I always walk past my math teacher's classroom before lessons start. We exchange smiles every morning and honestly this song is what goes through my mind.
I first heard this song on the Super Trouper album which I got when I was 10 yrs old and I've lived it ever since. I'm now 49 yrs old. I never get tired of listening to Their music
I am a teacher and I know many pupils would have liked to kiss me in all these years. You can tell their crush. I makes me feel thankful. It´s an idilic love.
@@supergirlysofia3054 I said it in an innocent way. When I was a student I had crushes with some teachers. It is just pure and innocent. If you think about it in another way it´s YOUR PROBLEM.
@@LauRa-re9un It isn't my problem, maybe students might have innocent crushes on teachers, but if fully grown adults are not only OK with it, but they promote it and don't discourage it, something weird is going on, period.
@@supergirlysofia3054 I never said I promoted it, I don´t even know why I posted that, it was 2 years ago and it had to do with that video and only with that. Get over it.
Hehe, this song makes me think of one of my teachers who is just nom. I can't help but smile when I hear this and imagine myself singing this in his lesson doing like, a cabaret version of this.
I always have mixed emotions each time I listen to ABBA's songs. in 1975, I was in the 3rd grade, and these songs absolutely meant so much to me.... they bring back memories of my late parents to me and my unforgettable childhood while I was in the Netherlands
This is my absolute favorite song. And the funny thing is: It relates to me! Of course, I have never kissed my teacher, but the song mentions "the laws of geometry". There are four people in ABBA, and when I took geometry, there were only four people in my class, including me! Seriously, I'm telling the truth. (Sorry for any confusion. I had to post this comment twice because it wouldn't appear on my profile the first time.)
@@bradbrown5781 I did not "come up with it", ffs. It was a class in a small private middle school that had a very small student population to begin with. Most of the thirteen of us in our grade were put into Algebra, but I and three other students were put into Geometry instead because of advanced marks in math. In case you didn't know, some private schools, especially gifted centers, actually are that small enrollment-wise.
Two things. One, my first experiences with this song were when I was maybe 7 or 8 years old and cringed at the thought of kissing anyone, but now I can REALLY enjoy this song. And two, I always misheard one of the first lyrics - I heard "they had never seen the teacher _but she_ looked like a fool", implying that it was gay, which at the time, I barely even questioned. Didn't know how gay I was back then, but welp.
Omg I shouldn´t listen to this song! Cause it makes me want so much to actually kiss my (male) teacher who is teaching me about the laws of physics! I´ve a crush on him...

Just put aside our PC age for a moment. Of course it's wrong for a teacher to have an affair with a student. But the point of this great song is whether we like it or not students do have crushes on their teachers. I did. Miss Williams, RE teacher. A lovely young lady who simply was a babe ❤️ There's a term for all this, it's called ( Growing Up). There is absolutely nothing wrong with this song, it's sweet.
i have had a very friendly relationship with several of my teachers, some from grade school, others from middle school, and a third bunch from high school.
This kind of experience is nothing surprising. I used to teach physics lab at an university & it almost happened to me. I had one female who would come so close to my face nose to nose. Many students especially women need help in the hard sciences.
Why.... why... why God... why did u send me to this earth in the 2000's, should hv been there when Frida kissed the teacher and I'll be the cheering friend and sing along... KISSED the teacher!!!!
I wasn't born when ABBA was a group, I'm from 2005! I really love ABBA though, these songs will never die!!
I'm glad a new generation is appreciating their music.
@ I think as the generations go on, ABBA's music will always be appreciated.
I'm happy to see this song crossing generations......I first listened to it when I was in the 6th grade.

I just love Abba best band from the 70", they Rock, I can't wait for Mamma Mia 2 come out in theaters, love me some Colin Firth.
I am from 2003, but ABBA’s songs are so good, legend never overtime
Honestly we are so lucky to have ABBA In our lives

When you have crush on your teacher :
Exactly me
A simpler era back then in the late70's and early 80's. Now, if this happened, all hell would break loose!
hence male teachers operating the Billy Graham/Mike Pence Rule...

I loved this song since the first time I bought the "Arrival" album long ago. I never understood why it never was one of Abba's greatest hits.
I used to love singing this song for no reason. Today I just realized I'm now engaged tk a teacher so I can finally vibe with it

It probably was problematic when it first came out (can’t imagine what reactions came from the US -cough cough-)
It was problematic when it was released lmao, damn Swedish weirdos

Lyrics saying she then he confused?
Abba is singing he and in mamma mia 2 it's she
