I was watching this video last night and this seems to be an excellent field course. I spend a lot of time every summer based out of the Green River Lakes Campground, both as a camper and campground host. The August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse was awesome from the shores of the lake. As Campground Host during that event I had a front row seat. I have hiked every trail available there and climbed almost every major peak surrounding the lakes (Osborne, Big Sheep, Gypsum, Mill Creek, Lost Eagle, White Rock, etc) We have been there when your program stops by for a few days. However, myself and others do have a couple of issues. Your drone operation is illegal within the Bridger Wilderness boundaries. While impressive, when you are up Clear Creek at the Natural Bridge and White Rock Thrust you are obviously in violation. I know the law enforcement officer for the Pinedale Ranger District and he takes a very dim view of drones and regularly issues citations. Additionally, when you are there you tend to use Campsite #8 as base camp. You are also in violation of campground rules as you regularly exceed the number of personnel and vehicles allowed per campsite. For the numbers of students you have and support vehicles you should use one or more of the 3 reserveable group campsites where 35 campers per site are allowed. Please use these in the future to avoid complaints from other campers, which have been received. This is a very special place to many of us that spend a lot of time there and it is bothersome to see those violating campground and wilderness rules which are plainly posted at the campground and trailhead entrances. I know your intentions are genuine and I love the geology of the area and would love to go on your walks. The students must be enthralled as I am as I have set foot on all the places in your video. But please be aware of the rules that are in place to make the place better for all visitors. I find this paper quite interesting. It is an oldie but a goodie. I'm sure you have seen it. pubs.geoscienceworld.org/gsa/gsabulletin/article-abstract/57/6/565/4128/GEOLOGY-OF-THE-NORTHWESTERN-WIND-RIVER-MOUNTAINS?redirectedFrom=fulltext

He was into doing his own thing.
I want to apply in you university how I can??? I am from nepal and the student of geology in tribhuwan university .... Waiting for your reply?? And what are the criteria to apply??
hello this is ubaid shaheen from pakistan student of BS geology at Malakand University . Sir i m really impress from this vidio and your work and wanna learn more from u would u plz help me and may i have your email plz Sir.
Wrong. Incredible education going on here. Probably more analogous to being thrown in the deep end after a year of swimming lessons from Olympic level instructors! These students have all already taken 5-9 geology courses and are ready for this fantastic course and life experience! What these budding, young scientists learned here is obviously way beyond your comprehension.
Reminiscing my field camp experience in Montana. The hardest 5 weeks of my entire geology career.

So, not much education going on, more like teaching swimming by throwing them in the deep end of the pool. Not impressed.
