May God strengthen your dad and heal him completely, And be your mom’s comfort and peace through it all. Blessings to you and your family always. We appreciate you! Sending hugs
So sorry to hear about your dad! Being in the "sandwich" phase of life isn't easy. And I swear, no one is starting the year off strong! I had a week of vertigo and now I'm dealing with a cold and double pink eye. Never had pink eye before! I turn 40 in Feb and I think the universe is like "I have some things to check off my list of things you need to experience before then." Hang in momma! We will survive!
Lydia, happy new year! My dad had a stroke when he was 60. It's hard, but they usually get a lot better. Take care of your mom above all. Mothers do EVERYTHING.
I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I pray he is better, soon. My husband will be 72 and I, 70 in April so we are probably your parents age judging by your age and our “children’s “ ages. We have been where you are with both sets of our parents and now we are the seniors and facing those same years as your parents are . I’m so thankful for God’s love and blessings He has given to us. I love you and have always appreciated your content. You are precious! ❤
I look forward to your videos. You are counted as a friend to me. Most of my work friends slowly faded away when I became disabled. I have no friends per say and I feel quite isolated most of the time. Thank you for being a friend. 🎉❤
Oh, Lydia. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. My dad had a stroke in 2004 at age 60. I was still nursing my youngest, she wasnt even a year old and I had 3 other children. I am the oldest and only girl so I immediately became my parents support person. Those "sandwich" years were very trying. My heart goes out to you. ❤
You're amazing! I can barely get MYSELF out the door never mind kids or anyone else. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. It is so hard when our parents get older. Mine are in their 80's and still going strong but yikes.
So sorry to hear about your Dad! Here's hoping that your Dad has a good recovery and that God gives your Dad, Mom, you and your entire family strength and guidance as he heals. Many prayers.
I appreciate the love for your dad that came through you describing him! You are a lovely woman! Praying for your dad. Praying as you navigate this transition time of parenting your children and being a child of aging parents. Glad you have Jesus to carry you!
I feel so much of this deeply. Right there with you with aging parents + raising kiddos. It’s just hard. Wishing you strength and calm and peace in the process. Also, thank you for your comment about the mess of face washing!! Finally someone gets it! I literally switched to micellar water and face cloths because I couldn’t deal with the puddles 😂🤦♀️
You looked gorgeous! Just lay your worries at the foot of the cross from one mom to another your doing an amazing job! I wish I had you to look up to when I was your age, this to shall pass, just go to the hospital as much as you can, bring food/snacks to your mom encourage her to take care of herself, call your parents a lot! Parents tend to lie and say they don’t need anything and can handle it, which maybe true but just knowing your kids are there for them is important!
What all do you put in your homemade little bites? I've made them with Kodiak cakes pancake mix, but I feel like it would be so much cheaper to make my own mix and add protein powder!
You, Lydia, are an insightful, informative, silly, honest, warm, caring, faithful, wonderful human❤😀. Thank you.
That is so kind of you to say!
Saying prayers for your dad‘s recovery and with you juggling everything!
I feel this 1000% about the parents
