For those of you asking about the 3-inch technique, here's what to know. When you pin the frontal at the 3-inch mark away from the cap line, it allows you to keep half of the ear area onto the cap and the remainder outside the cap, as she explained. Extra tip: After you've sewn the frontal, you then measure the actual front-to-nape measurement from the frontal hairline and then add 1 inch to the measurement. So if your actual front-to-nape measurement were 14 inches from the frontal hairline, you would have a 15-inch F-N measurement for your wig construction. I tried this and it turned out glueless. Give this a try and lemme know whether you found this helpful.
I don't often leave comments on tutorials because I mostly don't get exactly what I'm looking for so I have to watch several videos to get what I truly want but this tutorial is the best I've watched so far and has taught me exactly what I wanted to know to make my glueless frontal wig. Thanks a lot for your detailed tutorial ❤️
I was about making a client’s wig right now and I decided to check UA-cam and this video popped up right on time. It’s so detailed. I feel so excited At the moment. Thanks much
Because you do not place (install) wigs directly to your actual hairline. So u can place the lace an inch to 3inches away from your hairline. (Protective method for your edges) 💥🔥
Even the class I paid for didn’t tell me more. By far the best tutorial on UA-cam f ore glueless wigs. No cap. Thank you so much Omoni for this. 🔥 I love the way you drew your outline. Do you u have a tutorial on that?
Thank you for this video!! At 15min and 50 seconds, why did you place the frontal 3inches into the mannequin head? Is that another measurement from the client? or should I always pull the frontal 3 inches up every time (no matter what the client measurements are)? I hope my question makes sense
I know this is late. That measurement isn't client dependent. The original inventor of this style just did it that way. She said it just works and it does. I have used it a few times and my measurements are as different from hers as night and day.
Have you changed this method at the hairline? Placing the frontal 3 inches below the cap seems to be way too far, especially is the front to nape is 14. I measured my front to nape and the most I can go is 15 or the frontal will be touching my eyebrows. The most it should be is 1 inch, unless the person has a big forehead or the back is laying on your neck. Has anyone tried this and it fit perfectly. I don't want to waste my time or mess up a unit doing this.
only thing I can say is if you have locs wait to cut the lace frontal until you bleach and secure the lace band after your measurements. Since I have locs the extra lace is detrimental to making the wig on the sides look natural as possible.
Wonderful video. It was very informative. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm curious, why did you bring down the lace frontal three inches from the hairline? Is it incorrect to place the lace frontal directly in the middle of the hairline (at the nine-inch location on the hairline from the neck)? I hope I'm making sense to you. 🙂
I've dome this, but for some reason my wig comes out big and I'm not sure why that is. I place all my measurements down to exactly the way u said but my wig is still big 😫😫😫 pls help
Hi Omoni thanks for the video but can you please share why the 9 inches was measured in the beginning of the video? Is that measurement for every single wig? I'm confused there please respond I'll appreciate it! ❤
Hello Nice video. Thank you I have a question thought, the ear to ear you used in cutting the frontal, is it the ear to ear forehead measurement or ear to ear over the top of the head measurement?
Hi, I loved this video. Awesome instruction. When you got close to the frontal, I thought I noticed that you didn't use double tracks. Is it because it's curlier/denser hair? Thanks for this video.
@@sherryzetar3390 Thank you for this. I was wondering this. 3 inches is way too much. The most my front to nape is 15 inches and that's with an extra 1 inch at the front. I wonder how the wig truly fits on her head using the 3 inch method. I think she should update with stating that 3 inches isn't standard. It can be 1-3 inches depending on the forehead size.
She didn’t pull the cap, it was the frontal she pulled to the front. The initial 2 inch are going to be cut off anyways when styling so leaving 1 inch.
Yes you're correct. It would make it 17 inches which means she made the persons forehead 3 inches longer. It's not correct. Unless she missed explaining a step, it doesn't sound right to me.
Can you PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION.. I’m LOST on this point. Why did you pull the frontal down 3 inches from the hairline downwards? I can’t figure that out…

Can this work for any other head size apart from size 22. Can this method be used also for 21-23 as well
@@ezejudith659 I believe this technique applies to all head sizes and works best when you have your client's ear-to-ear measurement.
Does this technique work with a 13x6 frontal also?

I like your tutorial. I learned somethings I didn't hear before. Why did you bring the frontal down 3in instead of about an inch from the hairline?
Oh wao....

If you place the frontal directly on the hairline it means you will also have to glue the frontal onto your hairline which isn’t right.

Hello
Nice video. Thank you
I have a question thought, the ear to ear you used in cutting the frontal, is it the ear to ear forehead measurement or ear to ear over the top of the head measurement?
It’s the ear to ear hairline/ forehead
I have one question please. What is you are using an already use frontal ? How many inches would be measured at the frontline where you pin the net .
Very good tutorial, but it’s the 9” from the neck to the hairline that I did not understand. Aunty can you please 🙏🏽 explain to me?
The 9 inches from the bottom to the top determines where to position the wig cap, hairline starts from there.
@@OmoniGotCurls thank you so much ❤️ ❤️

What is the music , awesome!
Great video, why did you pull the frontal down 3inches?
Sorry the very first measurements you took is that the front to nape?
How did u get a midi cap? Most caps in the market are free sizes, then one needs to adjust
Hi, I loved this video. Awesome instruction. When you got close to the frontal, I thought I noticed that you didn't use double tracks. Is it because it's curlier/denser hair? Thanks for this video.
Ma please the way you place the frontal, is it thesame way you place for making glueless braiding cap?
Impressive...I have to use the sleeve arm instead of sewing flat.
Do you use 9” and 3” measurements from the frontline to the neck for all frontal wig?
Great job God continue to bless you for us🙏🙏🙏🙏
Are you using a straight stich or zigzag when you were doubling the tracks?
Pls will the measurements on the canvas work if I'm using the bald head manniquin head. Hope I'm making sense
Do you still use this method of sewing the wig or you have updated. I want to try it 🥰
Hey sis, I still use this method, give it a try.
I'd like to know if this applies to handmade wigging?
Thank you
There are other canvas head that is longer how many inches should one remove from that
If you place the frontal by 2incs or 1 instead of 3, will it still give same result?
Yes long as frontal is laying flat on the back & sides 3 inches is kinda far to me
@@sherryzetar3390 Thank you for this. I was wondering this. 3 inches is way too much. The most my front to nape is 15 inches and that's with an extra 1 inch at the front. So her front to nape was 14 inches, so once you pulled frontal in front by 3 inches. Wouldn't the front to nape now be 17 making the wig too big?
She didn’t pull the cap, it was the frontal she pulled to the front. The initial 2 inch are going to be cut off anyways when styling so leaving 1 inch.
