I liked SSJ4 because it leaned more into what Sayians were. When you look at all the other transformations they just look like Earthlings with colored hair.
I think the other transformations look like earthlings with colored hair because the saiyans adapted to how Earth is like and the animators choose to make the hair look like how it is currently
Valid argument, and while I agree to a extent I will say, I think it would make sense if SSJ4 and SSB were both implemented, considering the characters there given to, Goku and Vegeta. Goku is not your average Saiyan,he was raised on earth and definitely had different morals than most Saiyan's, along with his training from God's constantly (Kami,King Kai, Whis) it would make sense for him to learn SSB, since that's the road he's been going on. Vegeta is the exact opposite, He was a prince who knew and was prideful of being a Saiyan, And while he definitely mellowed out during the Buu Arc, those Saiyan instincts have still be apart of him. So it would make sense for Vegeta to be the one to learn SSJ4, as it'd be the epitome of being true Saiyan. It would also make much more sense then the both of them having the same transformations, as both are going into different paths of powers.

SSJ4 broke the convention on what Saiyan transformations were meant to look like. Heck. It would have looked better if it had some of the gold hair of previous super saiyan forms. It didn't lean "more" into anything. It was entirely different.
I’d say when viewing them SSJ4 looks like a regression. Clinging to a long lost (and dead) past and god and more so blue as progression and ascension. Raising above the base instincts that lead to the Saiyan inevitable fate.

Fusion suggestion: The one who initiates the fusion gets control. If they lose, they get roasted to the shadow realm and can't initiate fusion for another round or two.
More suggestion for control switches:
-- For every 1-2 bars of health lost
-- Half of overall health.
-- If there's a third idiot, they get control.

The one reason I like SSJ4 over Blue is that in GT, SSJ4 was it. It's the pinnacle. They didn't pull out ANOTHER new form when it was time for it. Like, they had techniques and strategies to help them win with or without SSJ4.
In Super, Blue was immediately over shadowed by other, stronger, forms. SSBE, SSR, Beast, UI, UE, and whatever new form that will debut in the next arc. At this point, these forms are created for marketing first and story 2nd.
UI is prob. The only good form/state/technique in Super with a good storyline since it was foreshadowed in RoF. And ye mostly news forms in Super basically for mechandising so expect them to release crazy stuff like a potential ssjb2 or a new type of ui lol
To be fair, Blue wasn't *immediately* overshadowed. Blue was literally the strongest transformation they had for like, 3 whole arcs. That's more time than any of the normal Super Saiyan forms ever had as the strongest form. Hell, that's the amount of sagas that SSJ4 itself existed. Rosé doesn't even count, it's quite literally "Blue but with divine ki", Black himself was just stronger. That's also why Goku and Vegeta got to kick Black and Zamasu's ass after training and they fused.
If I'm being honest, to me at least, Blue sucks because *it was* the strongest form they had for 3 whole arcs when they JUST introduced God. And it's not even a SSJ-SSJ2 situation, where SSJ shined through the whole Android focused part of the Cell Saga, cause god was acquired at the end of the first arc (that was already short) and then was dethroned at the START of the next one. It had no time to shine at all. The manga at least used it for some shenanigans and had some cool appearances, but it was an optimization thing. It had *1* fight that it was the strongest form available and that was it.
i would like to take this moment to remind you of Black Frieza, man just went training and decided i am stronger now. like Frieza is the worst case of new form syndrome, i would have been happy if he became a softer villian that gets out paced over time.

It's their go to transformation throughout the RoF, U6 Tournament and Goku Black Arc.
No new forms were discovered by Goku and Vegeta during this time.
It's in the T.O.P that Goku finally gets UI and Vegeta SSBE.
Infact I remember how people used to complain that SSB is overused.
@Xeno When was the last time SSB was enough to beat someone? ROF? Goku Black if you don't count Vegito or Spirit Bomb Sword? THAT'S it being overshadowed. It was introduced and then immediately overshadowed by other transformations. It solved the problem of 1 (one) arc and then was obsolete going further. At least SSJ retained some relevancy until the Cell Games.
Also it's their go to in RoF because that's its debut arc! In the U6 tournament the base transformation wasn't enough to beat Hit. Goku had to add Kaioken onto it.
And that's why I listed SSJ Rage being introduced in that arc. It's still a new form.

It's mostly because i like the simplicity of ssg and how it made subtle changes to goku's overall appearance, i also like how it was hype in the BoG movie, and really like how it portrayed as this brand-new level of power people couldn't even sense and just the overall hype the form had original Movie.

Super Saiyan God. The red, the aura, the simple yet noticeable changes. I also really like the mystery surrounding it durring the original Battle of Gods. I wish it had been the main transformation for Super instead of Blue.

I *highly* prefer the Super Saiyan 4 Transformation. Design wise, it just looks primal and fierce, which is what Saiyans are. Super Saiyan Blue is literally just, as Frieza said: "Super Saiyan with Blue Hair Dye".
But what I especially like about the Super Saiyan 4 Transformation is that it brought back the Oozaru/Great Ape concept of a Saiyan and took it to a Level "Even Further Beyond!"

I like SSJ4. It just looks cooler and links to the primal saiyan heritage. And goku acted like a true saiyan in that form.

I recommend you guys deflecting back the charge ki waves rather than just swatting them away. Also using lift strike in your combos to extend damage.
Tbh if they took time to learn the advanced combos off screen they'd fare a lot better. I see a lot of obvious missed chances to counter. Ain't saying I'm better than them just that they leave themselves open too much

SSJ4 was a real continuation of the lore and born from an intense desire to protect earth and ties back to his Saiyan heritage. Super tosses everything about Saiyans in the bin and just makes characters have new colors as substitutes for personal growth. Plus it just looks a lot better.

Is the inspiration for the god ritual and Ikari form Broly used
Gives you intimidating badass yellow eyes
SS4 Cons:
If you're a GT basher you won't like the form.
Super Saiyan Red pros:
Has a cool fire aura
Has a mysterious origin but was promptly forgotten about (along with Yamoshi for that matter)
Super Saiyan Red cons:
Is literally a fucking recolor of base Goku with red paint for his hair rather than black leaving it with no original design whatsoever
Has never won a single fight its been used in
Makes the user a toothpick
Had a healing factor but was promptly forgotten about and never used again after its fight with Beerus
Is objectively more aesthetically pleasing than Blue yet still gets left behind for another recolor
Super Saiyan 4 is leaps and bounds better than the recolor forms of DBS. It's not just the fact that they're lazy DeviantArt styled recolors that hurt them IMO it's also the fact that Akira's memory is literally toilet paper. He gives these forms abilities and shit but constantly forgets what he wrote not even 5 episodes later. I wonder if Akira even remembers that Royal Blue or Blue Evo or whatever that form Vegeta had in the ToP even exists.

SSG isn't supposed to be some fancy form. It is literally just him accessing God Ki. It's also not just a recolor of his hair. It has a calmer demenor Goku down and completely slims his body down to something way less muscular. That's the point of god is that it's not based on pure musclue strength. He's like a god and none of them are overly muscular as it's not useful in that form. It's refreshing to see a form not based in rage come from Goku. Plus these forms were much better used in the manga than the anime for Super. It also has quite a few newer abilities. Plus you left out cons for SS4 as it has some. You don't have to act like a GT fanboy to understand that all these forms

Ssjg is mostly a recolour in appearance since that subtle muscle mass reduction doesn't easily stand out , in a lot of scenes it did when it looked funny but that's the fault in animation . Though this isn't the problem about it , it's the rehashed original ssj lore and trash treatment . The recolours became annoying starting with blue .

Easily ss4, I cant stand a single transformation from Super except Rose because its not a new form but a corrupted version of an existing form.
I love SSJ4's design, I'll take that over any Super transformation anyday, sorry not sorry.
Super Saiyan God provided Dragon Ball with a new bit of mystery to its power and potential overall. It was a transformation that others couldn’t detect in terms of ki but it was overall short-lived and wasn’t able to be enjoyed as much in the series because they were so quick to bring out Super Saiyan Blue, Evolution, and Ultra Instinct. Super just didn’t really give fans the time to enjoy the transformations and showcase what they could really do other than the fact that it buffed their power to the realm of the gods. It just felt lackluster overall. Super Saiyan God still looked cool design wise but to me, no transformation in Super really added to the lore and potential of the Saiyan race quite like Super Saiyan 4 did in GT.

I like SSJ4 way better than Blue. It looks way cooler and more menacing. SSJ4 leans in the fact that they are Sayians. It goes into the roots of Sayians with the tails and ape forms. I like SSB too but it just look like SSJ recolor with god ki.
