I'm officially in the Eurovision mood when I have the feeling I will be disappointed when a certain song doesn't win in a national final ! I've played "La Poupée monte le son" so much it's been dominating my Christmas feeling 😅 I so want to see this on teh big stage ! I predict a top 5 overall if the staging is great !
3:10 Hahaha, that was me 😄 What makes it a possibility is that the song was given to her, everyone else seems to at least have been involved in their song. Basically, she received a text message saying: "Hey, I have a song for the ESC. Do you want to sing it?" At first I thought that the person got it mixed up with Mäna, but her song was written by her and two others (don't know their names right now) for last year's LSC. Maybe they thought an hommage to Lux 1965 would be a great way to come back (IF they indeed already submitted it last year)? Fun fact: We could get a song in (partly) French from all three Benelux-countries. 9:04 Are you okay? 😆 13:05 Here, the least points a song can get is 4, so all points are 5-digits (unlike, for example, Latvia where the points are less spread out due to ten songs getting 0)
Gimlo thinks La Poupée Monte Le Son would be a decent addition to any Eurovision lineup, but it definitely isn't changing Gimlo's life like JE! DANSE! 🕺🕺🕺 It being a reference/response to a previous Luxembourgish winner is very nifty though 😌
We have the same winner I think she's the best option for Luxembourg and if they get drawn like 2nd half I think they can qualify easily with Belgium in the same semi final maybe giving them 10 or 12 points and get well soon 🙏
I don't think the lyrics of La poupée are particularly original. In fact, there's several songs that are built around this idea. Italian classic "La bambola" ("The doll") by Patty Pravo from 1968 even has some of the same imagery. However, what makes it fun is the ironic references to its ancestor: it's knowing and self-aware, but without coming across as insincere or studied
Like last year, nothing stands out to me. But after your comments, I undertood why La poupée monte le son is the favourite. I should like it more, because I am biased for certains languages. Until now, for me it lacks something. Maybe after the stage I will change my mind.
I just need them to send a song in French from an artist whose name starts with L. I'd be perfectly content with either of them.
I feel like luxembourg's identity should be pure nostalgia in the most modern possible way. Rooting for Laura Thorn!

I would love to see Laura or Luzac being up there 🙏🖤
Get well soon, great video as usual!
🙏🏻
Laura’s song was my fave from first listen of all songs. Would love to see this go to Basel! ❤
There's a fine line between nostalgic and dated, and Laura's song strikes the balance 🥰
Yessssssss
And again, we have the same winner! You're somehow really my bro, for sure!
Je danse was also written by Edsun who came 7th in lsc last year I believe.
