Its Kryz's acting for me 😂
Oscar award goes to... hahaha
Bigyan ng jacket yan😂! HAHAHHA ang kyut lang🤭💖.
napa uy ako bigla may bumagsak haha
hhahahaha so tru!, sobrang aliw. I had to replay it over and over again hahahaha
Kryz' acting it is 😂 pang Oscars 🤣
For future reference, this should be included na in the Construction drawing package under detail drawings prior to construction. All concrete ledges must have this detail called out. I think this metal drip mould is more effective if the angle bar is placed downward the concrete and may sealant nalang. Pero all in all this is a very helpful video.
I hit replay at 3:38 multiple times 🤣😂🤣😂 not just a classy and elegant wife but also a very supportive and wacky one🥰. Bigyan na ng acting award yan! Kryz is the best!!! 😍👍👍👍
It's a work in progress, very informative for me, even though I'm already an Architect I still learn time to time. Architecture and Engineering is an unending process of learning.. It never really ends.
They use high pressure cleaner here with added special chemical products if it’s too hard to clean…and brushing is not necessary ,with adjustable extensible holder so you can spray or clean at certain height and u don’t have to climb up , from 8 m height or higher ..They have special products that stay around 6 months or 1 year and your house is treated and protected from different types of moss, algae ,stains from rain and humidity etc..That is very common here in the north of France..;)
This is why I subscribed to this Man, he gives us vlogs that are full of information, unlike other UA-camrs out there na puro patawa wala nman kwenta.
I'm a bit skeptical on this solution btw. The stain is caused from where a lot of water flows from a specific area of the concrete roofing. Not only that, the Drip Edge design is different from a Angle bar. If you can compare its design, you can see that there's another slope at the bottom of the Drip Edge, which is to ensure that since water tends to sway when it flows especially when there's a wind blowing, then that bottom would help to flow away the water from touching the concrete wall. My free advice is to find a solution first to create a water way on the top so that all water from your concrete roof deck will flow there. The design would kinda look like a 1-inch X 2-inch concrete bumper on the edge of the concrete to ensure that the water won't overflow, and then another design with it is that would be a small shallow concrete gutter near that bumper so that there will be a flow for the water. My next advice is to use Z-bar instead of the Angle Bar.
I agree to this one...I mean why not just collect the rainwater instead right?
I agree with this or even U-Bar or pvc will do.
Couldnt agree more
I like the builtup gutter system on this style house
gutter is ban here, breeds mosquito .
i dont mind those streaks or water marks, patina on surfaces over time and imperfections makes a house a home. there is certain nostalgia and coziness that it brings! i dont know if i make sense, as im sounding weird right now. but dats only for my opinion
Yeah same and i think it gives beauty somehow ☺️
Same. I need to my house is a white house 😅
You’re not alone. My dream house is ruin inspired one. I want it with mossy walls, broken pillars, vines, busted ceiling where rain drops can enter, with lots of foliage, but with modern interior. I want the exterior part of the house to blend in with nature. “Organic” they say.
@@AJ-kq6zw omg we can be neybors hehe. ur putting my thoughts into words. im a fan of japanese wabi sabi. exterior ruins woth simple lines and just pure all white interior surroynded with greeneries. dats my happy place.
Same! That was my idea in the first place that’s why d namin nilagayan dati but medjo nasobrahan na 😅
Grabe your dedication!! Always happy to see how excited you get about your little projects. It goes to show just how passionate you are about what you're doing. Like you're doing this because you want to help or you know there are people like you out there who get excited about the same things. Love love love both you and Kryz. Sana dumami pa ang mga katulad nyong UA-camrs who put out helpful content.
I also use that builder's bond glue. Say goodbye to drilling holes and screws.
How much po ung nsa tube?
Kryz‘s acting again 💯
You can ask your local roof supplier to customize pre-bended G.I. sheets for drip edge :-)
a good water repellent application for concrete would also do the job in preventing those water marks chief!🥱💯
Highly recommended.
Sa mga nangangarap katulad namin... someday...one day magk bahay din kame!
Kada video nya worth it... worth your time.
Slater is putting so much effort in every video and that's the reason why he deserve to be watched. So educational and and high quality content. Never pa ako hindi nanood ng vids mo sir every upload click kaagad hahaha kahit wala pa akong sariling bahay 😅 no space for pucho.x content, salute to you sir and your fam. God bless
Dko maintndhan kung bkt meron pang nag dislike sa content na 2 very informative naman xa hay buhay Kept uploding sir
pls make your tagline "see you guySLATER" instead of "see you slater"
I subbed coz this made me watch til the end. I never knew I have this high interest in building construction. It’s like a stress reliever watching this kind of stuff😅
*3:40** this advance level of acting deserves an Oscar*
😂😂😂
As an architect, I am impressed. Thanks, bro.
Another thing to use to prevent this is by putting a drip mould.
I love your show, they have a lot of tidbits on construction, a subject I love, our business is in real estate and constructing as well. Many people will find your tips helpful and you so present them in a funny and light hearted manner.
Some other designers put moulding on top of their parapet/zocalos/upstand that is to prevent water dripping in the edges. The upper surface of zocalos must be sloping inside.
Many many ways to solve the same problem
@@thatguyslater kaya nga Sir. It also depends on client preference & design intent.
Slater’s content is sooo unique! Im always excited to watch new uploads even if I am not an archi or engineer lol. I think that it is the fun part because of those “details” that always made me say “aah ganon pala yon”. Kudos to you Sir (salute)
A donkiss baby watching Slater's vlog? TASTE

amazing, the sealant really worked on that brick wall
Grabe yung unexpected trigger ng fear of heights sa 08:00 ish. But great video! 👍 so informative and direct to the point.
3:38 *No Kryzzies and Skybear were hurt during the making of this video* 😂😂😂
Those streaks are a beauty...
Helpful content + Kryz acting = CHEF'S KISS
Hi slater, with an angle bar I am 100% sure that the water will still crawl to the wall finish. U-channel will be the better solution. when it comes to design naman talaga eh that will be the downside of strong concrete edges un maintenance nya. and to those commenting about the ledges po, meron naman different approach dun. may drip moulds or grooves po tayo. Thanks!
Watching from the UK and enjoying your content. Respect!
I see thay Kryz has uploaded a video 30 minutes before you 😂 Gonna watch that too. 🤍 Skyfam
Love the special participation of Kryz hahaha
wow! thank you for this. I sure would let my house workers try it. It was, and is the problem of my house....
The builders bond is the same product we have here in Canada, we call it PL glue, I repair cement stairs with it, it is very good, but you put too much on the brick that's why it wasn't dry and you have to spread it on all the brick and put some on the surface where you want to glue the brick or other items and spread it too.
btw, the bond and glue you bought might not stick properly if you stick it on a painted concrete. It defends on the paint if it is not going to get off. But I think it will last a bit longer as long as it won't be bothered. Paints on concrete can get off when we put on something on it especially heavy things. But I think that is lightweight so it can be. Construction workers always forgets to remove paint first before doing anything. Like my fence and concrete yard, the workers did not remove the paint on my walls, that is why the floor of yard did not connect to the walls of my house, there is spaces and gaps and it became harboring of insects and also it gets rain water. They also did not remove paints on the sides of the house before connecting additional concrete fences therefore water is passing it. Simple mistakes is a very big problem. SO I suggest before putting anything on painted concrete make sure you remove the paint first and clean it properly. Same when we put on some stick on container on walls and it is just a stick on, when it is heavy the paint gets off and the stick on falls off.
You can make a drip edge out of Pre-Painted Galvanized Iron Mouldings. Just specify the bends.
this is really helpful! Thanks Slater! ituloy tuloy mo lang yan and huwag mo ng pansinin mga bashers dun sa HB. 💖atleast ikaw helpful and spreading positive vibes. 🤟
This is super helpful, we are finishing a modern home and definitely going to do this.
Beautiful house ! And great ideas
@3:37 hahahaha best performing actor in supportive role
Slater is very smart👍
I guess it will help if you will score a shallow line under the aluminum angle bar halfway of its width like a water stop to prevent the water from touching even if its not bend downward. Just a suggestion. Similar to water breaks of a canopy but just a smaller version.
slater ages like fine wine
the skit always gets me. its always so random 🤣
3:38 this made me laugh ! Kryz is just soo cute in this vid! God bless you and your family! :D
Big brain move! 💡
I watched kryz's acting for like 5 times 🤣🤣🤣 cuteeeee
Thank you for the builder's bond recom! I've been looking for an adhesive like that👍As for the wall stains, I use pressure washer pero be cautious with the setting baka pati yung cement makalas..
Pls discuss which is the best kitchen cabinets to use? Laminated? Marine ply? Etc
Bat naman ganun Mommy Kryz hahaha very cutie. I think ito yung ipapabudol ko kay Mom since modern type house din amin hahah. Thanks you idol
Try applying Buildrite Silox 101 on your concrete wall. It repels mold build up. May nilagay din na emulsion yung painter namin on our planter boxes para wala algae build up.
As usual, well thought of contents Sir! Thank you for these kinds of content!
Hoping you make video about the most effective DIY waterproofing esp. slab roofing / firewalls.
Hi Slater, there's a Norwegian brand of architectural paint that can help you get rid of that perennial problem. This paint is currently not available to big home improvement stores but I can help you order it for yourself so you can use it to other projects as well
I love the approach you took to solve the water stain problem - was thinking of doing the same for my in-laws' house kasi pareho yung garage roof nila na walang overhang. Just one observation though - did you use aluminum angle bars or the steel ones? My concern is that if its ordinary steel, it will rust over time. I would probably paint with epoxy primer first then a top coat that matches the color of their wall.
Ang cute ni ate Kryz and Scottie 🥺💗 Thank you for sharing this po kuya Slater, I’m looking forward to try this with my parents house kase yan din po talaga problem namin👏🏻🥲✨
When you have a hubby who loves to take care of your house to turned it into a home nd his personal touch was the one he use it is a big help not to spend so much more bcoz he knows how nd what to do evdn if your hubby isn't rich like mr slater having a lot of interest some skills about the house really helps to ease the wife's burden .
we appreciate ur editing slater 👍🏻
Brilliant solution
Eto talga yung masasabi mong quality content
the best ulit-ulitin ung "acting part" ni Ms. Kryz 😂 best actress of the year!
Tanda ko crush na crush ko to si slater nung sa pbb pa. Subrang bait kasi and talagang napaka haba ng pasensya. Napaka totoong tao nito and ang galing makipag kapwa tao, antagal na nun, boti na lang Lumabas to habang nag scroll scroll lang ako sa UA-cam🙂 Hi po🙋♀️, fan mo pa din ako hanggang ngayon and you are worth to subscribe po😊
Engr! You might need sunblock or even a hat hehe. Ask your wifey for recommendations.
Yes, he has sun damage spots on his face
@@sinigangnasalmon7532 kaya nga need to take care of it :) mahirap na.
Eto din yung sabi ko last time sa comment 😅 pansin ko din kasi habang tumatagal, nagiging visible na talaga yung sun damage ni kuya Slater - need niya/nila talaga mag sunscreen palagi lalo't puro bintana yung bahay nila 🙁 pasok na pasok sa loob ng skypod yung UVA and UVB
Great content, totally can relate, same issues with our house. Hope you can feature pros and cons of having a roofdeck! Thanks
Great hack. Was thinking, if you used the U channel, you could put in LED strips and your house may look really neat!
Nice sir that bond was so very strong enough i'll try it thank you.
Great alternative to drip edges!
Always a quality content sir! You deserves a million subs😎👌
Thanks for sharing engineer slater 👌
Pansin ko lg. Plain shirt laging suot ni Sir Slater.. So simple.
Have you tried applying oleophobic concrete sealer? It can really repel water-related stains.
Yes, a water base sealer can do tamang tama, at Para hindi Manilaw kc water base sya,
Smart move sir slater 😎,
I just hope if possible that you will find more wider depth of angle bar so when the rain come stronger, for sure the water will touch the concrete the same..🙂
so much effort in your videos!!! keep it up slater ✨
Grabe ka perfectionist ug OC👏❤️
Thanks kuya slater! Nice idea. Same problem with our bldg. will try your idea 😊
Drip edge is the way to go for that!
You’ll just need to trim the edges so that the drip edge is flushed with the rest of the slab!
I see this a lot here in a phil ☺️ especially with our clients! ☺️
He mentioned early in the video na wala po siyang mahanap na drip edge. If you know a local supplier, i think your input would be more helpful.
@@saffronsayshi610 baka nabasa din lang nya :D

Kyrz's acting is superb! 😅🤣Kataw anan kaayo!!!😅😅
Very helpful, thank you for sharing‼️❤️
You should consider anti fungi exterior paint. What happened here is a good learning experience for a young architect or engineer who has less experience in construction industry
I am really inspired by your videos sir Slater!☺️
Indeed informative and worthy yo watch. Keep it up sir, God bless your growing family! ☺️✨
Metal flashing and drip edges should really be implemented more in the Philippines. It's ironic that most of North America that receives less rainfall that the Philippines are so keen on directing water away, but its probably due to the wood construction.
Great video as always. But actually, the stain gives the patina of the bare concrete which makes it more visually adaptive & ‘coherent’ to the surrounding environment, what it’s been thru or in that case-the climate we have here. And will give the structure a more ‘honest’ look which i think adds more value to the property..if this makes sense to u. :))
now on my way to purchase angle bar.. 😅
got same problem ever since 😅
Ang galing.. very informative!!👏👏👏
I learned something new today. Great job silingan. Haha 😄
Ang galing ni wifey, nasayaw nung nalaglagan ng aluminum angle bar. Hahaha
Pressure washer lang yan. Mayroon din elastoseal clear at sana naka incline ng kaunti para drip sa isang section yung water.
Thank you 😊 Engr!
I have the same problem sa bahay namin. Thank you for this. Try ko rin gawin sa bAhay. ❤️
Dapat nilagyan mo nalang ng kanal sa taas u shape tapos ang tubig aagos sa malayo, or try nito bond mas madikit, or bison kit
Thank you kasi hindi ka cringe panoorin. subbed my dude
