A customer from the US had a challenge for us: Can you give the titanium case a high gloss finish?!
As you know, we love challenges! So we sat down for a whole day and gave our best to make the case as shiny as possible. So how do you like it?

I didn’t realise that titanium could be mirror polished.. you made it look so easy ! Obviously it isn’t but that’s the mark of your superior craftsmanship!
Thank you very much for appreciating our work 🙏
Indeed, it is not that easy at all and it took us more than a whole day, since the watch case is quite complex. But we love when the result turns out like this - then it’s all worth it 🙂
Hello@@kieserdesign , Why is it complex because I saw people saying that titanium is very sratch resistant but also that its vickers (the mesurement of resistance I believe) is lower than steel ... I'm quind of lost because that sounds contradicting information but anyway very interesting video, please keep making videos about titanium !
I want a Casio Oceanus S100 I want to keep it for life, just hoping I can restore the titanium after 10 years of use.
Well, titanium is actually really tough and can be brought back to life many times if you know how to handel it!
very impressive are you using diamond carbide tools to polish? Im attempting to polish tungsten but its tricky
Thank you very much for your appreciation of our work. It's always a pleasure for us when another craftsman joins the discussion. Carbide tooling is the way to go when machining titanium and diamond paste for polishing, of course. I can imagine that polishing tungsten is quite a challenging endever. Good luck with it!
tungsten can not be polished by using diamond carbide.
@@ftmetals Good to know, thank you!
neat
Thank you very much!
Beautiful
Thank you 🙏
Why did you submerge the titanium in the liquid at 1:36 ? Whats the purpose of doing that?
looks like an ultrasonic cleaner. Probably a watch cleaning solution of mineral spirits
@@anonimis06 Absolutely right! Well spotted ;-) Are you also a watchmaker?
@@kieserdesign nope, just a watch enthusiast
