- In West Virginia, in high valley of the Allegheny Mountains you’ll find Helvetia, West Virginia. Helvetia, West Virginia. It’s a small village that was settled by Swiss and German immigrates in 1869. It’s located in Randolph County West Virginia. It’s isolated and remote, and yet people from all of the world visit Helvetia. In this video, we land in Helvetia West Virginia by complete accident. We had an amazing meal, and we’re taking you with us! We begin at West Virginia’s Highest State forest, Kumbrabow.

We stayed at Kumbrabow State Forest in a rustic cabin. While exploring the area, we also stumbled upon Helvetia. It was amazing! Lunch at the Hutte was wonderful.
