle stock has been tightend up and the power increased slightly to what it was in the previous 50 yard pellet test. After the four way pellet test I choose the two best pellets out of the four for a shoot off.

    Fantastic 5p in mind of target just notes the sand bag
    I may have a go at that
    I have one of the little bags for the back cant get away with it and to be honest I have move from a sand bag at the front to a bipod and I am finding it harder so I will give your set up a go keep keeping my friend

      Yes, unless you are in the prone position it does help to have a support under you shouldered arm. It just helps to decrease movement when breathing. Even a cushion is a good alternative to help reduce movement and heart rate pulse

    Nice shooting Mark, when you go to the range, do you normally go early in the morroning, and is that just to try and avoid the wind, 👍👍.

    • @airgunsniper-elite7385
      @airgunsniper-elite7385  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, the early morning starts are to help beat the wind. We learned as paratroopers that the best time for parachuting was early morning between midnight and 7 am in the morning that the winds would generally be in our favour. Once the Sun heats the ground up it creates the wind. We got blown around more than the pellets do though.

      Airgun Sniper-Elite Thanks for the prompt reply Mark, never even give it a thought heat from the sun, creating wind, OK sleep well, and thanks again 👍👍.

    Is that a 2.2? Wondering if you can get the r10 mk 2 in a 2.2??

      All pellets used were .177. I believe it comes in either 22 or 77

    The road traffic noise is loud on your vids does it sometimes effect your concentration

      You get used to the road noise, unless a motorbike or speeding car goes down the A610. It's a dual carrageway and about 200 yards to the right of our range across a football field.

    was there any wind

    • @airgunsniper-elite7385
      @airgunsniper-elite7385  4 роки тому +1

      No. Not this time, although it will probably have picked up a little later as the wind warmed the ground up. That's why I like to get down early in the morning.

    Good session i would zero the rifle as your grouping are good....count your shots.

    • @airgunsniper-elite7385
      @airgunsniper-elite7385  4 роки тому +1

      I try to count, but find it hard to focus all the time. I suffered from a blood clot on the brain and it effected my frontal lobe, which is all about short term memory. The slightest distraction fucks my count up.

    Knew it , rangemaster sovs come on top ... Good groups from good shooting .. there even good in .20 ... ( Not so much in a .177 barrel though , bit of a tight squeeze ) ... At last .... I got something right ...
    OK the barracudas we're good , but not quite AS good ... , But as Si Pittaway said in one of his vids , H&N have a notoriously weight differential ... That could make an whole lot of difference .. couldn't it??

    • @airgunsniper-elite7385
      @airgunsniper-elite7385  4 роки тому +1

      It was the best I could do. I am the spanner in the works though. I used to be really fit, but my heart rate definitely has an effect on the outcome. Thirty years ago the groups would be half the size of what they are now, but then again, the rifles weren't as good as they are now days. Mainly springers and a few good pcps.

      We are at the Burnam Sports ground, although you need your own shooting liability insurance. BASA BASC etc. You can come down as an invited guest and if you like it and there are places at the start of the year you can join with a one off annual payment of around £80 with nothing else to pay. It's a private club rather than a public range. If you are interested let me know. We have shooters there 7 days a week at different times of the day.
