Marigold Scientific name Tagetes erecta L. or localized name. Major Marigolds or American Marigolds Originated from Mexico. South America The local people used to worship the gods. Before the leader of the species in Europe. Originally only yellow. It is called Mary's Gold and then changed to Marigolds.
