True story. My mother passed away June 28th of this year (2019) at 2am. I went to the hospital to collect her things shortly after, then went home to her house where I was staying while she was in the hospital. I opened youtube for some reason and the first thing that came up was the video for this song which I sat and watched/listened to. While reading the lyrics I wept as it felt like the words related to me and my mother. I'll never forget that morning and the role this song played in it. Forever painful, dark, majestic, and beautiful. Thank you to Klone for this song.
Same here, I've lost my father in April, but I had to deal with everything after and never had even the time to greave. So I went back to my first race in the beginning of July and on the way back, whilst driving Spotify played this song for me. The rest of the day I spent crying....
SuperBlazeomatic I discovered this song and this band while my mother was in the hospital with stage 4 lung cancer in October 2019. I was about to leave there one day in my car and searched kscope on UA-cam since I’ve liked other music on this label. I clicked and played the music video version of this song and was floored. This song felt like a gift to help me process what was going on. I played it a second time then while driving home and finally allowed myself to cry. She passed away within a week. This song will always have a special meaning to me.
@@SuperBlazeomatic almost the same here. I discovered this song when my gradpa was at the hospital. He died a month ago and this song speaks to me in a very deep way. Thank you all for sharing your stories and I'm sorry for your losses. Lots of love.
I've just discovered this band from a client that recently burned me a cd (haha). Luckily I could play it in my truck and I am literally freaking out how awesome they are!!!
Kscope, those growls should've made it onto the album. I was so disappointed to not find them in the studio version. They add so much more emotion and contrast to a mellow and somber song.
@@martinweilldrums1860 Hahaha you are! And have in mind that this is a wide screen video, which means you must be even skinnier!! :D Jokes aside, I really like the space you allow between your hits. Really classy drumming. Stay safe, cheers!!
Let's not ignore the drummer who is not only doing a great job, but he is really enjoying himself so much xD I so miss live music :( Hope to see you ALL soon in a great arena, with lovely music!
This live version is better than the studio version - so much more emotional, raw.. those harsh vocals should've been on the album .. would make the song even better
During this whole lock down I definitely changed at least a bit. One thing I love is that I started looking for new music more and more often instead of just listening to the same bands over and over again. Oh boy am I glad I discovered Klone. I just want this all to be over and get back to concerts, festival, there are so many bands I would love to see perform live. I feel like this video transmits at least a bit of the "live concert" emotion. I so miss that and I cannot wait to go in the first row and support awesome artists again.
As a huge Katatonia fan, I only had to hear "Yonder", "Give Up The Rest" and "Sealed" before I immediately decided to buy the 7 most recent CDs by Klone. I haven't received them all in the mail yet (I live in America) but when I do, I intend to dive in deep. And coming from someone who absolutely hates harsh vocals in rock/metal music, for some reason I love it here. It sounds like he is so close to going over the edge but yet is still holding complete control to not allow the growls to take over and I love that! This is one of the only times I can say that I actually prefer a live version over the studio one. But that being said, I do hope Klone doesn't bring back the growls as a main feature (that was their only downfall on ALL SEEING EYE, which is the only CD I have heard at the time of writing this). I love the style they currently have.
It was great! It's a bummer it came out at such an unfortunate time though. And I will say that while I do love it, I would have to rank it just slightly lower than their 4 previous studio albums.
Mindblowingly beautiful, dark, atmospheric, otherworldy... I can't even properly describe what your "new" sound does to me, but I can't get enough of it. Cannot wait for the new record! Oh and by the way, those growls are on a masterclass level and remind me of Joe Duplantier - incredible! All the best from Germany, hope to see you here on the next tour!
Kscope, those growls should've made it onto the album. I was so disappointed to not find them in the studio version. They add so much more emotion and contrast to a mellow and somber song.
Listen to old live (he changed his technique recently), Joe's vocals are completely different. Klone's vocal are great, but I really don't hear the link (lol).
We have to leave, just you and I In this great blue yonder, unreal and wild Live this sweet inception until we die Leading us together on the other side It's another chapter, a tale to write To sate our craving when the moon is tired We're floating outside our body shell Entirely detached from our shade Spread the light when the sky is grey Let things rise and grow, to carry on the flame Reach the lines to enlighten fate Free from humankind, now we're gone away You've never been so far from me I've never felt so close to you Something wide open shall set us free Livin' the moment, nothing else to do Spread the light when the sky is grey Let things rise and grow, to carry on the flame Reach the lines to enlighten fate Free from humankind, now we're gone away
That singer has some pipes! I've been compiling a Spotify playlist of music like this that has beautiful vocals and heavy music. Moon Tooth - O My Isle is up there.
Funny how pale the studio version is compared to this. His screams in the endnotes, simply brilliant. Hope the album Will bring back some beautiful harsh vocals.
Thanks to Spotify and the comments from the studio version uploaded on UA-cam, I found this gem! This is one of the most meaningful song, both musically and lyrically I've heard this year! It's always great to discover great artists! All the best Klone, from India!
I cannot say enough good things about this band! The most haunting and awesome vocals I've heard in all of Metal since Geoff Tate from Queensryche. These guys should be huge already.
Discovered Klone - Yonder thanks to the "Russia on Ice - Porcupine Tree" radio on Spotify, loved the studio version at the first hearing, but damn is this live version so so good! Love the growls in the heavier parts, they add so much, yet remain in the tone of the song. Awesome work.
i love clean but heavy guitars like this. Drums and bass do an awesome job at driving the song forward and building it up. And then the vocals.. my god that man can sing o.O super powerful! Love it
Another great band enter the arena populatedwith stiff competition, Leprous, TesseracT, APC, Rishloo, et al, Klone have some unique characteristics, not least Yann's great voice, and the collectives ability to construct songs with power, grace, tech ability, and that Jen 'sais quoi! They ought to receive wider attention, recognition! Brilliant!
OMG... How I haven't heard these guys before...I got here via Gojira... These guys here have a The Gathering vibe. I love this. My coworkers and neighbors will soon be annoyed! The transition from clean to harsh on his vocals is epic!
Great to see Klone on the Kscope label ❤️ Promote this band with all you've got. Le Grand Voyage is fucking brilliant! I'm already looking forward to their next album. In the meantime, push it, make Klone a houshold name ❤️
this is one of the most interesting band actually, from France, really a discover, and definitively buy his records and all them put on the market, love them, from Mexico!!!

Déjà précommandé pour ma part ! :)
Bought this from Amazon and can't stop listening to it...
hope i will buy in México, this is a great band
The vocalist sounds absolutely incredible live. Those harsh vocals are vicious.
I agree. Fantastic voice
I agree I literally said wow out loud 3 times in less than 10 seconds lol I’m actually quite impressed

One of my favorite song, ever
RIP those people who hasn't found this band yet!
Iv only just discovered them but listening to all the albums now
I've just discovered this band from a client that recently burned me a cd (haha). Luckily I could play it in my truck and I am literally freaking out how awesome they are!!!
This band deserves much more recognition. That vocalist must be heard by everyone!
This is one of the cleanest live performances I've seen. Spotify sent me a gift in the form of these guys
Me too. Thanx to spotify
this incredible band needs more recognitions, you can't tell apart studio and live recordings, frontman is slapping hard!
SO POWERFUL
This band is such a hidden gem
this is the best live performance ive ever seen, SO THICC
I honestly thought this was the studio version until he went dark with his voice. Absolutely awesome.
I think it's the studio version with overdubs. This can't be a live version.
This is a religious experience
Kscope, those growls should've made it onto the album. I was so disappointed to not find them in the studio version. They add so much more emotion and contrast to a mellow and somber song.
They are there too, just not as prominent.
The growls make this song.
GOJRIA & KLONE USA TOUR!!! C'MON!!! LET"S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!!! 🤘💀🤘
That skinny kid can give a lesson or two about tight drumming to anyone!!! Really impressed with his playing.
Am I so skinny ?? Thank you for this, dude !

What he says!! Sick drumming!!
@@martinweilldrums1860 Giving me vibes of a Mat Cameron in his prime. Excellent drumming skills, you are playing the song and making it better!
My husband and I stargazed while listening to this album one night. One of the best experiences ever.
Awesome track. I love how the vocalist just slides effortlessly into the growls. Just wow, impressive really.
No we've gone awaaaAAAAAAY"
There is no going back from this

I was enjoying the moment for sure ! Thanks dude !

Saw the band three hours ago on Devin Towndends Lightworker tour through Germany. Hell I’m so speechless , these guys are so great.
same! was blown away by their heavy ethereal emotional sound. great singer
Same here! I didn't know them but liked them just as much as Devin. Immediately bought CD's and a shirt after
Amazing...What a Great Band.
Genius band
Best current voice in metal ...
i had never listened to this till last night that a friend showed me.... wooooooww, so good
My God, I was getting goosebumps watching this... I turn it up LOUD when I'm driving. This Singer is incredible!!!
Absolument magnifique !!
Tout à fait raison ma chère.
One of the best song i've ever hear
One of those songs that you don't want to end
listening while working, I thought this version sounded a lit bit different and then realize it's a live version holy shit
The drumming in this is exceptional. Mesmerising at times. Empty, yet so much going on. Effortless.

We have to leave, just you and I

Live this sweet inception until we die
Leading us together on the other side
It's another chapter, a tale to write
To sate our craving when the moon is tired

Spread the light when the sky is grey
Let things rise and grow, to carry on the flame
Reach the lines to enlighten fate
Free from humankind, now we're gone away

Reach the lines to enlighten fate
Free from humankind, now we're gone away
