My daughter asked if my husband could walk her down the aisle at her wedding along with her biological father. She said she wanted BOTH her dads to give her away. I’m not ashamed to say that after I said absolutely, I walked into my bedroom, closed the door and downright bawled. As a mom, you always worry how your choices impact your children. That was confirmation I chose well.

Ask the quiet veteran for help. Odds are, they’ve seen things and done things, but they’ve been shunned from society for no reason, and they are just dying to share the skills and knowledge they gained from their past. We can be a little skittish at first but deep down we love everyone and love to help.
I think some folks are afraid of veterans because of the violence and death they might have experienced. They fear the veteran can’t control the violence he is capable of. I’m not a veteran but I’m one of those who respects our veterans rather than fear them or even be disgusted by what they may have done. They wouldn’t take me during Vietnam but I’ve done a few things, some alcohol related, that damn near got me killed and I had some that worried about me when I was younger and I ain’t faced nothing like our veterans. Some people ignore them now, but comes a war guess who they’ll go running to.
✊🏿 Buddy your solid man as a black man with racial tensions high and the shit they stir up to cover up the fact that men aren’t being men YOU ARE A LIGHT! Bless you and your family bro! Keep it up
I’m a 14 year old country boy from Tennessee, I’m so thankful I’m being raised right. And I don’t care how many grown ups try to tell me I’m wrong, because I’m not. You, Ryan Upchurch, Adam Calhoun, Phil Robertson, y’all have taught me a lot, and I’m proud to say I am a Buddy Brown supporter!
As a man that was adopted as a child and never had a real dad, this video really hit home with me. Getting out into nature and learning new skills has been something that has kept me on a good path. Thank you for the inspiration.
Buddy, you hit the nail on the head! I,m thankful to have a Father that passed down what his Father taught him. How to live off the land and how to garden and grow our own food. I am passing this knowlege to my son and daughters. I am also teaching these things to my Boy Scout troop for 15 years now. I hope they have learned and will pass on the knowlege to their children.
Thank you buddy for being honest to the point. I am a 54-year-old woman that raised five kids on her own because her deadbeat husband . I work three jobs and tried to support my kids in the best way I could. I was one of the lucky ones I had three great men in my life My great uncle my grandpa and my daddy taught me how to survive how to hunt fish even work on cars Yes my stepmother taught me how to be a lady but once I moved out of my daddy house . I had to stand on my own two feet and I made sure that my kids finished school and had at least seven job trades they knew how to be self-sufficient and live off the land I taught them right from wrong respect their elders and always be true to themselves and yes I'm a very proud mother each of my children are in the military and I am very proud of them
As a mother of 6 daughters, thank you for doing this hard work to raise responsible godly sons! We pray the men our girls will marry someday are being raised well like this!
Thank YOU for raising your daughter's to be the kind of women for those kind of men~!! I have 3 sons and 2 daughters. Both my sons found themselves women who don't want to control, but COMPLIMENT. Unfortunately one of my daughters has become a lefty feminist and she scares good men away. She's slowly remembering how she was raised tho,now has 2 daughters of her own. And although she still drives me crazy and there's many taboo subjects between us,I'm enjoying watching her be a stay at home mom, letting her man be what a man should be(instead of emasculating him)and being the woman I raised her to be~!! She's a work in progress tho,,it's gonna take some time lol......
I’m learning U.S history this year in high school, and just finished learning about the over mountain men and the backwoods men. They were so incredible and learned anything they could to survive. They all worked together to build villages and work on roads etc. that had an incredible sense of place and community. They were mostly men who were kind and respectful and knew how to work and do the job in a God glorifying way. It’s so refreshing to see that there are still men out there like that. Iv been seeing a lot of feminist men lately.
As a 66 year old man and a father of a son . taught him how to fish hunt camp how to survive on his own in the woods. Like my grandfather taught me. At twelve five my son joined the Army. He made marksman his first time on the range. I not saying he was a super soldier at bootcamp. What it boils down to is he was one of the top of his class. I went to his graduation from bootcamp. At the end of the day he walked up to me and thank me for teaching me how to be a man. Well son that's my job.
@@SuperMan-qj8dx Sure, you're probably right, English is my 2nd language. But that way it sounds to me like it was in the past, while "I wish I know him" mean I still do wish that. As another great country artist said, "thanks for schooling me" :)
Its the reason I like him so much. It's how I grew up, & still living it. I grew up on a farm, & I'm so grateful to God & my parents. It molded me in who I am today❤
@@stefans6658 Your reasoning is solid. The reason it goes into the past tense is because it's what we call a hypothetical conditional (or a type 2 conditional)--something that is imaginary or against the truth. For example we say "If I were you I would X" the past tense tells us that it's imaginary: I can't be you even if my brain is put in your body. P.S. Thanks for choosing English as a second language--it's a crazy one.
@@sac58999 Thanks for explaining. I live in US, but in house we use our native tongue, which is pretty complex with grammar and grammatical cases. So I even speak my native language off sometimes 🙃
This is SO awesome! My Grandpaw passed down skills to my dad and what he didn’t teach dad my Papa taught my dad. My dad taught me and my brother. My mama taught me how to mother as did my mother in law. My sister-in-law, only slightly older than me encouraged me in my marriage and my mothering. Now I try to do the same thing. Men need to be men and proud to be men and to teach their sons to love their wife as themselves. Mothers need to teach their daughters to be proud of being a wife and mother. My baby graduated last year so this is my first school year as a retired homeschool mom. We learned so much more than the 3 R’s. Modern education focuses on academics and brainwashing. I started with Relationships 101 the syllabus included godly character, dealing with conflict, serving and loving others. Judging actions and not hearts. People over things, always. Be kind. Speak plainly yet kindly. There are times to fight for what you believe in. There are times you walk away from someone who acts icky, till they have a true change of heart. Forgiving doesn’t mean a full relationship with someone who is acting yucky. You don’t have to put up with crap or be a doormat to be a loving and forgiving person. Mothers need to mother anyone God brings into their path that needs a mama or an aunt. I’m everybody’s aunt. I want my house to be a safe, peaceful place where broken people can find love and solace. My husband and I have been a team for 25 years and I’m proud of the home/life we have built not because it’s all pretty because it ain’t. We don’t have new cars, perfect lawns, the latest decor or granite countertops. Our kitchen appliances don’t even match, but they work! The house is small but none of that matters when it comes to love and service. It just needs to be clean and comfortable and full of love. God made both genders and He made us with different yet complimentary attributes that we should be proud of and use they way God intended. That doesn’t mean that my husband can’t cook or that I don’t bait my own hook. We both have wisdom for our kids (grown ups) and both come to each one of us for wisdom on different things according to which one of us has the most in that area. My husband has been a good godly example to our kids. He has taught my son how to be a man and my daughter what to look for in a husband. As a woman who chose to stay home and educate my children I have actually had women talk down to me or flat out say I’ve ruined feminism. I’m like…good. Yeah we need to vote and be treated as precious human beings but this whole thing has gone too far. I always shook my head at those women and ignored them thinking, let’s just see where you are in ten years. In juvie that’s where! Grandmothers before they should be, bailing kids out of trouble because they “Had to have it all!” That’s a straight up lie. It doesn’t work like that. Of course some women need to work and they do the best they can to survive. We gave up a lot for me to be at home, but it was something we felt led by God to do. There were no Disney vacations, some years there weren’t vacations at all. We’d go camping, or take a week at home and do special things like go to a creek not too far away and swim, picnic. Simple things. That time together mattered more than where we were. Thanks for saying the hard stuff
I don't usually calm down enough to evaluate myself until about this time of year near thanksgiving With that said, This is the best 7 mins I've spent on UA-cam all year
You are so right. If women are honest we all want a real man. God family and self. Thank you for showing the way for others. I pray you reach many more.
Amen, Buddy. This was a Powerful video. I thank you for acknowledging the Vietnam Veteran. Let us not forget the Korean, and World War II vets. There are so few. When I see a veteran from Korea or World War II, I stop, talk, and thank them for their leadership.
I grew up in South Africa in the Johannesburg area , in 1994 I moved to the Karoo a semi arrid area in South Africa, the towns here are small and the people tough as nails but kindhearted and friendly....the point I'm trying to make is this ,Abraham chose the desert above the Jordan valley for a reason and that reason according to my thinking is that almost all that is unholy has it's roots in the cities.....today the same thing applies every single thing that breaks down the traditional family and the values I hold dear as a man has its origin in the cities....I find peace living a simple country lifestyle,I can see God in every blade of grass ,in the city God's presence is built over paved over and tarred over....no wonder people behave like they do in the city
Reminds me of this last weekend where I showed 2 teenagers how to process Turkeys and Chickens. When I told them these Turkeys are going to feed disabled Veterans, they slowed down and made sure to follow direction. Since they did such a great job, I sent them home with one for their family. Keep teaching the old ways!!!
Oh crap! I can’t describe how accurate this is. I didn’t hunt here in Minnesota, I didn’t have time as I trapped fur. Put myself through college and did just fine. My son isn’t a big outdoors guy but he has a healthy respect for those who are. It showed at basic training for him when they asked if he would show the class how to position and take down a target as he was the only one who had a clue in real life. Proud of that boy.
I'm working on being a better Man. Sold the house in Phoenix,Az leaving a 6 figure job and bought a 6-acre property with a creek in Northern Alabama. Excited for the trials ahead for us and the kids. Be blessed✌🏻❤🇺🇲

That's precisely what I tell my son (10) "It's a scary world, and when Mom's old you WILL take care of her." Taking him hunting next year, if he does alright (behavior, not bag) he gets to own (I'll still secure) the 30-30 Win that my uncle and Grandpa put me through the paces to earn.
AMEN SIR. The responsible men in this country pay attention to others and offer guidance and encouragment. The rest want someone else to do it for them. Bless you Buddy...
Pls keep talking about this. You hammer it home so well. The fact that there might be men now and in future who ARE men, behave as men, and don't apologize for it gives women a lot of reason to want to learn to be what complements you with no apologies. Can't wait for the next installment!!! Sooo happy for your wife!!! Lucky lady!!! Nice to know that can still be in this up-is-down-evil-is-good-supposedly world. Gonna go ooh and aah over my own unapologetic man now!!! :)

Well said my man well said these generation don't even know how to carry a gun safely and most are scared to even go in the woods I fear for the Next Generation coming around

Brother, my wife and I are pushing towards getting our VA home loan and buying property and land. I grew up in Oregon back in the late 80's and 90's which is waaaay different now than it was then but my brothers and I hunted, scouted, and broke brush just walking to explore new parts of the mountain/hill and that's what I want for my boys
My dad went hunting, fishing and grew his own food. For that I will always admire him. He was a WWII Navy veteran. I look back and so proud of who he was. He even took me small game hunting and fishing with him. As his daughter I will always remember those times.
Hell ya! We just watched and our 4 yr old turns when video finished and said "does Buddy Really know me?" You spoke to him and he's 4. We live this life and always will! Save what's left of America while we still have something worth saving!

Love the message! Proud to say I taught my son and daughter the way of hunting. My daughter has harvested numerous deer. I taught them the Word of God and they have taken hold of God’s Word and are teaching my eight grandchildren the same way. I used to tell folks a real man always carries a knife!
my father in law is a Vietnam vet, My dad passed away when I was 19 and I lean on that man a lot more than he knows. One thing I did get from my own father is to speak your mind and don't be scared to do so. My coworkers tell me all the time that I get the asshole award. and it's not because I'm an asshole, it's because I tell it like it is and people don't like the truth. thank you buddy for sharing and reminding us go back to our roots Godspeed my friend!
BRAVO 👏👏👏 Man is not lost on us yet. I’ve always told my now 19 yr old son to never ever apologize for being a MAN. He also had respect for others. Rushes over open doors for people.. things like that. I couldn’t be prouder of him.

I learned these skills as a kid in the boy scouts buy a man who mentored me as I grew up with out a Dad. But I took my kids out as often as I could to give them the skills gifted me. God Bless you Buddy. We need men to be men as God intended.
So so true. So so sad. Thanks to all you, what I learned to call, Men's Men! One word "man" hasn't meant much for decades. Most of is were forced to stand in the gap alone. We never wanted to. Thank you Buddy.
My dad taught me the exact same stuff. He served in Vietnam. My crazy brain had the idea to join the usmc, got out in 2019. With the wisdom my father taught me and the lessons of 3 years overseas I can say without any doubt I wouldn't change a thing. Never get lazy, comfortable, or complacent. It's got the same results of going left instead of right on the trail you mentioned.

Odds are, they’ve seen things and done things, but they’ve been shunned from society for no reason, and they are just dying to share the skills and knowledge they gained from their past. We can be a little skittish at first but deep down we love everyone and love to help.
Yes sir, that's the truth. 👍🇺🇸
Amen
I think some folks are afraid of veterans because of the violence and death they might have experienced. They fear the veteran can’t control the violence he is capable of. I’m not a veteran but I’m one of those who respects our veterans rather than fear them or even be disgusted by what they may have done. They wouldn’t take me during Vietnam but I’ve done a few things, some alcohol related, that damn near got me killed and I had some that worried about me when I was younger and I ain’t faced nothing like our veterans. Some people ignore them now, but comes a war guess who they’ll go running to.
INDEED! Got much wealth at their feet growing up! ❤🇺🇸❤
✊🏿 Buddy your solid man as a black man with racial tensions high and the shit they stir up to cover up the fact that men aren’t being men YOU ARE A LIGHT! Bless you and your family bro! Keep it up
Appreciate it brother - much love -BB
I’m a 14 year old country boy from Tennessee, I’m so thankful I’m being raised right. And I don’t care how many grown ups try to tell me I’m wrong, because I’m not. You, Ryan Upchurch, Adam Calhoun, Phil Robertson, y’all have taught me a lot, and I’m proud to say I am a Buddy Brown supporter!
As a man that was adopted as a child and never had a real dad, this video really hit home with me. Getting out into nature and learning new skills has been something that has kept me on a good path. Thank you for the inspiration.
The older generation can teach you so much more than Google!! Thank you for being a man, a raising men. This world needs more real men!! God Bless you
Buddy, you hit the nail on the head!
Buddy Brown "Y'all come with me"
Me: (Sits up straight) yessir!
Not even gonna ask where, let's go
We behind you just lets go
Lets do this
Thank you buddy for being honest to the point.
Your an excellent father figure Buddy! Love y'all
Amen Buddy!!!! Amen!!!
Amen!! So refreshing to see and hear a man speak up about all of this.
Well done, brother!
At 72 I could tell a very similar story.
It wasn’t easy raising kids right.
But, dang, it was worth it!
Stay strong brother!
I wish I know Buddy personally. We are sharing same views and way of life.
@@SuperMan-qj8dxNo problems, I just wasn't sure, If I said it grammatically wrong or changed the meaning.
You spoke from your tender loving heart, and spoke with excellence.❤
I don't usually calm down enough to evaluate myself until about this time of year near thanksgiving
With that said, This is the best 7 mins I've spent on UA-cam all year
Everyday is THANKSGIVING
Inner man is coming out
What a world this would be if every little boy & girl had a daddy like you, Buddy Brown? Bless you & your family.
Who watching this could ever give it a thumb down 🤔
Thank you Buddy for the inspirational video.
The world is in desperate need of more dad's like you!
You are so right. If women are honest we all want a real man. God family and self. Thank you for showing the way for others. I pray you reach many more.
Well if women are being COMPLETELY honest we all want another women at least a little bit
@@marshallbernarte8216 yes i agree women all want different things i was just trying to make the point that lots of women might not want a "real man"
Amen, Buddy. This was a Powerful video. I thank you for acknowledging the Vietnam Veteran. Let us not forget the Korean, and World War II vets. There are so few. When I see a veteran from Korea or World War II, I stop, talk, and thank them for their leadership.
You tell them Buddy! So much common sense!
I offer no apologizes for protecting and providing for my family. This is what responsible men do.
Real women are very very glad that there are still real men out there. 😘
Breath of fresh air when we need it most. Thanks Buddy.
Whether you live in a rural area or in the city, if the spirit is in you, then the country boy will always survive.🇺🇸
Giving a youngster the confidence that he's in charge and not let him know what he "can't" do is priceless ! 👍
"Country Boy Can Survive" - by Hank Williams Jr. Is an awesome song
Amen . real women love and count on men to get the job done.
As a father of 2 beautiful girls it is nice to know there are men like you bringing up your boys to have high respect for girls. Thank you sir.
Amen. Biblical masculinity and biblical femininity make nations strong.
Agree with you 100%, we need more men like you in this world
Ryan Phillips here again.I have a son 8 .He I raise and share the same about things beliefs, command sense tricks and trades
All you have ever mentioned
We are the same people in every way far as I have got from your words of you and yours.Alwsys in the woods.Doing the best we can and doing the best we can every chance we have opportunities t...Letting Jesus

Trusting fully in him.I hear a bullfrog.Gotta go

Have to get him by

Later Buddy
That's precisely what I tell my son (10) "It's a scary world, and when Mom's old you WILL take care of her." Taking him hunting next year, if he does alright (behavior, not bag) he gets to own (I'll still secure) the 30-30 Win that my uncle and Grandpa put me through the paces to earn.
You’re killing it brother. I’m living and raising my champions the same way in Wyoming. Appreciate you brother. Keep doing Gods work. Blessings
I love how Proud you are of your sons! One Proud Dad! Love it!
Good testament for God! Go Buddy!
AMEN SIR. The responsible men in this country pay attention to others and offer guidance and encouragment. The rest want someone else to do it for them. Bless you Buddy...
We need a lot more people in this world like you!!!
Straight up truth.
We need more people like you
Buddy you are my hero....you are very wise.
This world needs more men like you. Bless you and your family.
Your a great Dad, and people are lucky to have you as a friend, your Daddy and Grandpa tought you well.
Common sense from old school imparted from a young man! Thank you Buddy.
I remember the student parking lot (which was gravel) had trucks with the ole back glass 2 gun, gun rack. Depending on what season it was determined what gun you had.
I'm a veteran of the Army I taught my children as Mr Brown said I'm 72 years old 30 years of service to our Country
AMEN BROTHER!!
Thank you, Buddy! Please keep doing what you’re doing! We need more like you!!!
in high school hunting season , fri,, gun in my gun rack in my chevy in the school parking lot knife in my pocket,, people used to be sane.
Well said! A good Christian example of what a man should be. Great job, and letting you know you're not alone.
Well said my man well said these generation don't even know how to carry a gun safely and most are scared to even go in the woods I fear for the Next Generation coming around
Excellent message for today’s generations of men and boys.
So good to know God is still making REAL MEN!!! May He continue to bless you and your family.
Just now seeing this and I completely agree! Don't ever apologize for being a good man! We need more like you in this world!
Amen brother! We don’t equip our kids well enough it seems today. Hindsight is 20/20 and if we allow the Lord to reveal it to us - His foresight is always better than ours ever will be. Stay strong!
Real words from a real man. Thank you sir!
Thanks Buddy Brown for your knowledge and faith!!! 🇺🇸🙏🏻
Well said!! Almost brought me to tears listening to you talk about your boys with pride, my BF giving me crap about the tears while we were watching he was cleaning up the wild turkey he got the other day so we can have dinner🦃🔫🏹💗👍
Stay strong, good going. God bless you and yours. Thank you, proud to be an American citizen.
My dad went hunting, fishing and grew his own food. For that I will always admire him. He was a WWII Navy veteran. I look back and so proud of who he was. He even took me small game hunting and fishing with him. As his daughter I will always remember those times.
Mr. Brown your doing it right God bless you and your sons
Hell ya! We just watched and our 4 yr old turns when video finished and said "does Buddy Really know me?" You spoke to him and he's 4. We live this life and always will! Save what's left of America while we still have something worth saving!
Absolutely 💯 your son has every reason to be proud of you. I wish I would have found a decent man after my husband died.
You get two nail on the head brother I remember the days I went hunting with my family my uncle dad and grandfather best times of my life my dad taught me everything you could today it's about man buns and doing nothing
God bless U my friend!!
Thank U for standing up for what is real!! We back U!!
SPOT ON Buddy! Those who listen to your words of wisdom will always be better people if they follow you and what you say!
BRAVO 👏👏👏
Man is not lost on us yet. I’ve always told my now 19 yr old son to never ever apologize for being a MAN.
He also had respect for others. Rushes over open doors for people.. things like that. I couldn’t be prouder of him.
Buddy Brown you are absolutely right. Thank You for this video.
I am 62 all this is old hat to me , My boy is your age or older, with kids of his one, It Warms my heart that there are still some folks out there with the same values I grew up with , keep the Great stuff coming, I Really miss the Old Folks !!! May they rest in piece !!!
Hey Buddy thanks for another great video. Real men is what this world is missing!
You have two lucky boys - they have a great dad. Nice job. :)
Do you know what man you’re like a pastor? We need more people like you to keep America strong the way it was meant to be thank you so much. God bless you.
