History, and the stories of your Elders are so very important - no matter where you are from! Thank you so much yet again, I would love to visit your Nation one of these days!
@@dandan9840 Exactly! I love listening to their stories of the past, when the land was green! Before the white man robbed them of their lands and still refuse to give it back!
I Lived in Arizona my whole life haven’t been up much North but knowing the correct history is very important to me and I thank you for sharing you’re people’s knowledge.
@@GabrielPalomino. Honestly, I love listening to their history! It's so informative and we think we are so clever but we are just ignorent of history in the "New World"....
Thank you, Wally. I especially enjoy when you knit together the lore and wisdom of the elders and holy people with the outdoor places. There is no beauty quite like the home of the Din'e.
I have always been interested in history. It wasn't until college that I had a wonderful professor who taught us a lot of unvarnished history and the plight of Native Americans and African slaves. It opened my eyes to a number of things, and hit home because my half brother was part Penobscot. Thank you Wally for sharing and keeping this knowledge alive.
What breathtaking scenery in the background. Nice land you have. I imagine that you had more in the past. I admire you sir? You are an asset to your people whether you know it or not. I congratulate your reading in your native language. Would love to visit your land, and be apart of your traditions and customs.
If you can give a tour of Canyon de Chelly, and maybe talk a little about the place. I have never been there, but I would like to see it at some time Especially where the peach trees used to grow.
I am Dine' living in SW Missouri and NE Oklahoma. Our people are scattered all over but I still remember my roots. At 81yrs I have done much. I now rest and live in Peace. May you all walk in Beauty.
In 1981 I had the privilege of being in Big Mountain resistance camp, it changed my life. I met many Dineh as well as people from other nations at gatherings there. Keeshay Kateney(not sure of the spelling) was chief at that time. A time I will never ever forget.
I think we might be distant relatives! I’m Athabaskan from Fort Yukon Alaska and relocated to the Sedona area and love it here. Rich with so much history here
In this corporate world two Indian Medicine Men, along with two other Men used the white man Law to take back The Turtle Island. These four People have Title now, and we are waiting to take possession sometime soon. This was all done using the Colorado-state constitution in the Tenth Circuit Court, as well as the Court of Original Jurisdiction in Washington DC. We get it all back (gold, silver, water, lands, every asset you can dream of! Thanks to Grandfather (Yahawah)! Lightfoot APD.
Thank you for sharing and recording this history! I hope to visit some day. My son died in a small plane crash on the Navajo Nation, Peach Mountain (?) in 2014.
Thank you for posting all these vids with your peoples wisdom. Since a child in Costa Rica I was always intrigued by the knowledge that your ancestors have passed down.
Knucky here chap. U reg. U think beavers made green areas in dry areas now. Beaver there? Absolutely beautiful... where are rhe hopi.. u walk there, hopis. U trade crow. Long road drive 200mph for miles . Did u migrate. Did hopi migrate. Zuni migrate . Unity brings sunbows
I drove my truck along 89n 12 years ago. It was the most spectacular roads I’ve been on in 15 years. The views are breathtaking. One day I’m going back and stop at one of the many roadside jewelry stands.
I was lucky enough to have visited that area and it reminded me of were Iam from. North west Australia. Places have a “feeling” to them. That place was old and unique energy. All indigenous peoples are under extinction due to the knowledge they hold. Alcohol as an example. Stolen children too. My respect and admiration 🙏. 👍🦘
Trippy , I was just at the cliffs yesterday and this morning. Just saw all of this area on the way back to Page all in the past few hours. Thank you for teaching.
Outside of Independence, KS there is a series of cave dwellings around a place called Lover's Leap. I found morels there. It was close to food and water sources which made it ideal. Water even drips sometimes from the top. It's been spray painted by a bunch of kids I think.
Thank you Wally. And Shane, I think it's great that you included video your Mother took of Grand Canyon. These places are all so special, not only to me and you, but to those that come after us and these stories help bind us all together. Also, really fascinating part about Colorado. As we all know, they have become so "woke" over there in recent times and yet they always seem to conveniently forget their own greedy and ugly history and point fingers at others.
What a beautiful view!!! I have a huge amount of respect for your people and all the Native Americans. Wish i could be there and meet all of you. It would be such an honor!!
Wow that changed quick! His english is superb!! I. Just an english girl who has respect n much love and care for you. Thank you for translating sir xxx
I would love to hear you speak about what you know of the Dene sometime, the Navajo of the North so to speak. They are in my province of Saskatchewan, but are more remote and I don't have much contact with that community.
I was reading through the library and I came across a random passage about umbilical cords and tying people to their heritage land this was in regards to Apache tradition
I would love to see land brought back to life. I have a vision of the past coming alive in the present. Building villages growing crops tours of the history by the people the history is about. I like that concept. Bring the people back to the land. Living history that’s got substance and enchantment not someone’s interpretation of assumptions Hollywood reenactment. To see the people everyone comes to learn about living and doing their thing. This is how we do it scene not a this is how white people think we did it before they ran our asses off 😂. The land needs its people the people need their land. It’s not about owning it’s about existing on earth as you had for thousands of years.

Thank you for the History lesson...
Hey Wally can you do a video about the Wupatki site? I heard it is a very sacred site.
Aho! Yes we are not owners, rather caretakers.. guardians.. custodians.. stewards
I wish more people felt that way...
Thank you, fellow five finger being. Blessing to you and yours.
I have never been to the Nation. But I've heard of the beauty of it's vast openness spoken of. Thank you for making this.
My brother & I went to Alamosa the other day to see old friends. Still plenty of Diné here in SoColo!! Ahéhee' Shitsili 🐦 🐦🐦🐦 🏔️
I love that part of AZ. You can see the marble canyon gorge… I love going over the Navajo bridge
Wonderful to learn the history. Thank you!

A heavy hearted message Mr. Wally. Truth has sadness often wove into it. Wado from southeast tennessee...
I am not Navajo. But I agree it is important to know all true history.
Thank you for the education. Blessings ❤
Thank you for this video.

Do you mind doing one video on the little people and one about the giants?

Some people want to be entertained and some people are hungry for the truth
Thank you I love your videos of sacred knowledge
Thank you for your knowledge Sir.
Man seeing a storm visiting the lighting and thunder lit up the whole valley , beautiful sunsets 🌅
Those of us who don't live on a rez don't own anything either. Try not paying taxes and see who owns the land or your home.
Always interesting. Thanks for the video.

Blanca Peak? That's way over in the San Luis Valley. Wow. Your people much have clashed with the Utes then.
I've had strong mountain tobacco. One hit and I couldn't walk for a while (plus I vomited, of course).
The giant petrified tree stump in the background... ("mesa")

The removal of the native Americans across this nation was for mineral, precious gems, gold, and silver. Very sad.
Thank you for your teachings. My father grew up near there. It's beautiful.
The Utes were slave traders who stole Navajo children and killed them on behalf of the US government. They also didnt want Navajo back.
