Ask the mod developers. They were the ones who made the chain reaction in the first place. The unmodded version of Legacy doesn't have that issue.

Much respect for anyone who got good at this game. I own a copy but found it incredibly difficult to play without absolute focus on micromanaging the hell out of the ships because the AI teammates are inconsistent and poorly designed. I never even finished the TOS era part of the campaign. It's a shame because I quite like what it does well, but it's so frustrating mechanically.
I hear you Ignore the BS Campaign just do the battles I grew up on the original TREK just enjoy
Perhaps a Section 31 Rigel vs. a mix of Talshiar and Obsidian Order?
I have my copy of Legacy installed on Windows 10. After installing the game itself, I installed all three patches that you can find on the website My Abandonware (then the mods) and it works perfectly (except the lag issue of course and the game doesn’t like you playing as very specific ships: mine crashes when I try to control Borg Diamonds). Maybe people who’re having issues arent downloading the patches? Otherwise I have no idea, because I’ve encountered literally 0 issues.
How do set these mods and battles up I have the game but I can't figure it out
I love the idea of this game but the A.I and the homing torpedoes plus targeting are so glitchy. Hoping someone competent can do a modern remake!
