It was 11 degrees last night in Cincinnati. Doing research on how to survive during a power outage. Thinking about moving there from Florida this summer.
Not saying the power never goes out, but it's rare here in Mason. It usually only happens during ice storms and only for a few hours. I would want an alternate heat source for an emergency--like a gas or wood burning fireplace.
Wow! A foot of snow is definitely unusual. Our weather certainly keeps you on your toes. I do try to always dress in layers and keep gloves around as soon as it starts to cool off.

You are not wrong about that. Tampa will always be more sunny and warm than Cincinnati. Some winters here are much longer than others. But hey, at least it’s not Cananda, right?
@B. Schmidt I cannot say you are wrong about that. Personally, I love it like this. I like to eat breakfast outside and lunch and dinner and well, pretty much I just want to be outside all the time. But I also have a pool that is amazingly comfortable right now. But when I have to be dressed up and go places, it’s not as awesome.

I remember the day after Thanksgiving in 2013, Cincinnati had a foot of a snow. I was totally unprepared for that , a first for me!

Is Cincinnati too humid?
Too humid? We do have humid days, but it's usually not constant like it is in the South East.
